sprinklers. although drip irrigation is the best. i think it would defeat the purpose of applying the mulch in the first place. the function of the plastic is to control and minimize the water seeping into the soil during rainy season for water sensitive plants. now if you're going to flood this area, the mulch would become useless as there would be excessive water in the soil
