  • For day 2 of our ORV camping trip adventure, we headed to the St. Helen Motorsport area. Though we did not ride a lot of miles, we did many activities! We started at the St. Helen ORV trailhead after trailering our rides from Ambrose Lake Campground to St. Helen. Our fist location was playing around in the Rocks area. Then we visited the Sand Hills, Beaver Lake, the Sand Pit & Bowl, the I-75 area, Sandy Flats, and a few low areas with water over the road and trails. Please use the contents below to go to the area of interest if you want to skip around:

Thank you for visiting and watching the video. Your ideas early on when the channel first started have helped. You deserve some of this credit! I have not gotten a chance to do a video on Jim's Honda side-by-side. However, I do plan on doing this along with his special lighting and controls. This will probably be a winter video. Thanks again!

Really enjoy your videos. I would like to visit this area some day. Is there any special permits required other than the Michigan .orv stickers?

No special permit needed. The two standard stickers will work. Thank you for the comment on the video, the helpful feedback, and the question.

    What GPS are you using?

I am using the GPS built into the iPad. It does not have cellular service. The GPS works fine without it. I do have a Garmin and a PinPointe, but prefer the GaiaGPS app and the GPS capability in iOS. I have used my iOS phone as well.
