4:56 you ever wonder about who could be on that train? somebody with nobody to celebrate? or perhaps somebody without the will. it would be sad to think that the train could be too late for somebody - as they watch the fireworks explode between stations.

The May 2019 marks the first year of Reiwa running only 8 months of this 2019, the current era as today use in Japan.
0:20 WHAT!? (it's not illegal to drink outside in Japan and I'm pretty sure nobody cares about that rule in that moment!) No hugging!? Haha, give us a break, damn...
No need Western-style New Year's Coutdown. If we become a crowd, manners are also disturbed. We should return to the traditional style where we Japanese originally greeted the New Year quietly.
Keep in mind New Years is more of a religious holiday in Japan. Many people go to temples and shrines at midnight. Rowdiness and fireworks is not their traditional New Years. So yes it is tame by western standards.
They pop off Fireworks for Summer Festivals, but not for the New Year, that's just sad. It's like Japan never wants to be apart of the world, and would rather stick to the one in their head.
japanese celebrate their new year with family catch up for the first sunrise and go the the shrine.its a 4 day events from 31 till 3 january. its not they don't want to be different from the rest but its their new year custom. not everyone have the same new year celebration

its more beautiful if it has fireworks in it!
fireworks got up in another place
LIKE NEW YORK 2021!
If you were wondering where the fireworks were, one of the rules legitimately said “No fire” so in theory they’re following their own rules
And another one, "no dangerous goods" so that's basically a double violation to bring fireworks

英語でカウントダウンする人もいれば日本語でカウントする人もいることに気づいた人はいますか?
I prefer tokyo disney sea/land countdown, because it has fireworks
That’s a little underwhelming! Nothing happens after the countdown. You can’t even leave or move ! Hate to be in stuck in the crowd like that.
