Thank you Brilliant Classics for Castelnuovo - Tedesco. I have never heard of this guitarist, or composer before and I greatly appreciate this. Bellissimo. Graziosamente.❤️ Bravo !!! Antonio Rugolo 👏👏👏
He were not a guitarist at all, but actually, as many composers really, a piano virtuoso. Just with Spanish Isaac Albeniz, his music however has been taken to heart by many classical guitarists and is today almost entirely known as classical music for the guitar.
Wonderful music. Much a Latin American wipe to these compositions, even though Castelnuevo-Tedesco were Italian. Apparently his name literally means Castle New German in Italian. He were a piano virtuoso, on top of being probably the most influential Italian composer last century, but did not perform on the guitar, so it is yet another odd thing, like with Isaac Albeniz, that his music is mostly known today as classical guitar music.
Except Castelnuovo-Tedescos's music was written for guitar, while Albeniz wrote for piano and his compositions were later arranged by others for guitar, so not so odd after all. :)
No es muy común encontrar este tipo de obras en tablaturas. Quizás sea tiempo de que consideres aprender a leer partituras, no es tan complicado como se piensa, lo mas complicado es tocar las piezas. Saludos
Thanks for the upload. Such great music! However, I’m confused about how these pieces count as Italian while his other pieces don’t. Since Tedesco was Italian, shouldn’t all of his pieces be considered “Italian?”
There is no Greater Love!!! The Cross was MORE than enough! Pays for every gap of man, woman and child on planet earth surrendered to King Jesus! We could never do enough good works, we could never pay...no amount of sacrifice...Jesus had to come save us...and HE DID!!! My heart will sing forever!!!
Hillsong is a hideous false church anyway. Actually, calling Hillsong a church at all is stretching the word: The Bible definition of the word is a set apart congregation under God. Hillsong is the world, it is lost people rocking to the name of Jesus Christ, calling on Him in vain!
@Disqus Menisqus Maybe he show you his gratitude by giving you the gospel message, and to that you definitely should listen, even though he represent a false church!

Dear Tom, This CD contains all the works for solo guitar that MCT wrote in Italy before emigrating to the USA. This is the reason for the title! 🙂
Great, I play classic guitar too
