I was been here in Oct and water temperature was 31°C , yes , same as what you said that corals are almost blenched at all, its really make me sad ....
What is not too obvious from the video is the coral is dying all around. The water temperature was around 30°C and there is a coral bleaching all around :( I'm definitely worried about how those beautiful coral gardens will look like next year.
Absolutely Beautiful...Thank You for sharing. Something that struck me as I watched was what it would have taken in the 1980's to make a video of similar quality. You would have needed $20,000 worth of equipment just to get started.
Yeah, You're absolutely right. I started to dive something like 25+ years ago because of the beautiful underwater pictures and videos, but the equipment needed to get a fraction of today's quality was too expensive those days. Today, I got just one small handy camera (btw this one was shotted on GoPro 10 Hero Black worth of $300 and zero lights!). Similar to photo shooting, I used to photo with Canon D1/D5 professional cameras but nowadays I use only iPhone with almost similar quality. Thanks for your kind words!
Классный ролик! Спасибо! Не увидел дюгоней в Марса Мубарак!
You're lucky. I never saw the dugong there and I have been several times in Marsa Mubarak... :(

Great video! Can you please tell me what camera you used to film it?Thank you
Hi, thanks, it was filmed on GoPro Hero 10 Black with no additional lights.

Do you think it’s still worth it to visit for a dive in January?
Yeah sure. You will enjoy a low season - few divers, colder water = brighter corals etc. But be prepared that it might be quite windy in January.
Bleached corals everywhere 😢
Yeah true, unfortunately. Hope the ecosystem will recover but...
