The international standard for fuel reserve is 5 litres ...however, Indin 's are known to be stingy as such depend's on the company management's decision in terms of cost savings while selling a car.
i was in scorpio from zoomcar after reserve i refill the fuel in scorpio it was 48 ltr which i filled up... but scorpio tank is 58 ltr so approx 10-15 ltr in reserve in scorpio as per my experience

If you run your car on low fuel then there's a chance that you might damage your fuel injection, which will cost you more. So at least always keep 20% to 30% fuel in your tank
Thank you so much bhai for giving us valuable information. Actually wanna share my recent experience with you. What happened few days back I went to fuel station and I told them to refill my car tank for 500 RS and from here the story began.That bastard show me the meter ki sir check karo zero hai and all so I sad ok.
At that time my car fuel tank was almost empty and it was showing me blinking light. Then he started filling petrol after some time I realize that my fuel indicator is not showing me the status of my tank. I asked him did you really filled my tank he said ha sir meter dekho and all. So I explained all the fucking story so he said sir wo hota hai aisa aap aage jaoge na to it will get updated automatically.Because Everytime i refiled my tank it get updated on the same time then also I too blindly trust on that fellow and I did continue my journey then after 500 meters I realise somethings is going wrong gadi mai fuel dala hi nahi hai.
Then i again go back to fuel station and i shouted on him and He was started arguing with me said nahi sir aisa waise then I said to him let's do one thing refill my tank for 500 more if my fuel indicator will not update I will leave from here without saying any word and if it gets updated then I will not give you single rupee he said to me ok. Even i added one more thing when you will refilled indicator sill show you 3 lines and then he refilled my car fuel tank and you can't imagine 3 magical lines come on my dashboard fuel indicator guys please be aware from such scam.

My fuel light was on, some in my family was driving the car so i don't know exactly how much he drove after that. i paid 500 rs.. he refuelled 4.10 ltrs and man even after 4 ltrs fuel light is still on 😂

Sorry to say but you could have used common sense 😂😂😂😂😂 actually vo fake nhi tha pta teri buddhi nakki kharab ho gayi thi…. Bhai jab fuel tank empty ho tab 500-700 ke petrol se fuel gauge increase nhi hota 😅 jab range 30-40 km ki hi bachi ho and agar tum 500-600 ka dalvaoge to range increase nhi hogi.. kyu ki tank kuchh jyada hi empty thi agar tum 1000 ka dalvate to pakkka range increase ho jati…. Or jab tum wapis se 500 ka dala to total 1000 ka hu to fuel show karega hi na 😅 usme us petrol pump wale ki koi galti nhi thi tumhara knowledge kam tha. Mene ye bahut bar experience kiya mujhe bhi esa hi laga tha ki 500 me. Distance to empty range badhi kyu nhi?? Par jis jis bar already fuel low tha sirf usi time esa hua…. And jab range 80-100 ki ho and mene 500 ka dalvaya tab range badhi thi… mene tank ek bar complete empty karle 500 ka petrol drum se khud dala tha or check kiya tab bhi range increase nhi hui thi.. esa fuel ek dam low hone se hota hai bhai…. Tumhare sath koi fraud nhi hua hai ok

Regarding low fuel warning..
Kucch cars DTE (distance to empty) k hisaab se low fuel dikhati hai. For example 1st Gen Figo low fuel warning deti hai jab dte reading 80 km p aa jati hai aur low fuel led keeps glowing and it warns You again when DTE comes down to 40 by making one chime.
It is risky in some cases...
Jaise ki aap fuel tank full karwane k baad highway trip maaro to milage accha hone ki wajah se dte 80 km tab dikhata hai jab lagbhag 4 litre fuel is left but agar aap fuel tank full karwane k baad mostly city me drive karte hai to dte reading 80 p tab aa jati hai jabki tank me 5 litre fuel ho.
Fuel ko liter me kyo nhi dikhaya jata hai dashboard per kripya bataie aur lagta hai aap meri comment nhi padhte hai aapko maine tractor pr vidio banane ko kaha tha jaldi banana please

Bro, please don’t encourage people to run their cars with low fuel in the tank. It’s only going to harm the engine as all the little particles sitting on the tank base gonna run through the system and will effect the reliability, performance and the efficiency of the car engine. Mind u, fuel is not clean in India as u get in the western world. I live in Europe and for the same reason even fuel is clean by the European standards still people try to avoid to drive their cars with low fuel in the tank. Peace ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️

I hv tested this several times on my Swift, i hv touched 90-95 kms after the fuel indicator lits up. I hv the same habit of keeping trip mtr to 0 once fuel indicator gets on. @Gagan Choudhary

Yes u heard absolutely right.. If u have a desiel car then b careful bcoz once it intake the air it will put you in trouble.. So always keep in mind that some amount of desiel should always remain in the tank.

Mr. Kashif so far my experience says you dont have such problems in petrol cars. If someday your tank is empty in that case you just simply put the petrol and you can carry on but in desiel car it's not that simple...

Anil Joshi it will be shocking for you but its capacity is more than 45. On paper its 45 but actually its more than that.
I always do a full tank on refueling and always my average is about 43 litres after 40-50 km of blinking of that refueling light.
On frst full tank after taking delivery of my car it went to 55 litres
check out whether the fuel station is not fooling you ,bcoz i have experienced this many times and a police complaint was registered, try checking out by asking them to fill in 1 litre bottle

@@InfonTech sorry for making correction to your reply.i would say that the weight of tyre and alloys doesn't make a sense for overall fuel average. Bt when the vehicle needs the torque on punching or in the curves the heavier the wheel weight lesser will be the torque generated. If this happens low ratio gear is to be shifted so it makes the loss of fuel.not so much bt fact is correct it really affects.

Now a days almost all cars give the distance to empty (Kms it can go with existing fuel). So when you see that fuel warning light (orange) then you can check the Distance to Empty. I drove my car (old Ford) which shows 80 Kms as distance to empty (DTE) when that warning light starts. I had kept the DTE info ON always and had driven past 45 kms after DTE showed 0 (ZERO). That means I have consumed all the 80 Kms after the warning and went past 45 more Kms. Then I filled the fuel. But even then I had no signs from the car about any lack of throttle resppnse. But then I realised how much exact reserve I have , just in case of any emergency. Try it only if you have the fuel pump in your vision. Just shared my experience. Mine was 1.6 L Petrol giving city average of 12 kmpl
