MS Amma and Sankarabaranam - An appreciation by Aishwarya Shankar

A most wonderful and insightful analysis and tribute by Smt Aishwarya Shankar focusing on the raga Sankarabaranam through the lens of MS Amma's melodious music.
We do not know if Sankarabaranam was indeed MS Amma's favorite ragam; what we do know is that M S Amma sang it extensively and so beautifully.
Aishwarya Shankar covers the entire gamut from varnam and viruttam to ragam tanam pallavi and shares keen observations and deep insights which helps us expand the realms our own listening.
