+skunker52 this style of playing is actually considered Blues. check out blues artists who most prominently used the slide include gospel singer Blind Willie Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Son House,Robert Johnson and Casey Bill Weldon.
+Cairoxl5 it's not country but the blues. country music has borrowed a lot from the blues and originated in the same part of the US - The South. they are like cousins to each other.
