As a HiFi collector and Reseller, I ca not tell you how jealous I am of your pick ups here Dustin. This sort of quality gear just doesn't exist any more here in the UK - once in a lifetime sale. Amazing stuff to see!

I happened along a sale one time where the gentleman was selling his nos Yamaha 3 piece system. I thought he wanted $25 a piece for the receiver and 2 amps but he wanted $25 for all. Apparently he just wanted something to play his music and was talked into buying this $1500 system which he basically never used because he was so intimidated by it. I ended up parting out all three pieces and selling them for $1100. Lots of work to deal with music equipment but the payoff can be fantastic.

I picked up one of those trinitrons. They're from around 2004-05 I'm pretty sure. Got mine for $1. As a CRT I think it's not as desirable of a model because it's flat screen and newer, but still worth picking up if it's free or very cheap. I'm keeping mine to play my retro games on. :)

At those prices I would have made an offer on everything especially on the second go round he obviously wanted it gone, "I don't want to tote it home".

Lol, as soon as I heard trinitron I started laughing. I bought a 32 inch I believe 15 years ago. Took all my 2 friends and I had to get that beast upstairs to my room, one swears he acquired a hernia in the process🤣. Months later, one of said friends calls me needing help getting a TV in his house...a 36 inch trinitron 😓😭😂😂. They are literally like 200-250 pounds, awesome TVs though.

Honestly, my fave pick was the manuals. You are right, they are long tail, but you are also right in that they are easy to list, easy to ship, easy to store. That is my mojo all day! The audio equipment is great but I am curious as to how much time you have to spend testing, listing, and shipping it all. Not even going to mention how much room that storage is going to take up!

I saw some reel to reel tapes there. I have sold those and made money as well. Sometimes they have old classic rock on them. I keep the ones with classic rock, because they are way too cool. I play them on my Akai reel to reel that I couldn't part with. I got it for $10 two years ago.

So, my favorite pick is def the sony trnitron. My son is a big gamer, especially into the retro stuff and computer games. I've heard all about the sony trnitrons and how cool they are. lol I'm sure we'll be hauling one of those home at some point. lol He has several of those huge retro monitors that weve had to haul home, and they are a beast to move. I can only imagine that tv. Pro tip for the Pro picker, always carry a small furniture dolly and furniture moving straps in case of an unexpected trash pick. My little furniture dolly has saved my back so many times by getting something heavy from point a to point b. Furniture straps are great for carrryng bulky, awkward items, but, you do need 2 people to use them. But, my sister and I moved an entire 2 story house full of furniture, including mattresses and box springs using those straps and couldve never done it without them. So they may help you when you move, if you plan on doing it yourself. Enjoyed the video, all those old electronics brought back memories of good times, good music

At a sale like that when there are other buyers looking to take items, it'd unlikely you have the time to test everything. Price everything as spares/repair and if it works, that's a bonus.

I salute any resellers that deal with Glass (Fragile Items) and Bulky Electronics... The time to test, clean and package just never made sense to me unless you're fully set up for that kind of business. Still I'm a sucker for vintage electronics, its what I used to do until I moved to another to another niche.

    Treasure hunters, take note.
If anyone finds old, very worn and flat rubber soccer balls at any estate sales/garage sales/yard sales let me know.
I'm looking for late 1960s, 1970s full size rubber soccer balls that were used in soccer games during that time period.
Many, if found today, would be very worn, beat up and flat. This is OK by me!
I would pay anywhere from $100 up to $500 for some of the oldest, most worn rubber soccer balls that could be found out there. The big issue is dry rot unfortunately. If the ball is hard, stiff, firm, dry cracking, peeling, flaking, then it has dry rot. If it very soft and mushy when flat, then it does NOT have dry rot.
Many of these rubber soccer balls do end up in storage units, just sitting in boxes, usually from soccer coaches who never threw out old and worn equipment. The treasures that could be found!!
