The Highlander was quite possibly the greatest movie starring a Frenchman as a Scott, a Scott as an Egyptian, and an American as a Russian. I loved this movie as a child and still do to this day.
The greatest was Return Of The Living Dead 2 which had some of the same characters and story despite them all being killed in the original (a funny film). At one point they look at each other and said "Doesn't it seem like this has all happened before?"
Same actors. Different characters. I propose it’s an alternate universe which explains why no one remembers the events of the first. Though in the last two (if anyone else watched them) they ARE the same characters but no one remembers the previous movies. Hence the alternate universe theory
I don't agree with the Halloween H2O entry. The movie deliberately ignores movies 4-6 and that's not a secret, just like the 2018 version ignores everything that came after the first one. I think a better entry would have been Halloween Ends. That one IS a sequel to Kills. In the 2018 version and Kills, Lori has spent her WHOLE life preparing to face off against Michael, and the end of Kills promises the final showdown between the two. however, Ends starts 4 years later and Lori is now trying to live a happy life after the death of her daughter, without considering the risks of having Michael still at large, despite having made her daughter a living hell for the preview 20 years preparing her to live in a dangerous world. What sense does that make... Oh and Michael is magical now, for some reason.
they do explain how Neo destroyed the machines albeit vaguely also Reloaded and Revolutions weren't the original concepts they were rewritten after singer Aaliyah died in a plane crash as she was supposed to have significantly important role in bot film
Evil Dead II did not remake the ending. It was a recap and started were the first left off This has been debunked by Raimi,Tapert and Bruce but somehow morons keep thinking it's a remake
There’s a great video on TH-cam where Bruce explains it and shows the footage from Evil Dead spliced together with Evil Dead 2 it fits perfectly together.
So That's The Reason For Evil Dead 2's Some What Confusing Opening, The Rights Of The 1st Movie? Some Assholes Didn't Let Him Reuse Some Of The Scenes.
Tales From The Crypt Presents: Demon Knight and Bordello Of Blood are apparently indirect an sequel to one another. The only link to the two flicks is that religious relic/blood vile which played a major role in Demon Knight, while having a cameo in Bordello Of Blood without rhyme or reason to how it came into the possession of some else; as opposed to the protagonist from the previous film.
There is an explanation for how Neo is able to destroy the machines outside the Matrix. it's a bad one, but there is. Either the Oracle or the Architect tell Neo that the One's powers reach beyond the matrix. Yeah, it's bad, but it's there.
Changes are not that bad. Rocky does awesome job with this. He heals and fights. H20 makes no sense in things you mentioned. Laurie's daughter, what happened to them. But it's still fantastic movie. Jaws: The Revenge is extremely stupid😊 Extremely. It's good you mentioned Highlander II. It's awful and makes no sense. They tried to add reality,l.ike they were banished alliens. They screwed up completely! That wasn't at all needed. Christopher wanted to walk off the set. Director left the premier after 15 minutes. Matrix change is confusing. The part how Neo destroyed the robots. Pteranodonts part is also confusing. American Psycho 2 seems stupid too. I understand why Christian didn't appear. Great list😊
Toy Story 4 and Frozen 2 should’ve been on the list. They completely disregarded everything from Toy Story 3 and Frozen 1 and completely undid the whole purpose of their respective franchises. Separating the main characters just goes against everything the series worked for
What about Jurassic World Dominion? Fallen Kingdom ends with the promise we would see dinos lose in the world causing trouble. But Dominion is about a 007 style plot about grasshoppers eating the worlds supply of grains and causing the extinction of humans... with a sprinkle of dinosaurs here and there.
This TH-cam video discusses various movie sequels that retcon or ignore elements of their predecessors. Here are the summarized details of each movie covered in the video: Evil Dead II: This sequel to "The Evil Dead" retcons the original story, acting more as a remake. Changes were due to rights issues, and it confused viewers by altering the plot and events. Rocky Balboa: The "Rocky" franchise continues with the sixth film, ignoring the lessons of the previous entries as an older Rocky returns to boxing despite health issues. Halloween H20: This film dismisses all events after "Halloween II," retconning the story and ignoring a three-film story arc centered on Jamie Lloyd. Resident Evil: Extinction: The third film in the "Resident Evil" series ignores major events from the previous entries, leading to inconsistencies and confusion. Jaws: The Revenge: This film disregards the previous sequel, "Jaws 3-D," completely and changes character backgrounds and relationships. The Matrix Revolutions: The third film in "The Matrix" trilogy doesn't explain the reasons behind Neo's powers outside of the Matrix, leaving fans to speculate. Jurassic World: The new "Jurassic World" series disregards plot points from "Jurassic Park III," such as the escaped Pteranodons, without any explanation. Highlander III: This installment ignores the events of "Highlander II: The Quickening," a critically panned sequel, to create a truer sequel to the original "Highlander." Brahms: The Boy II: This sequel changes the supernatural nature of the original story, altering the premise and focus of the franchise. American Psycho 2: A standalone sequel with little connection to the original, "American Psycho 2" includes a brief appearance of the original film's protagonist, Patrick Bateman, but isn't a proper continuation.
Evil Dead should NOT be on this list. Do your research. Evil Dead 2 starts exactly where Evil Dead ends. What is confusing you is that the first few minutes of Evil Dead 2 is a truncated remake of the first film. Sam, Bruce and Rob were unable to obtain footage from the first film. They didn’t have the rights. Sam felt it was important to get the audience up to speed. In 1987 ED wasn’t as widely seen as it is now. So they filmed an extremely truncated version of the first film to get newcomers up to date. Evil Dead 2 doesn’t start until about 7 minutes into the film when the unseen force drags Ash through the forest. Which is exactly where Evil Dead ends. In fact it splices together perfectly. There is actually a great video on TH-cam where Bruce explains it and plays the footage spliced together. Look up Bruce Campbell explains Evil Dead Evil Dead 2 connection with visual proof.

Yeah such a good movie #1 was

The biggest wrf for me with Halloween H20 was it was set after Halloween 2. So where are the burns? Michael had zero burns in H20.
I came here just to make sure Highlander was on the list of the sequels. Awesome/incredible first film - they should have heeded the tag line...
Evil Dead II did not remake the ending. It was a recap and started were the first left off

100% if you were confused you have major head issues

Some Assholes Didn't Let Him Reuse Some Of The Scenes.
What about Halloween 3 Season of the Witch? This has literally nothing to do with any Halloween movie

Terminator Dark Fate should be here.. 😆😆
Can’t forget about ‘Bill and Ted: Face the Music’
Pretty sure I watched a different video with this exact same premise yesterday.
Yeah like wtf
Se te olvidó gi joe 2 el contra ataque , aunque parecia mas un reeboot
Terminater 3 anyone?

The entire X-Men franchise?
What about Toy Story 4? It's a cash-grab sequel that nobody asked for and it totally ruined the entire trilogy.
Men in Black 2…
MIB 2 did pretty much ruined the ending of the first movie
Highlander had 3 sequel movies
No just highlander 2 and highlander 3 it's a trilogy.
@@salliewagenblatt5188 and there is a 4th movie too
American Psycho 2 was god awful.
There's only one sequel to American Psycho, and it's called The Rules of Attraction
Como se fue distorsionando y desviando de sus orígenes la saga Evil Dead. La tercera película es ya una completa ridiculez.
Mila Kunis is the worst.
So Alice gets her powers at the end of 2nd film. It happens on screen but no explanation beyond that
