- Amnesty International is a worldwide movement of people who campaign for internationally recognized human rights to be respected and protected for everyone.
We believe human rights abuses anywhere are the concern of people everywhere.
So, outraged by human rights abuses but inspired by hope for a better world, we work to improve people's lives through campaigning and international solidarity.
Our mission is to conduct research and generate action to prevent and end grave abuses of human rights and to demand justice for those whose rights have been violated.
Our members and supporters exert influence on governments, political bodies, companies and intergovernmental groups.
Activists take up human rights issues by mobilizing public pressure through mass demonstrations, vigils and direct lobbying as well as online and offline campaigning.
We have more than 2.2 million members and subscribers in more than 150 countries and regions and we coordinate this support to act for justice on a wide range of issues.

Great Orginization.
To be a part of, to support or canvas for.
Thank you for being a Solid Orginization.
This amazing vision brings tears to my eyes. In the early seventies I experienced the tragedies in central america. Such dreadful inhumaness against other beautiful beings. So
Many loving and courageous amnesty international supporters put their lives in danger incessantly every day in central america. This is true Love in Action. My heart is warmed by the actions of these amazing ans courageous ans compassionate supporters ans
Lovers of the human race. My heart and prayers go out to each and every one of you with this most blessed mission on earth
“Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
I am proud. I am a member of this organization.
Thank you Peter Beneson for your insight and determination. Here's to 50 years 2011.
I JOINED.
You make a really good point, a lot of different aspects, causes off oppression and inequality are unexamined, ignored, or not recognized as they are enacted and implemented on a day to day basis, and are supported and maintained by economic injustice. I look forward to the day when the valleys are exalted and the hills and valleys made low.
1961 - USA joins Amnesty International
2010 - USA is still keeping prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, often without charge, where many have been tortured.
Where are the Blessings of Liberty today?
Sharing, Justice and Peace.
Amnesty International is a key organization.
Proud to be a part of this community
We may developed our better future, if we teach our children in childhood to help others at any cost....its the first step of to protect Human Rights
thanks for showing how it started - human conscience is global, inherited to all humans independent from religion, customs, time
I understand what you are saying but still my entire education from childhood has been there to teach me to be a tool as opposed to actualy educate. I work at a local grocery store and I live with the knowledge that the food we sell doesnt always get produced in a manner in line with human rights. I feel that every day I try to live a normal American life I am indirectly affecting someone negatively. I too am doing my best to help but it's hard when you cant escape the system that hurts others.
I condemn Al for
publishing and supporting the UN. Not mindful of all that UN and its arms have been involved in and the truth about them doing the opposite of their purpose, was meant to protect.

Mighty JESUS Be with us.
Amnestr is most interested in those places. we have more than 20 people working there
@niten73 I couldn't have said this any better. I may not be from Tibet, but I support and endorse their freedom from the Chinese gov't.
Amnesty International
Im all for human rights an amnesty international, but when people escape from prison and there faces cannot be shown to the public for the publics own safety because it breaches there human rights or a hate preacher cannot be deported back to there home country for inciting others to do terrorist attacks on civilians because it breaches there human rights, thats when i draw the line.
Great, thanks
Im only watching this video for a school thing
OK thanks
DEAR AMNESTY, MANY PEOPLE USED ME IN SUPREME COURT &VARIOUS OTHER COURTS IN INDIA TO TAKE BENEFITS FROM JUDICIARY WITHOUT MY CONSENT. NOW HOW CAN SUPREME COURT DISOBEY MY 15TH PETITION TO CHIEF JUSTICE OF INDIA? SUPREME COURT MUST HAVE TO GIVE ITS VERDICT AS PER MY 15TH PETITION TO CJI
@ antiglbtMAN, how can you have so much hate for other humans and call yourself a human that stands up for human rights, I feel sorry for you, I also forgive you but, I can not help you with your Karma, that is something you will have to deal with when it is your time, Buddha bless.
Save Bengal
Considering the Dalai Lama is a lying hypocrite, I believe you.
@Eladas334 If there's anything to karma then I bet your gona be eating out of dumpster's one day, think long & hard on what kind of person you are to view your fellow man in such a way.
You should expect people are as innocent as us until fully proven guilty otherwise ifcwe are not bad people then why we expect other be bad
But maybe they can hate West, for nothing.
en 2004 j"ai contacté Ai sous ....

Sorry to Amnesty International fall so far, and now deciding that the blame for civilian harm in Ukraine lays squarely with….Ukraine (because they didn’t do “more” while in a fight for their existence against overwhelming odds) or on Ukrainian soldiers, who are given instructions on the best locations to die (away from civilians).
Not surprisingly, Amnesty International’s decision and article (which never even involved or talked to its Ukraine chapter) has been fully, gleefully and vilely embraced by pro-Russian, pro-war supporters (see videos on their Ukraine report and view the comments yourself). Just that fact alone would concern a true human rights organization, but not AI, whose only response was “sorry if we offended anyone, but not sorry…we stand by this 100%).
Would never support AI again (and a past donor), which I am sure they won’t mind….the money from Z and pro-war Russian supporters should be rolling in, as AI’s report has been the best news they have had in months.
Doubtful organisation
