    Great review. The whole review...I was pretty sure it was narrated by Edward Norton. Sounded like him, at least: “When you have insomnia, you’re never really asleep...and you’re never really awake.”

      Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it. I can definitely hear some similarities to Norton!

    The SRPD recently became one of my most worn watches. Quirks aside (the end links don’t match up as well as I’d like etc), it has a clean design and mine barely loses a second or two, in a week. I might’ve just gotten lucky, but that’s pretty accurate, for an affordable watch.

  • @A-FrameWedge

    Just got 1, but got the one with gold around the hour markers and hour and minute hands, it is a understated gold look but gives it more contrast look with the gold and the lume and looks great with the green dial.

    The SKX and the SPRD bracelets are interchangable, but be advised the SKX used the large spring bars. Standard spring bars will rattle in SKX and the large spring bars will not work in the SRPD.

    I like its bezel-less siblings even more. It's a very good design which deserves better materials and finishing(sure higher price also).

    Couldn’t afford a Hulk, nxt best alternative. And i love wearing mine every day. The green reminds me of golfing which i love. I also have the jubilant bracelet for a little classier look. The offset crown doesn’tdig into the back of my hand and i get compliments everywhere with it. A great watch for the price point.

      I think I’d go for this one. The green is a little more interesting but not too over the top. The dress kx is a very nice watch but I think this one is a little more tool oriented while the other kind of tries to play both worlds while not perfectly fitting in either.

    i have that exact same circular blemish (scratch) on the tail end of the minute hand on mine. Maybe it's made in the manufacturing process? I'm guessing some sort of suction cup that makes it? no clue..

    • @theknightswatch
      @theknightswatch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say so, although green isn’t as versatile as black or white or maybe even blue, this still is a dark enough shade where it doesn’t stand out too much.

    I just got my first Seiko and went with this model. I got a steal at £100. No box or extra links but I love it. I'm a little confused with the date wheel though I have french and English and I'm not sure if the numbers sweep to the next or click at 12. Does anyone know?

    • @theknightswatch
      @theknightswatch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Typically the date and day takes about 30-45 minutes to sweep over. Rarely a watch clicks over immediately. Congrats on the watch and enjoy it, it’s a great piece

  • @matthewdavis8199
    @matthewdavis8199 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great call on the wearability of the case. Like you I've never been a fan of the SKX007, but I do like this range. I have worn a friend's Islander, and those are terrific watches for the money. Marc runs a terrific business. I recently sold my current generation Diver 300, and lately I kind of have a thing for a Rado Captain Cook, but when it comes to super affordable dive/tool watches I do think Seiko made a great move from a sales perspective. I bet Seiko has sold a ton of them, especially to mainstream buyers who would have never considered an SKX.

    • @theknightswatch
      @theknightswatch  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. I should be getting an islander to review soon that Marc was kind enough to send to me so that should be cool to see them side by side. I’ve owned an islander briefly in the 38mm size and it really is well built for the most part.

      Ya comes with more links than what it’s sized at in the video. Should fit you to an 8 in wrist or so but if you have a wrist bigger than that you’ll have to try to order more links. Just look up a video on sizing bracelets and you should be able to do it yourself
