I'm SO glad to hear another performer say that "children don't need magic"! I've felt this way for a long time. I've had a plenty of times when people think because I do magic that I can do their kids birthday parties. And just don't understand when I say that I don't perform child shows. I believe adults are the ones that need magic to escape from the everyday mundane
Magic will never grow old. I'm 69 and I love being amazed, and there's no way the Internet will kill it, it's another avenue of enjoyment and magic. Thanks Chris and all the best. Keith - all the way from the mystical Arthurian lands of Somerset, UK. Be well.
I honestly don't know what's better.... when you are truly fooled.... or when you know exactly how the trick is done yet still astonished by how elegantly and beautifully it was executed!!! Either way.... magic is wonderfully graceful and artistic!!!!! Love it!!!!!
I'm a musician and when I listen to music I can hear stuff regular people can't. Not to say that I'm special, it's like that for every professional musician. Now I've been watching Chris videos for a month or so, and I casually got myself a deck of cards and started learning some basic stuff. Absolute beginner stuff. But now I see the trick he pulled on the guy in the car, I saw something, so I rewatched it. And boom, I was able to figure it out. It felt just like with music, a surprise at first, then a connection. I'm gonna enjoy this in my spare time.
I don't think magic will ever get old. People watch basketball night after night, and they've seen better players, better teams. Magic is the same way. Presentation, how fast and clean someone is, personality etc. It will never get old. Just look at Chris Ramsay and all of his friends challenging one another to greatness.
You have officially become the Casey Niestat of magic. Your talent of magic combined with great video production/editing skills makes for an amazing and creative video. Thanks for uploading this, I truly enjoyed watching! :)
Chris, I just want to say that I seriously love the street magic videos that you do. I do street magic for a living (as well as spotty gigs because magic isn't in high demand where I live). So seeing these videos give me new ideas to incorporate into my own gigs and every time I begin thinking that people don't really like what I love to do, I just watch your channel and remember why I started. Thank you so much, Chris.
Your videos are a profound inspiration. I deal with schizoaffective disorder and suffer from mania and depression that comes from these hallucinations, and the harmful actions that they have caused. But your videos are a bright light to keep me reaching for my dreams, and so are you. Thank you Chris for your magic***
Best selling of trick I ever see (talk about hat store) and "Red hot" ... Almost 2 years ago I came across this channel, but I watched solving puzzles, and today I spin a deck of cards through my hands instead of meditation, literally obsessed with sleight of hand.I know that I will never be a magician, but I adore when you leave someone without a text with a little magic.
Today was at my school chemistry lesson and the teacher showed us noftelin, and I remembered you and I shout- "fenoftalina!!!", then everyone looked at me like 'what?!' and understood how cool is to follow you and how powerfull your channel is! You actually created a language! Thanks Chris!!
videos like this always remind me what's important about magic. performing for real people. if you ever get down on your skills, frustrated by a move(cover pass for me right now) just remember that's not super important. blowing a spectators mind and forming a connection beat out move monkey stuff every time. The real magic is in combining social skills with sleights.
As a teacher, as a human, as someone who deals with people on a daily basis, I want you to know that I appreciate all you do. I recently started watching your videos, but I feel at home with your philosophies. Keep it up!👍
The silk scarves and coins from my ears still amaze me. It is the speed and precision and amazing skill ! ! I can't do it and I can't see how it is done............MAGIC !!!!!!!!!
It’s a bit late for me to see this video, but it is still early to see people putting on a smile after a simple and a great magic trick.Glad that I still exist in a world that full of happiness...No one knows the future, magic does.
thedustofthefuture I think the trick is actually not a magic trick but in fact it is a mentalist trick AKA a trick of suggestion. You suggest to his mind that his favorite song will play and his mind does it for him
Don't believe in everything you see on YT. Tricks with cards - that's something huge and I really admire people who can do these properly but this headphones trick? It was just a set up scene dude ;)

magic will never die Chris.. as long as we keep it that way.. your one of the best iv ever seen as a full street magician.. amazing man never let it die 👍
Hey Chris I just wanted to say that I've been doing magic for 3 years and I was at kind of a stand still for the last year cuz I didn't know where to go with it, but when I found your channel and saw your look on magic and the books that you recommended it changed the outlook I have on magic, and gave me the inspiration I needed to go the extra step. Because like you said the magicians that will survive will be the ones that continue to push the boundaries. So because of that I wanted to say thank you for just being you! :)
ABSOLUTELY love people's reactions. I could watch street magic all day. I got excited about magic with David Blaine's street magic. I don't need big and fancy, I need that one on one magic. Where the magician blows people's minds. Even if I know how a move is done I'm still amazed because of the execution.
I started watching your channel for the puzzles, then found out you did magic and thought "what a dork" ... Then I watched these street magic videos. You sir have proven me wrong. You some how make this stuff look boss. If this is the future of magic, its going in the right direction sir.
Really had to think about your comments at the end about people saying magic is going to die off and I am with you. Magic has been recorded for so long and people perception of it has changed from witchcraft to many other things but magic itself is still here and I think it will continue to withstand the test of time! Thanks fr making great videos and keep doing your thing!
Just wanted to say that your channel is very inspiring. I've always been a big fan of magic so I wanted to start learning about how to perform when I came across your channel, which just motivated me to learn even more! Thanks for putting out such great content.
Chris I love all your videos but I really enjoy the ones with street Magic. You are very talented, thank you for sharing this with us. Your are such an inspiration.
magic will never die... honestly, the more I feel like I've solved a trick... the more BAFFELED i am of how hard it must've been to get it down to a perfection. to me, magic is just another disciplinary art form that requires skill, thousands of hours of practice and even some natural talent. the adult mind may get fooled at first, but upon discovering the actual trick... most like myself, are more inclined to praise magicians for their RIDICULOUS level of precision, mind influence and trickery. for me, that's what makes most magic fun... it's like watching Steph Curry bury a bucket from half court, or Tatis Jr. nail a 450 foot homer... or even watching an actor give an oscar worthy performance. there's an artistry about it, a skill to it... i can really love and appreciate it.
Great video Chris. Well shot, edited, narrated, all that. This is why you're my favorite TH-camr. I think we all can agree that we appreciate the effort you put into your videos.
It does see I am explaining Chris asked the person to name a card he named a card Chris quickly controlled that card to the top and on top of the "thought of" card was the blue queen of hearts then he did a double lift and kept the blue queen down bt they thought he kept the 4 down then he forced the red queen of hearts and boom the tricks done… see u just need to think
just wondering how u make money? do people pay you afther the trick or do you get paid by sponsors/organisation? (btw music was a little loud sometimes. maybe turn it down when you talk.
First he has Sponsors for his videos (he mentioned squarespace) so he does make money out of the YT-Videos, not out of the street magic. Maybe sometimes a person wants to give him something, but that is not planned. Second he does (or did?) Gigs, like magic shows for companies etc. where he gets of course money like the caterer or any other artist. In his early days he also did tricks as a bartender and got better tips or generally in bars for free drinks etc. Maybe he does it still, but I think you can now imagine how he gets his money, even if my list isnt 100% correct or complete.
I really love your videos because of your personality and your magic. I'm watching your vids for a pretty long time I learned and now I see magic in a whole new way. Keep up making videos!!!
