i was fat and depressed with anxiety id get this sinking feeling like my hearts in my stomach scared for no reason, generally was unhappy, antisocial, didn't like people looking at me, somedays didnt want to get out of bed.
i decided to lose weight this year April after hearing Tyson fury story. i weighed 24 stones. in 6 months i have lost 8 stones Alhamdulillah, now weighing in at 16 stones i have left another 3 stones Insha Allah.
i have started reading my namaz 5 times a day Alhamdulillah and my depression is under control.
i lost weight using caloric deficit. and exercise for my mental health. even walking is enough as long as you get your heart pumping and breathing hard for 20 mins every other day. now if i don't exercise i get depressed again. but when i exercise i feel i can dominate the world. its a next level high.
I met harris in odeon cinema we watched tennet movie the 1st day it came out. let me know if theres any way i can help insha Allah
Also i am actually really lazy lool and im a big eater love my food so if i can do it anyone can.

Loving the podcast! Zee is hilarious man!! Some good discussions but In regards to religion I would like add the following:
Allah mentions in the Quran ‘every soul shall taste death’ and never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come.
Death is a reality which we will all face one day whether we accept it or not. We all know our date of birth but we don’t know our date of death. When our time is up our souls will be taken. ‘To Allah we belong and to Allah we will return’.
We will all be lowered into our graves and a Hadith to the nearest meaning says ‘the grave is either a pit of hell or a garden of paradise’ this is dependant on the deeds we have done in our life. Our faith teaches us to have faith in one Allah and follow the teachings of the prophet Muhammad s.a.w so when we are judged in the grave we are successful and actually resting in peace. The grave is like results day, it’s the first stage of the next life. You will know on that day whether you have passed or failed.
I understand the tragedy you have gone through, may Allah give your mum the highest rank in Jannah. You should always keep 100% faith in Allah.
Put your trust in Allah. Allah loves those that trust [in Him]. We need to have tawakul (perfect trust in God and reliance on Him alone). This is when we will understand that everything is Allah’s plan and we will accept and carry on.
You mentioned if you are religious person why don’t you sit in the mosque all day praying? Very good question but Islam is not about sitting in the masjid all day. Islam is a way of life. If you live your life according to Islam everything you do will be rewarded ia. Going out to earn for your family, smiling, greeting people, treating others with respect, meeting the old and sick, helping the needy, meeting family and friends. You can live a normal life and as long as you do everything according to the teachings of the prophet, ia you will be rewarded.
I am by no means a religious person or claim to be a molvi.
I am not perfect but I try my best.
I understand that you get a few so called religious people
Who put you down. Those people do not represent Islam. I have had experiences with them sort of people my self and they do more harm than good. I hope to see you one day ia and we can sit and talk about it. I keep you in my dua’s that allah makes your faith stronger and you overcome all the issues u have in your life. Smile and keep others smiling. Big up Harris and keep the videos coming :)

Bro this is exactly how I would of put it, Harris we love you bro, may allah grant your mum the highest rank in jannah. Ameen. Try your best to pray bro, no ones perfect bro, i'm not perfect but the mental issues you have bro, I've somewhat have experienced in my life and its horrible bro, the anxiety, social anxiety it just messes with your head, be productive, stay busy to keep your mind of certain types of things.. I've been struggling but alhamdullilah for everything, before ramadhan, I went through one of the worst stuff I could experience in my life, social anxiety, depression, stress you name it, I never used to go out, always in my room 24/7, mentally it messed me up and I used to be anxious alot, my legs used to shake, my sugar levels were low, I used to eat junk almost every single day, but alhamdulillah I started praying and I can't thank allah enough, when praying it relaxes you, that stress like zee said goes away and I just prayed 5 times a day, tried my best and I got out that loophole that I was in, in ramadhan same thing bro, but tbh I need to start praying again and in sha allah everything will be alright, harris I've watched you for years, I've watched the vlogs and there is 1 vlog that brought tears to my eyes were when your parents came to dubai to visit you and then they had to go back to the UK, that was a hard vlog to watch and emotional, I followed your journey and ma sha allah you've done wicked for yourself. Make your family proud, your mum looking down on your bro, in sha allah will keep you in my prayers always, I know its a long paragraph. The best physiotherapy is talking to someone, showing them how you feel, some people you can't talk to because you be like they don't care, but family members talk to them, these sessions bro waste of money.

Anyone who has not lived through or been through mental health issues will never be able to relate.
When a person is a prisoner to his or her own mind, it is hell .
May Allah Subhanahu grant Shifaa to everyone suffering from any ailments.

I can relate to you with the struggling to pray, when I was 13 I lost my grandad and i was so close to him because he supported me and helped me out when everyone else had written me off. And when he passed away I too became distanced from the religion because of it. And even today I struggle to pray as I too feel what you do but inshallah I will start praying more. I am trying to get back into it.

So nice to see you both after a long time!! Loved the podcast.. especially about mental health it’s an issue that’s not spoken about especially within the asian community, I just hope that whoever is going through mental health problems finds peace & light. I’ve struggled with it for many years and with counselling/therapy I found that I am the only one that could help myself out this situation & stop letting my thoughts control me because that is what really messes you up the most. Thank you for sharing Harris I really enjoyed watching hope to see more soon InshaAllah.

Regarding what you were saying about if you believe in Allah and the life hereafter, then you would be praying every moment you could. The thing is Harris, Allah is so merciful and kind that He knows we are human beings and therefore have other needs and desires. He has said He created angels to worship Him non-stop for eternity, but He created the son of Adam (human beings) as the best of creation even above angels, because He LOVES our worship as we do it out of our own free will. As long as we keep living our lives in accordance with His laws (sharia), such as not eating drinking haram, not having relationships outside marriage etc, earning the halal way and not through crime etc, then whatever we do say to day, as long as the intention behind it is correct (ie providing a halal income and food for my family, making my parents/wife/kids/siblings happy by spending time with them) even sleeping and going to the toilet to relieve yourself will be rewarded by our most Merciful Lord. Just try to learn about the life of our beloved Prophet pbuh and follow his teachings which is always for our own benefit anyway. For example we are taught to sleep on our right hand side and pray the shahada before we sleep. If we do this our entire night of snoring away is classed as worship. The scientists only recently discovered that sleeping on the right hand side is very good for the body as it doesn’t put pressure in the heart etc. We are taught to wash ourselves after going to toilet, scientists are only now saying that cleaning of private parts with water after going to toilet pretects ppl from so many diseases. We eat with our right hands, again this protects us from illness as we wash private parts with left hand. All these things were taught to us by the example of our beloved Prophet’s life, if we learn about our religion, increase our knowledge and act upon it our whole life will literally be classed as worship. You dont need to spend your whole day on the prayer mat, nor does Allah expect that from you, but the 5 daily prayers are obligatory so full effort must be made to try to carry these out. It’s just a few minutes a day, think of it as the time when you are standing and talking one-to-one with Allah, when you are taking time out from the hectic rush of life and just being at your closest to Allah. Would love to speak to you more about this subject

Love the podcast guys. But I got to have my 2 pence on the god situations. I lost my dad when I was very young and as a result I grew to realise that in my opinion there are no gods. It wasn't easy coming to that realisation and took years. I was a believer myself growing up because I'd been indoctrinated into Islam since birth but my parents weren't extremists and were a bit more on the liberal side. Like we didn't go mosque every Friday or nothing like that lol! Well, I found out that humans invented many gods. 50,000+ have been invented in human history. One leading theory is that the creation of gods was a psychological mechanism to deal with stressful situations like death. When humans first realised that if someone dies, that's the end, they didn't want to accept that so they created imaginary worlds to deal with death. Let's imagine there actually were real gods. if you think about it honestly wouldn't you have to say that these gods have some malevolent traits? Because would any kind and caring god kill 30,000 children everyday around the world when they supposedly have the power to stop it with ease? Would a kind god cause all that grief with 60,000 parents around the world every single day? A pain that would last a lifetime. That's what these gods do every day allegedly... Kill 30,000 children. It's a terrible statistic wouldn't you agree? And many of those kids could be saved if only they had access to basic medication. So anyway, I won't go on ad on but my position is that there are no gods. Just my opinion though, obviously no one can prove one way or another. We can only assess reality and draw a conclusion.

Hariss you need to be the change you want to see. If you are afraid that your kids will shy away from being Muslim you need to demonstrate to them the beauty in our religion. Everybody has faults everyone makes mistakes and you can never in fact will never be the perfect Muslim and that is okay that doesn't mean you don't try that you don't embark in your journey. It is your journey you have to try your best. If you are sick of molvi I strongly recommend you look up shaykh Muhammad aslam from Birmingham he is an excellent shaykh who relates to our generation

Harris ive been watching u for a long time. Bro i respect the fact that u were straight up about your belief. Alot of people feel that way about religion but are scared to mention it because of the backlash. All i want to say is dont renounce your religion and become a athiest. Reason for that is if u die and it turns out God is real then you're f*****. So best thing to do is believe in Allah pray whenever u can be a good human being which is the main thing and leave everything else to Allah. This is the lowest level of iman. Better that than becoming a agnostic. May Allah makes things easy for u. May Allah make all of us stronger in our belief. Much love bro
