You have done a wonderful job in giving info of MM2H and your life here. As a local, I start giving ratings to buildings and hotels wherever I go. My sister who was in real estate taught me a few things. If you give information, make it to international standard.
Before Covid I tried three cities in Malaysia,KL Penang and Ipoh,a month in each,I couldn't give you an answer which was the best they all were wonderful.I guess if you like long walks like me Ipoh was the best.I love Malaysia so much and get to practise the language on the locals.
I loved this one Taylor ! I just cannot get over my attraction to KLCC ! I started looking in Thailand, but after much consideration, I think Malaysia is far more attractive and first world in appearance. I adore your condo, especially the soho style high ceilings, I can imagine a piano up there with a ten million dollar view. I truly can only think of one negative about your building, I haven't seen any units which allow for an outdoor balcony. Am I wrong here, or do no outdoor balcony's exist ? I also cannot get over just how extremely reasonable your rent is ! Your decorating is top drawer, simple, elegant and so well pleasing to the eye, I as I said . . . adore it. Thank you so much Taylor for allowing all of us a peek into your world, your efforts are so appreciated. P.S., I could do my super-nerdy Amateur Radio Hobby from a balcony, so that's a huge reason for my personal interest. Take good care my friend ;)
Appreciate the apartment tours. Seems like a buyers market given the number of available units. Using an agent sounds like the way to go. Look forward to your Melaka vlogs.
Great video. Happy that you got in with MM2H before they raised the requirements. It's quite possible that most people were looking into retiring in Malaysia are no longer qualified for its visa. So those attractive amenities seem too far reached. Enjoy your life in Kuala Lumpur.
Not true. The USD rate is now 4.74 and looks poised to reach 5.00 Imagine that...for what you can buy 1 of...in the US, you can buy 5 of.. in Malaysia. The MM2H requirement is peanuts in USD. Now would be the best time for Americans to apply for MM2H bcos the USD is very strong.
Excellent info again. I am looking now for 3 month rental in KLCC and some properties have over 250 units available so its buyer paradise. But prices have gone up earlier this year. I had a unit at RM4500 per month now want 6000 thats why shopping around. I look forward to your video on Malacca as that is on my plan. Thank you again for great video. So glad the earl grey comp has finished that did my head in.🙏👍
Great and informative video Taylor!! Like that you are going to do more about other apartments. What about doing a video providing an overview of the various parts of KL and the major suburbs. Sort of a map overview.
Pavilion Embassy just across the The Linc is opening soon. That will be an interesting retail & F&B addition to Jalan Ampang and it is not too far from your apartment.
The security is for the new expats arrived from Europe or amarica . As for you ,you know how safe it is in Malaysia you can live in top 5 most crime city's in Malaysia and still find it fun and friendly. Btw Bukit Bintang is 1 of the top 5. 🤭🤭🤭
The key card is only for our floor and car park. Our access is indoor and outdoor facilities and lobby. In Kajang, MKH Boulevard is an eye opener to good living and sandwiched between two MRT stations.
A+++. Could you explain what length/type of rental contracts are typically available for these sorts of apartments as I'm now thinking of living in Malaysia for around 6 months to avoid the cold winters in Europe.
Thanks for showing d beautiful places around Ampang Hilir. I used to live with my parents in Jalan U'Thant, off Jalan Ampang, so much has changed since d 1970s.

Hi Andrew. Good to know dat u seem to b very happy living in condos. Sorry to say, I shudder to think dat I hav to live in one!! Can't stand d claustrophobic environment. I used to own a unit in my housing area, and found my investment to b more trouble then its worth. I disposed it wen I fully paid for it.

Those security guard you mention must be nepalis gurkha. In my apartment previously they even salute residents who is coming in and out. Really weird but their society is military based society. so thats why.
Hi Taylor, great video! Quick question, in general, how welcoming are most places in regards to animals? We would be moving with one cat (we see you have one too). Does having a pet make it more difficult to find a place to rent? So glad we found your channel! Thanks!
didn't see Earl Grey on the first pass this time...must have been distracted. That's some pretty good rent in KL. Go to Kuching, if you liked Penang you'll like this place too.
Hi if I may ask what would be your pick of apartments in a building leave the view out of the question N S E W and what floor range avoid the lower floors or not comer unit I think would be one way to narrow it down ty noel
Well after having a few exposures here I would favor facing north to avoid the hot sun. I face south now and it’s not too bad but avoid east or west. I like corner units to have less adjoining neighbors but most construction here is so solid that sound between units is minimal. I prefer to be above the 10th floor for breezes and less bugs. I’m on the 28th floor now and love it except for the elevator ways sometimes. Hope this helps! 😊
We rented a one bedroom for $2800 in Miami. Turned out it was roach infested. For the additional protein we didn't have to pay extra. The US is vastly overrated and not worth the money anymore.
Sorry to hear that! Roaches are gross but they aren’t limited to Florida! The apartment I’m in now had a roach problem when I moved it but I just got an exterminator to come monthly for about $10 a month. Well worth it to be pest free! 😊. You are right though. The US has gotten way too expensive.
Hi Taylor, thank you for your wonderful videos. I do have a question. Can one purchase say high blood pressure, diabetes or cholesterol meds in Kuala Lumpur without prescription? Hope you are able to give me some insight on this topic. Thank you.
