Good honest reviews, plus you can pick up a 0211 PXG 2023 driver for less than £150, so a driver and a lesson on how to use it may be a better way of spending £200, keep them coming mate.
@@paulhuk2748 what’s there to question? You’re saying that your better spending £150 and he’s saying you might as well spend the extra to get the Kirkland club and lessons
I compared this to my 2017 Taylormade M2 and the numbers on my M2 were better for ball speed, carry, spin & dispersion. I was also fitted for my M2 when I bought new, so it could definitely be the shaft.
@@garymartingolf yes mate, lost confidence with my TSR2 so I bought it just to get me through to next year where I’m going to get fitted for a new driver
Interesting review Gary.. James has given the Kirkland driver fantastic reviews(for what it is)yours was a bit different but as you say its down to the user. I would not dismiss it the downside i guess is that you cant trial it before you buy
Like I said, it has the components which can blind you into thinking it’s good, but to hit it, I thought it was miles off a ping, callaway, Tm from within the last 6 years. It just felt too torquey in the shaft and the head was high spinning when you catch it well. If it had been £99, I might of spoken more positively, but at £199, you can do a lot better.
Great honest opinion Gaz an James. Your opinion that this driver just not as good as expected, sorta sums up my opinion on these sort off clubs. Costco/Kirkland are a company about making money, not about being good at golf. Best to buy good branded clubs second hand. From somewhere affordable 🤔
Of course, but Costco is a company with many brands an products, Callaway, Taylormade, Titleist etc are companies who specialise in golf products. I think you missed my point.
great review and match, most people are new club snobs, they will buy a lesser new club rather than buy a better second hand just so they can say it's new.
Big difference at the most driver is going to be around 500 quid these are 200 saving 300 quid. It is a good evening. Secondhand car Quite a few thousand . Pound difference. Compared to a new one. Plus. Cars you have service history and stuff to go off. Use golf clubs you don’t have anything apart from looking at wearing to. Could’ve been used once and been the deal of a lifetime it could’ve been used for the last five years every other day and then had an absolute beaten
Both my son and i each got one this week, mine in reg, his in stiff. He hits it well @260+. Me, I cant get 200 yds out of it as my current SIM outdrives the Kirkland. It doesn't seem to have the jump/spring off the face, like the SIM, which has the compression slot. Not sure if its the shaft??? I Tried adjusting the Kirkland with little success. Will try a few more rounds but can readily get a full refund w Costco at $269 cdn.
Gaz, Costco knows it's market of buyers. Season golfers won't buy them, nor would players with higher swing speeds. There is a reason they sell out. Second, you cannot view them through your eyes
Cleveland launcher xl brand new £180 great forgiving driver and gets out there a good distance also another option thats a good driver but is non adjustable but tbf if your looking at a kirkland driver im guessing you dont need to really be messing with it tbh is the wilson d9 brand new is only £130 much rather go for those 2 options from established brands tbh
They've been at my local Costco for about a month now. Genuine question: I'd like to know what exactly is wrong with it. You hit decent shots, you said it had quality components, you said it felt good to hit ... and yet, you both spent more time bitching about the fact that it is from Costco. I.e. not from a big brand. Feels like golf snobbery to me?

Got mine for Father's Day and LOVE it!!!!!!! It is as forgiving as they say.
Glad you’re enjoying it 👌🏼
Cobra radspeed xb £199 brand new. Available on a few online outlets. Would be my choice at that price point.
Agree. Cobra Radspeed is a good driver 👌🏼

I’ve gained 20 yds on the drive. Great feel and sound.
Picked up mine for 80 US dollars as a return. Shaft is perfect for me. Total cheat code for me. Putting my epic in the basement.
I got a new one off of Ebay last week for $168 delivered. Going to the range tomorrow.
The shaft off my Mizuno stx 230 fits the kirkland as well, or vise versa.
Gazs knees on the chipoing 🤯🤯🤯🤯 bending into the shot mate ..
I’m a nervous wreck atm, need to go and see Dan greaves
I got an Aerojet left hand driver off golf clubs for cash for £138…bargain, great video again mate

The crown of the Kirkland driver looks exactly like the top of the Mizuno ST Max, but without the Mizuno running bird logo.
Actually, now you mention it, it really does! Could be another law suit coming their way 😅

The Mizuno shaft/tip fits the KS driver.

I wasn’t aware of the refund policy, that’s great!
I agree that a second hand quality driver is far better than a new budget one. I’d sooner have a second hand BMW than a brand new Ford!
See you in the repair shop
So you're saying this isn't a quality driver? What do you base that on?
@@interestedbystander196 Just my opinion. That’s what we all have. I’m not a professional golf club reviewer.
@peterlightowler3807 Have you ever hit one of these? Have you even seen one? My point is, an opinion must be based on something.
Hundred percent agree on the bottle cap what the hell is going on with this planet?
I can't be arsed to shop at Costco in the first place, nevermind for golf equipment
I’m the same. You think you’re saving but all you do is end up buying stuff in bulk that you don’t really need.
Ps. We keep winding sam up about your comment 🤣 saying, that was a goofy swing 😅
NO - many, many other pro-line clubs available for under that amount - perhaps not 2024 models, but all brand new and, arguably, superior clubs.
Used like the M2 for sure and cheaper. 👍
I do love the m2 but they’re as expensive as a rogue max, something only a few years old. I guess that’s because they’re good 😂
