Something about it sounds so calm, serene and warm. I especially love the tenderness it conveys. I think FF8 is an adquired taste, I guess people expected a classical final fantasy or a ff7, but once you get used to it, I think it ranks in the top ff's in my books.

I was expecting a guitar cover that was gonna take creative liberties with a tune we've heard for many years now. I'm all for that. I was not expecting an arrangement that was note-for-note accurate on the one instrument and it surely did play with my nostalgia here. Beautiful!

The only time that's not true is the period starting shortly before the game and ending about half way through it where Ultimecia is possessing her.

man this takes me back. unfortunately it takes me back to nostalgic panic. i was so young that I didnt really yet understand the concept of a disk being dirty and interfering with the game. my disk was dirty and after the note at 0:53 there was like a 50% chance that the game would just crash. so I had to hurriedly get across balamb garden to another save toward my next objective trying to get there before that note or just hoping the game wouldnt crash. good times. great rendition of the song.
