Kevin, i just wanted to say that im working through your guitar series right now, and im actually progressing and feeling hopeful about being able to play the way i want too! Ive been wanting to play my own music on guitar, and thanks to your series, i feel like i can realistically do it one day :D
Hey man, your videos actually helped me progress since I’ve found your channel. Just a recommendation: you should make a video on how to find the key of songs by ear and then from that be able to identify the chords. That is something I’m trying to work on but am struggling greatly. I think there is a lot of people of out there with the same problem and with your teaching skills I think it would be a great lesson
He's back! Congrats on the 100k! Followed from the start(ish) before the big jump from your roadmap videos. Would love to see some triad and more intermediate level content in general! Thanks
I might not have the biggest audience on TH-cam, but I have captured the exact right group of people who are interested in both guitar education and tax compliance
0:56 I actually can't play electric guitar, my family will complain that I suck at electric, lol. I do better on acoustic, and I can easily tell that one sounds better than the other when I play. Eventually, I might try electric again after I get better at acoustic. As for acoustic vs electric, it really just depends on the person I guess.
Hey, great video, I'm curious what you think about rhythm while first trying to jam with friends. Maybe it's just me but personnaly what I'm finding the hardest as a breginner is not stepping out of the rhythm or listening well to any change while also playing correctly. Cheers, happy holiday and thanks for another great video !
Kevin, my fingers are too small. I am not giving up on this dream- Is there a thinner neck guitar or another string instrument that is in between a ‘ukulele and a guitar’?
I’m at the point where I can play some parts of songs but not really progressing much. I’m 74 and have been learning since May. Any suggestions? Keep up the great videos.
Only if your total cost of therapy as a private individual exceeds 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. There’s also the matter of proving to an auditor that the amp was necessary for therapy… But I’m not a tax attorney so all of that was a joke/entertainment hahahahahahaha!
Beginner player in my 40s. Learning online. Your videos are very helpful. I like the way you teach. Thank you.
The fucking bus didn't stop for me but at least kevin uploaded
Fuck that bus!
I’m so glad to see another upload from you, I found your channel about a week ago and you’re phenomenal at teaching
Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel!

Great video. As the mighty Dave Weckl put it: "The more I practice, the more people tell me how talented I am."
Music theory is really easy...it is however "HARD" to grasp a new concept....but once you learn the basics it all becomes way easy to understand.
Agreed. Major and minor took me a while to grasp until it somehow clicked

Typing on the Guitar...??
As soon as he mentioned that myth, I laughed soo hard.

Well done. Thank you for adding the other links for us beginners. I'll take a look at those as well. Thanks again!
Yoo he's back! Congrats on the milestone!! Great video too btw
I like your take on myth three, I've actually learned the most when I jam with others. I've learned alot of songs that way😊
I’d trust Kevin with my guitar education and taxes any damn day of the year!
I might not have the biggest audience on TH-cam, but I have captured the exact right group of people who are interested in both guitar education and tax compliance
@ Quality > Quantity my good man

are the guitar lesson/roadmap videos done or are you gonna post more of them?
I post them still, I just don’t label them as level 5,6,7, etc because when I put the number on it fewer people watch
@@kevinnickensAre you still putting them in order in a playlist so that those still doing it know where we are? Thanks!
Love your videos
Thanks!
Corrected Video Title: 6 Guitar Myths no one ever claimed and Myth # 5.
I just want to have fun and jam with my dad
WWHERES THE 18TH LESON
It took me months to play G chord. I always think I m not talent
merci kevin
that's all well and good, but... if I call it "therapy", can I deduct the purchase of a new amp? 😉thank you
