it was built with real wood too. all these new modern homes, although i will say are extremely efficient, arent made to last being most of it is being held by glue (OSB, MDF , egineered wood etc)

(I hope the person with the hose is wearing respiratory protection with all that VERY toxic dust in the air as the house is being demolished, even with all the water being sprayed to control the amount of dust in the air.)

Of all the careers you could've chosen, you decided to be a home wrecker. Nice job getting that place leveled. For the last few I've seen from your channel, every time you go into fast mode, it makes me think of an old B-horror movie like Godzilla, King Kong, or the many of the 60's -80's flare with its herky-jerky motion. Pretty kewl if you ask me. Look forward to watching more from your channel. Keep up the good work.
Amazing how fast you can demolish one of these houses. I've been operating for close to thirty years and have yet to bring down a house. Maybe one day I still shall. Thanks for sharing this awesome video friend.
My house was built in 1963. I drilled a hole in the wall in one of my walls and there was no insulation in the wall. There was about about R-24 in the attic. I blew in insulation in the walls and went to R-60 in the attic. Very low energy bills these days.
I know its a wide-open question but approximately how much does it cost to have a house around that size torn down? My Dad left me two houses, i live in one. The other is in absolutely horrible condition.
I did my first demo back when I was 12 and all we ever use was a 983b and still have & use that old girl today now and then Ha.. and our daughter who is now 30 can run it like riding a bike.
Very skilled driver . We are currently watching ours be demoed , 8300 sq ft house and garages one garage 4300 sq ft collapsed during heavy snow . We watched excavator didn’t take long . So sad was bought it 2 1/2 years ago
Think about all the time and labor that goes into building a house, and it gets demolished much quicker years later. The house I grew up in, in the country, was demolished about 10 years ago. I'm glad I wasn't there to see it. What really amazes me is the machines humans have built - that can accomplish something like this so easily. It would probably take months for humans to take this house down with no machines.
What a cool looking machine excavators are my favorite type of construction equipment. I enjoy watching your videos a lot keep making great videos I like your videos a lot keep making great videos
if a couple lived there build that house by themselves ,started a family raised their kids ,kids grew older ,parents aventually passing away hopefully lived well and happy without disease and the kids see the home they grew up in getting demolished for new people 😢❤
Probably just to keep the homeless people from seeking shelter in it like every other abandoned building these days , people would rather rip down unused houses instead of turning them into a furnished space for the people who need a place to live and can't afford to get a place.
Wouldn't take long to tear my house down as it's much smaller than that one kinda figured they would clear out sections in the middle to push side walls inward when there are other houses close by as mine has. Wonder if they use big drop dumpsters or dump trucks to haul the debris away ? .
I've grown to like older small looking houses like this. My grandparents had a house like this during my childhood during the 80's and 90's but I didn't pay it no real attention back then. From the outside they look small but will have sometimes have a total of 5 bedrooms in it. Houses like this arent always healthy to live in.
This is beyond messed up! This is a 40’s to50’s era home. You will never see a home built as well as these! The lumber as good as this is long gone! The workmanship is some of the best! This is a disgusting waste! Who am I to say? A carpenter of 50 years experience. This is a sin!
How’s the structural integrity? How’s the watering? Mould? Damage on the inside? Remember sunshine, when you have no idea what you’re on about, keep your mouth shut 😂
New owners may have simply wanted a bigger house, this happens all the time, but it could have been molded, as usually they leave one wall up to spend less money (legal purposes)
How about some context in your videos? A backstory! You KNOW we all want to know WHY you demo what you do...was it a crime scene? Biohazard? Eminent domain? And not just this one but all of them. You know why you do it, so tell us why you're doing it.
When demolishing with a digger your actually supposed to keep pushing away from you & not pull towards you, but no danger here as this is is timber & not a solid block or stone construction
With a basement, all that torn down material would go into the basement as he tracks forward. He would compact it, and then sit on it further into the home.

This is the problem with society these days tear down the older homes cause people want some new giant ugly looking house with no character an craftsmanship they rather live in a house that built With low quality wood an materal an make it so it so expensive
That’s not always true- our 1960’s home on the coast has flooded multiple times and the county won’t let us restore it- they’re forcing us to tear down and build up on pilings!
Here’s the thing-most likely, this house wasn’t torn down because they wanted it to be. Usually when building a new house, people will leave one wall up to spend less money, like a legal loophole. They can demolish this afterwards if they please, but much more likely is that either the home was molded or damaged beyond repair, or the government has bought the property and it has been rezoned.

$8k-$11k plus a good $3-4k to completely remove the basement if it has one.
