    Even the best fighters in the world start making silly mistakes that lead to loses. I've heard about Tyson's mistakes prior to the Buster Douglas fight.
    I was training along side Buakaw before his KO loss to Sato. I couldn't believe how chill his training was. Especially after hearing how Buakaw always trained like an animal.

      I think one thing you didn’t mention is drinking culture. I came from Lethwei scene where some top fighters like to drink too much too often during the training camp. It’s crazy.

    I heard Niccolino Loche had absolutely terrible cardio, but because he was so relaxed he used his energy much more efficiently. I think Lerdsilla and Emmanuel Augustus, though they no doubt trained much harder, also exhibited ungodly cardio as a result of a relaxed demeanor.
    Do you believe that mindset, and staying calm, could actually have such a dramatic effect on a fighter's ability to last through till the final bell - even with a lack of cardio?

      The Cardiovascular system aka cardio - your lungs and heart ventilate your muscles, brain and organs as they work, providing fresh oxygen and taking away CO2.
      Training cardio will improve your ventilation system, allowing you to push harder for longer. Being relaxed will decrease your need for ventilation because your body will need less oxygen and create less CO2, which will also allow you to push harder for longer.

    CARDIO CARDIO CARDIO!!! I just fought in the Golden Gloves this past Sunday (I won). I do cardio seven days a week, but still by the end of the second round I was like, I have to change up my cardio retinue and do more sprints. Cardio is my weakest part of my routine atm. I agree, without stamina, if got in to a skuffle I only have about 2 mins to defend myself before I'm gonna start losing the stamina. Though I don't leave the house much, and I practice martial arts for health rather than prowess, cardio is my next bit. Gaining the muscle first for someone like me (I'm chronically ill lots of issues) was more important for my hormonal balance and to be able to lose weight faster with less work. I'm comfortable with my muscle gains, now it's time to start to trim down with a huge focus on cardio. Can't wait to hit the trails near my house cause I've lived here a while and never had the health to actually do a bit of hiking. This will be a first for me. And I'm pretty happy with my progress. Thanks for the video. Just gives me more motivation.

    I don’t think the movie analogy worked for underestimating an opponent. If you think a fight with your opponent will be easy and it’s and suddenly you’re in a tough war, that is not analogous to going to a movie you were told was good and being disappointed.

    Biggest mistake I see is NOT GUARDING THE FACE. This guy for example on StreetBeefs called Blackie Chan was impressive his first few fights, then he went to an MMA gym and they taught him to keep his hands down and constantly try to grapple, ended up eating shots to the face after that losing all his fights.

    As a low level amateur Muay Thai fighter any advice for not getting nervous in fights. People think I don’t care but I just don’t get nervous at all before or in the ring?

    • @BrianX1333
      @BrianX1333 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it’s your first fight, not being nervous isn’t necessarily a good thing but also it’s not a bad thing. I wasn’t nervous at all leading up to my first fight. When I walked out as I walked to the cage the nerves hit me and I couldn’t feel my feet. Lost in the 2nd round. Now it’s more different, I’m 3 weeks out and am a bit of a nervous wreck at moments in the day when I think about it but try not to care because no matter what it’s going to happen. It’s more so the anticipation leading up before every fight.

    • @jabarihaymond7704
      @jabarihaymond7704 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All I can say when it comes to nerve you need to find your perfect median between being not too nervous but not too relaxed. Before my fight I barely thought about it until fight day and I just went out there and performed, don't overthink it but also don't shy away from having nerves because everyone has nerves. A fight is a fight regardless so go in there and have fun 👍🏿
