As a Newcastle Fan it was a very close Game .And the ref at Times made some crazy decisions for both Teams .Best of luck with the Season I hope you do well and I reckon you are dark horses for Europe either Conference or Europa 👏
What does VAR stand for? Video Assistant Referee. If VAR is an assistant, how can VAR cancel a referee’s decision without allowing him/ her to see VAR’s reason for overruling?
Forest Fan here I enjoy your videos as it is far more civilised than some of the Forest videos.
Sorry for what happened, but believe me Forest had many similar instances last year.
As for MOTD they are just a bunch of fame grabbing hasbeens. They are not really football supporters and do not give their views the time of day.

Agree about MOTD etc. It felt like last season we would get crazy decisions (or VAR ignoring decisions that should be made) and it happened every week… but Gary Linker & Sheerer would just smirk and laugh it off… as would opposing fans and the whole of the football world. It annoyed me cos they at least seemed to accept Wolves’s case.
Goals are nowhere near as enjoyable anymore. The peak enjoyment of the sport is no longer a fun thing to watch. That’s how you kill a sport. Great content as always boys. 👏🏻🍒🍒
My best memories in no particular order.. Stephen Purches' goat at the Millennium Stadium, from Mossy's punch to Purchey & co tearing down that pitch - perfection!
Brentford away during the great escape (when Mel Machin came over to the away end at the end of the game to heal the lame and cure the sick😂)
Shrewsbury at home that same season 3-0 at half time and safely secure (everybody keeping the town awake beeping car horns all the way home!).

Just going back to the 'memories'; although not game, there was the bus tour along the sea front to celebrate our promotion to the premier league. I remember one of the players on the bus wondering if anyone would be there to see them and as they turned around the corner there were 60,000 supporters on the beach. What a day.
When Joelinton did his arm job, a camera panned across to Eddie and he visibly shuddered, then his face brightened with the yellow.
Newcastle fan here. Very disappointed with our performance in this game, window everything about this season so far as a hole. Bournemouth were very unlucky not to win and I believe the goal should have stood, Howe seems to have a soft spot for Bournemouth still as he doesn’t want to beat you guys and the decisions he makes makes me think he’s undercover at you guys. All the best this season
You’re right there, having a soft spot for Bournemouth is a bit of an understatement

I don’t think VAR is necessarily the problem, it’s the referees who are using it incorrectly. Look across Europe and their experience with it is so much better than ours

I'm a Villa fan,but I have to say you were done v Newcastle with another terrible decision by the officials as many have been at the start of the new season,1pt instead of the 3pts you should have got & fully deserved, although we won our 1st game v West Ham,their awarded penalty too equalize in the 1st half when Matty cash clearly won the ball was another piss poor decision that could've effected the outcome of the game,but fortunately didn't in the end. It's getting worse & that takes some doing after recent seasons. Good luck!!.... up the mighty Villa!!! 😊
Why are they using stills in this situation? A still you work with the right camera angle and a clear line. But they haven’t got ‘Hawkeye’ for every angle and incident on the pitch. Watch the video, realise it was an own goal and let the ref do his job. He loved being at the mighty Dean Court and witnessing rock and roll football.
I admit to being biased because I have been a good friend of Neil's for decades, but he just talks so much sense and his knowledge of the game and AFCB in particular is incredible. It would be great to have him on Back of the Net more regularly this season.

If we lose to West Ham might be a good thing. Concentrate on getting the new players up to speed without worrying about injuries in cup games. And I usually am all for a good cup run.
