tj in highschool played against some of the best teams in Alabama if not the best teams in Alabama. foley, fairhope, McGill-toolen. etc. this kid played running back, wide reciver, and quarterback all at the same time. he would run, catch, and throw. it was crazy.
I'd say the football played up around Birmingham with teams like Hoover and Vestavia is the best football in Alabama, but that doesn't take anything away from what we see in this video.
WOW. As a high schooler he had more control and balance than most NFL runningbacks ever will. Thats stuff you can't teach. The things he did on the field are improbable and incredible on any level, not just high school. Simply amazing. Off the charts.
2:08 is my favorite, to have that kind of vision and lateral quickness is simply amazing, especially when you put it with what he does in the other highlighhts
4:18 is the funniest ish Ive seen in awhile look at the last two defenders that go helplessly clashing into each other.....then #7 just keeps rolling like a rag doll lol
This is the future Heisman Trophy winner power, speed, shifty, Can catch the ball everything you look for in a back as we say RTR all day reppin Silas, Ala
I actually attend Daphne, And I'm always proud to say that TJ graduated from my school! I was a freshman when he was a senior and he was like a superstar in the halls haha. Football season always has the most tension between schools, Baldwin County boys don't play (Although there were a couple Mobile schools featured in this vid). We have the most school pride from August to December. But I'll be honest, our team has lost its spark since TJ left, even though the guys have so much potential!
(from wikipedia) "Yeldon attended Daphne High School in Daphne, Alabama. As a senior he rushed for 2,193 yards on 232 carries with 31 touchdowns and won the Alabama Mr. Football Award.[1]" I am not a stats expert, or familiar with the norm for prep school ball, but that sounds crazy good to me.
As a Florida fan I have to say this kid could possibly have a Reggie Bush type year this year. Unreal talent. Alabama is running back U. And O line U. and ball hawing D U. Damn you Bama and your dominance. I may not like you but I have to respect you.
He was playing 6a football in Alabama with is one of the top states for high school football. He also had over 1000 rushing yards his freshman season at Alabama but you probably think the SEC has small linemen to.
@Connor Green is right tho cause Trent Richardson played for escambia high ( the same high school that emmitt smith play for) in pensacola fl and of course just like tj and emmitt, dat dude was a beast.
He's hurdling defenders and running through tackles and breaking ankles and you guys saying it's due to blocking..The school is legit also . They appeared in 5 of the last 11 6A high school championship games winning 2. Give him his props
I wouldn't expect a 19 year old to be as fast and powerful as a 28 year old. Give him two more years of working out at Alabama and you will likely be saying different.
Actually these were some of the best defenses in Alabama that year. McGill, foley, auburn. All top 10 in the state in rushing yards allowed. So these defenses were not a "joke" it was TJ that made them look like fools.
Im pretty sure i know what we are talking about. Your statement made it seem like the only reason he looks so good is he is playing against smaller d-lineman. He ran all over SEC teams with the largest lineman in the country
he clearly says " if u playin against him, hes a monster". so he cant be playin with the best team if he is playin against them. Read the whole sentence correctly before you criticize. thanks.
why are all of you saying he stepped out of bounds, like yeah obviously they called it but that's not the point. Just look at him humiliate the defense that's what you should all be noticing
I can't stand how on every video they feel the need to put slow mo in whenever they think the player is making a good move. It ruins the flow of the clip and I feel makes it harder to evaluate someone when you can't see their moves in real time

i see you're a real football guy cause that's exactly what i was thinking watching these highlights. now i see why there was a difference between his freshman and sophmore seasons at bama.
age has nothing to do with eligibility in the draft. if a player attended school for 3 years they are eligible. redshirt sophomores and a true juniors are the minimum. Johnny football can enter next year because he will be a redshirt sophomore this upcoming season but it has nothing to do with age.
now go through that entire video watching some of the best blocking from a receiving core ive ever seen, especially #8.
I live near Foley highschool XD thats the football team he was playing against at 2:03 :)
When he play high school ball at daphne he kicked our asses(gulf shores)

He went to high school in alabama
WOW. As a high schooler he had more control and balance than most NFL runningbacks ever will. Thats stuff you can't teach. The things he did on the field are improbable and incredible on any level, not just high school. Simply amazing. Off the charts.
The way he moves his feet is hilarious!! Since the first time I ever saw him run it looked funny. Such a beast though
2:08 is my favorite, to have that kind of vision and lateral quickness is simply amazing, especially when you put it with what he does in the other highlighhts
Daphne High School, in Alabama
zeliatik49 yessir
TJ is a freaking beast and i'm glad we have him as a running back here at alabama....RMFTR!!!!!
this is crazy exactly what I expected to see from my boi TJ yeldon rolltide all day...
4:18 is the funniest ish Ive seen in awhile look at the last two defenders that go helplessly clashing into each other.....then #7 just keeps rolling like a rag doll lol

Not even my team's running back and this video got me pumped haha
goblue918 I live where he is from
Well short and simply DAMN!!!!!!!!
I WATCHED HIM PLAY IN HIGH SCHOOL
(from wikipedia) "Yeldon attended Daphne High School in Daphne, Alabama. As a senior he rushed for 2,193 yards on 232 carries with 31 touchdowns and won the Alabama Mr. Football Award.[1]" I am not a stats expert, or familiar with the norm for prep school ball, but that sounds crazy good to me.

he is like my lil bro he makes running the ball look easy
He's going to play on Sundays one day
Jakaris Garcia he already does
bust. still made it tho
0:14 move goes right with the beat . this dude is sick
This guy put his team on his back on winning the state championship against hoover 7-6 back in 2010
He's like a real life version of NCAA RTG
Roll tide
He was playing 6a football in Alabama with is one of the top states for high school football. He also had over 1000 rushing yards his freshman season at Alabama but you probably think the SEC has small linemen to.
Is this not Todd Gurleys highlight?!
Score every time and Alabama gets another great runner
Sick nice job
We shut em down in 2011 when he came to Prattville...it was a great game tho
@Connor Green is right tho cause Trent Richardson played for escambia high
( the same high school that emmitt smith play for) in pensacola fl and of course just like tj and emmitt, dat dude was a beast.

he seems a lot more lankier here than he is now in college.tall guy that needed more weight. he is around 220 now and still fast as hell too.
1:31 stepped out and ref didn't see. Strong RB great vision
That first play. wow
at 1:40 not dissing because he is a boss running back but that blocking is perfect all he had to do is run the last 30 yards
His O-line looks really good too
Give´em hell Bama !!!
I agree Connor Green
2:07 Wow! What a cut back on a dime...
yes it was, I'm just happy he plays for my team on saturdays.
Just needs to add a "Lacy" type spin-move to his tool box. I noticed just one in this entire clip.
I liked at 1:29 when he threw that guy out
They need to play my boy ten penny can't believe my nigga made it (NFL here we come I hope
1:31 he stepped out of bounds.
Ya he was. I thought I was the only one who saw that
Tj yeldon is the best
What state is this in
15taz151 Alabama
Your a damn fool for saying that his Freshmen year at Alabama over 1,100 yards. 12 TD's LMAO!
I wouldn't expect a 19 year old to be as fast and powerful as a 28 year old. Give him two more years of working out at Alabama and you will likely be saying different.
wats the song called
At one point he actually stepped out of bounds and ran for another like 15 yards. Just something I noticed.
I have, Shane
Song?
2:32 dayumm!
Actually these were some of the best defenses in Alabama that year. McGill, foley, auburn. All top 10 in the state in rushing yards allowed. So these defenses were not a "joke" it was TJ that made them look like fools.
song name?
How did Daphne ever loose a game?
no highlights vs prattville :-)
Im pretty sure i know what we are talking about. Your statement made it seem like the only reason he looks so good is he is playing against smaller d-lineman. He ran all over SEC teams with the largest lineman in the country
He reminds me a lot of Chris Brown (former Colorado Buffs and I think Tennessee Titans rb).
the ref called it. at 1:33 you can see the ref blowing the whistle
Fvck wat yall sayin t.j. yeldon on NCAA 14 is a monster if u playin against him wit da difficulty level all-american and heisman. Hes unstoppable
Picks the best team in the game... thinks he's good at NCAA
Alex Edwards lol
he clearly says " if u playin against him, hes a monster". so he cant be playin with the best team if he is playin against them. Read the whole sentence correctly before you criticize. thanks.
Honestly yeldon vision is amazing but his only problem is that he didn't get no bigger or faster
How tall is he?
TJ Fleeton
Out of bounds at 1:31 lmao
how do I get featured on pf? my highlight better than half of these 💯
www.hudl.com/athlete/2119673/highlights/302376458/v2
Lol
Boy you played DE and weren't even that good against some slack competition... that man is the NFL, 2nd round pick. 😂😂😂
why are all of you saying he stepped out of bounds, like yeah obviously they called it but that's not the point. Just look at him humiliate the defense that's what you should all be noticing
Heisman contender this upcoming season.
he stepped out at 1:29
He did step out and the play was whistled dead at that point.
That's not true you can leave before 3 depending on your age, for instance Johnny football is eligible for the draft after this upcoming season
u can tell this teams game plan was to give him the ball
he si good, but that school also had one hum-dinger of an Offensive line!!! Making holes big enough for a mac truck to run through!
He stepped out of bounds at 1:30
Yeah, you're right, it's only 3 years of enrollment in college. So if you red shirt, like Johnny did, you only need two years of playing time
Who is the QB...seems like he is pretty athletic also.
but hes still amazing
I can't stand how on every video they feel the need to put slow mo in whenever they think the player is making a good move. It ruins the flow of the clip and I feel makes it harder to evaluate someone when you can't see their moves in real time

While he does have some legit moves, I'm also seeing a hell of a lot of good blocking on these plays.
i see you're a real football guy cause that's exactly what i was thinking watching these highlights. now i see why there was a difference between his freshman and sophmore seasons at bama.
Not many of them were bad defense. Most all of the Mobile area schools have very good football teams
If this dude clean up his running form no one will get a finger on him.
2:16 o my goooooh
Yes, he did still a good play...
are u kiddng? him and peterson have completely different running styles
yea if u look at 1:33 or so u see the ref run back to it and signal out of bounds
body type yes similar but he doesnt have petersons speed or ferocity
it took a whole team to stop him...seems like thats still pretty good now dont it ?
1:30-1:32 out of bounds?
One word. Prattville.
He just looks way bigger than everybody on the field......
4:59 out of bounds......or nahhh!!
1:30 he stepped out
Can we please see the highlights of the prattville game....Oh wait, he got SHUTDOWN nevermind.
@2:32 guy gets broken off
Pretty sure every running back at alabama since shaun alexander was ridiculously good in high school haha
Good video but kind of a dumb title. I mean he signed with Alabama, so obviously he was pretty damn good in high school lol
wow
