      @@tigereye508 it's that time of year. Still hot and hurricanes on the way. They're working fast to get the cotton out of the fields and into the cotton gin. Hopefully I'll be able to catch some live action, either or, I'll have a video of the process. Thank you for watching and commenting on my video 🐯... It's very special to me

      @@IwannaArrowhead my friend in England had never seen it before and thought pecans grew underground, we can't have that🤣... I've never heard anyone say "Alabama snow" it's just something I've always said in my head, since before I can remember... The chemicals they spray now makes me nervous about living in the middle of all the fields... I'd rather live by cotton than hundreds of people 🤣... I believe I'm going to walk these fields this winter looking for arrowheads. I have a friend not far from here that finds them in his fields. I have fields at the end of my street and cows on the other end 😂.... loving the countryside

      @@AlabamaUSA1234 when they plow it churns the arrowheads up to the top of the ground. Let it rain after they plow and I bet you are going to be hooked on finding arrowheads. It’s a feeling you feel all the way to your soul when you find one. ✌️

      @@RockMyWorldKindaGirl Safety is always first for me. Out here in the country people tend to watch out for each other too... It was beautiful being in the fields.. it's cooler, but still really hot. There's another hurricane in the Gulf and that causes more than people realize, the power of it pulls the north winds and cool air down, and when that hits the hot humid air it creates tornadoes and lots of rain, but we're used to it. The news is turning everything into a soap opera nowadays. Thank you so much for watching and commenting on my video, it really means a lot to me.

      @@ROCKINWHEELERS We have festivals here (Alabama) celebrating pecans.
      Louisiana is the best. Look up: Colfax Louisiana Pecan Festival... I miss that so much. Zydeco music, live downtown, with everybody dancing in the street. It's a beautiful little town.. last time I saw my mother and father dancing together.

    I remember as a kid in school studying about the turn of the age unto machinery (Cotton Jin) and oh a song called? Cotton Fields Back Home, or to that effect?

      @@ROCKINWHEELERS it was a locally celebrated crop.. They don't even talk about it here anymore 😔
      It makes me feel like home. Just driving by, it's in my head "Alabama snow"..every year. The handpicked fields get much higher. I've seen it well over 6ft in Louisiana, it's beautiful..

    Sorry I didn’t see this earlier. I haven’t been on yt today. Good video. Looks like a pretty good crop, too. I think a video showing how it is harvested will be cool. It is a very interesting process from harvest to baling to transporting it.

      @@soul_adventurist it's changed so much since I was a kid. They used to gin it and work the cotton seed in several different places. It put out the best smell ever... Like fried chicken 🤣
      Huge hills of cotton seed. It's against the law to grow it without a license. They'd make a beautiful plant. The blooms tell you that it's a type of hibiscus... it's beautiful and then the seed pod pops and it's cotton. Maybe you could grow one next spring in your garden? I don't believe anyone would care that far north...

      @@AlabamaUSA1234 oh yeah, it does smell like fried chicken! I remember the cotton seed mill in Natchitoches always smelled so good! My dad used to go there and buy seed meal to mix in the cow feed. Even when we didn’t make a stop there, we would always talk about how good it smelled.

      My dad is from Colfax Louisiana and I live in Alexandria/Pineville for several years.. been doing New Orleans since I was a teenager and was always an absolute angel 😇 🙏 glad we didn't have the internet 🛜
      He does make me homesick though, just his tone and "I like it" I believe they already have the tshirts 😂
      I really like his channel too.. believe I'll link it to our conversation since I mentioned him.

To funny we must know each other from somewhere LOL been all the same places. . Yes thank god it wasn't out when you and I were out doing our thing. They would still be watching us laughing. You and I both know some they wouldn't even be able to show LOL. Yes I agree, that's ONE of the reasons I enjoy his & your channel makes me think of home w/ the accent. O'child dem da ya fo sho . .

      Our families have got to know each other, no way to hit that many names and no have eaten at the same table. We had a family business on Bolton Ave in Alexandria for years.. I've been told it's really bad nowadays since hurricane Katrina and the people that came out of the city. You know how territorial cajon people can be... Crime and destruction has divided it even more. Most of my friends have moved out of town... It's still not comparable to these other horrible cities nowadays. I believe everyone is suffering from it... 😔

      My dad was born in Louisiana and my mother is from Alabama.. I'm mixed 😂..thank goodness fo dat .

      @@drfill9210 it causes cancer and has been banned in most states here... There's actually a large class action law suit. I'm sure other states will follow, if the controlled media lets people actually know about it.
      I never used the stuff, my dad did years ago on the fence line around our land.
      It's strange how humans kill indiscriminately and make billions doing it. All along convincing people that it's harmless. I really don't like putting poison on anything, no matter what, it comes back around in the circle of death ☠️

      @AlabamaUSA1234 if it were endosulfin then I'd be worried. Zero has its issues, more with frog populations. In some places we still use DDT and its a good thing we do- mosquito control.
