    You should mount a GoPro on the small car and give a passenger seat view of the ride to see the dampening effects of the magnetic suspension much more easily.

    The concept is great. But the reason why it isn't used in automobiles is, that the magnets tends to lose their magnetic property if it's kept in the repulsive position for too long. So basically keeping the magnets this way only demagnetizes them. That's all. But the concept and your work is amazing. Keep up doing the good work man. 👌🏼

    Do you need the reasons why...I'll give ya
    1.imagine size of the magnets required to hold car up(the bigger the size the rare and expensive they are)
    2.assuming u have experience with a bigger neodymium magnets before if not...they are extremely brittle and cannot survive even mediacore impacts
    3.it should have a set of two at each wheel to function.thats eight gaint magnets in total.just campare their weight to the normal hydraulic spring shocks
    4.magnets of that size pose a threat when there is a metal nearby say the tools,junk, accessories etc and accumulation of metals and minerals from dirt and sand will be a pain in the A**..(imagine your car sticks to another one in a parking lot😂)
    5.the magnetic field will rather quickly die out cause it always doing work of keeping the car up with its repulsion
    6.the electro magnetic one would be a better solution but condering the power it demands for the operation is stupid while there are cheap and efficient mechanical alternatives
    7.they are not easily adjustable,the performance can be effected by high temperatures,the cylinder needs to be a vaccum or it Should be non air tight to eliminate air resistance and unnecessary heating of the cylinder,if it's not air tight the maintenance would again would be a pain because of the presence of two monstrous magnets in them which only attracts junk, the list goes on but the point is it was never a good idea 😂, except...your project thing you did,cool one though👍
    And also just an "FYI"
    ferro fluid suspension are popular in automotive world.where the viscosity of the fluid is set to meet the required conditions with the help of electromagnet
    I appreciate your work and the effort you put into reading all this😂cause holy shit it was long✌

      Wow fantastic explanation friend, I loved the point 4. By the you have a great knowledge about magnets. I really thank you for taking time to write this. :)

    • @WaelElkassem
      @WaelElkassem 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Now all your points are true but in reality magnetic suspension is being used but it works in a different way it has an electro magnet and a fluid containing magnetic particles so it works like a hydraulic shock absorber the electromagnet is not as strong because a strong force is not need it now what makes it different is that when you turn on the magnetic suspension it starts attracting the fluid to the pores and therefore slowing and giving more resistance to the shock so its very adjustable by varying voltage

    Shock absorbers would be giant if used in vehicles because to sustain a huge weight of vehicle big magnets would be required therefore they will significantly increase the size of shock absorbers compared to those used now a days...
    Also other metallic objects on the road will be stuck to the mechanism like manhole covers etc. Could cause accidents due to a sudden stop of the vehicle if stuck to a stubborn metallic object on the road.... And there are lots of other cons due to which they are not used.

    I love the video, make another car but with a lower center of gravity and make each suspension/wheel independent of the others. And maybe use a little stronger magnets so its way more dramatic, more visual, and then totally do slow motion... but I love the video, it's cool tho, I had this idea, but much more basic and less thought out when I was a little kid. Makes me wish I could retrieve ideas I had as a kid so I could make the things I thought of when my imagination hadn't been contaminated yet... let's see a PART 2 for sure, please...

    • @davinderbhullar6508
      @davinderbhullar6508 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jabran Malik electromagnet use currnent,
      For High repulsion the requirmnt of current is also more....
      In order to make powerfull shockabsorber we need regular,supply of current.okay
      In vehcils like cars we have to produce currnt to make shockabsorber in work
      When the vehcile is off, the source of emf is only battery and by passage of time the get discgarge....and body of vehcil lay down...
      If we are using compressible shock absorber ,we dont need any energy to get reaction .
      Hope its clear now..

    There are many reasons why magnets are not used as shock absorber but the Main reason is that there is no loss of enery in magnetic system, the enery from every bump on road gets transfer from one point to other .
    While in spring shock absorber the spring itself absorb max. amount of energy.

  • @PlackOutChile

    I really liked your idea, I would only add a damping system, since using only magnets, the car will oscillate in an underdamp and would be dangerous for stability.

    • @A2CArtsAndCrafts

    • @chetanvelonde781
      @chetanvelonde781 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A2C Arts And Crafts yes..theu r expensive little bit...just bcoz they require their own unit which may include various sensors and its circuitry...and reason behind sensors is that it would sense the road conditions and adapt the suspension to the road accordingly....bcoz its all matter of seconds ....to analyze...then calculate..then perform the task....but in future it will be viable
