I'm an old Englishman, life long supporter of Newcastle United. I started watching the Donk just because I was bored one day and found some Arsenal Women's games on You Tube. I've followed football since i was a very young boy, well over 60 years now. This girl puts I bet, over 98% of the men and women I've watched play, to shame. She is an absolute terrier, wherever the ball is you can bet she is in the near vicinity tracking back to help out the defence, up in the attack or patrolling midfield. I won't talk about the special Donk assist plays but unless she is actually hurt, she has that cheeky little smile on her face and I just have to laugh along with her. She can teach a hell of a lot of men players as well how to compete, I'd have her on any team I supported that is for absolute sure. Good thing she plays for Arsenal Women so I can support her and still despise the Gunners men's team or any other London team, which as a a Geordie is part of my birth-rite. Also, I think she's just a little bit crazy which makes me love her even more, the woman is a winner.
I chanced upon this comment while watching this video for perhaps the 100th time (I am, unabashedly, an Arsenal and DvD fan), and concur with every word of it. I started watching women's football after Arsenal won the WSL last season, which was followed by the WWC. Now I don't miss any Arsenal WFC match unless it's not streamed anywhere. And I find Van de Donk to be an outstanding footballer, but extremely underrated. Her energy drives both Netherlands and Arsenal. Right now, she's injured, and I hope she recovers and resumes her artistry on the football ground soon.

The Dutch women are like the Dutch men over the years--a joy to watch. Came 2nd in the World Cup after winning the Euro championship: nobody plays a better brand of football. Miedema and Martens are genuine stars---but Van de Donk and Groenen are the real engines of this team in the midfield.

Damn I gotta weigh in on dis after seeing some clips of this charismatic footballer. Her burst of speed (Messi); ball control; pin point passing; does tricks with the ball like Messi is breathtaking!! Just a sweetheart and a dynamic player ☝️🎖❤ 🇨🇦

Yah if you look at it, their semi match was excruciating and played in the final only on two days rest !! If the game was under diff circumstances, the mighty Dutch would've been victorious...let's face it fatigue was a negating factor and dutch team is better tactically and individually !!
