I personally think this is one of the better games for the Gameboy
How much you wanna bet while Mario is giving the peace sign, the other hand is holding a gun at DK and him saying "Smile at the camera."
That's the good ol' Mario, no hard feelings at the end...

The final boss fight on here has always reminded me of the final boss fight on Super Mario World.
Never got a chance to see this ending. Some kid stole my game before I could beat it.

This version is kindergarden and it doesn't feel like a mario for so many reasons.
Yes, it doesn't feel like Mario Bros and Mario as we know him nowadays, as it's extremly faithful to Mario's origin in the arcades and expands that concept. Also the first Mario vs. Donkey Kong on the GBA does. In fact, it feels more like Mario than ever.
And why exactly is it kindergarden? Have you actually played it?
