Mentioned already me thinks… BUT. Those heatsinks look kinda close, collectors touching may not be fun ? I was also waiting for you to give the classic tip. “Always screw down the TO3 package “before” soldering the pins” 👍🏻
The story time was relaxing and entertainig... is it a technique to avoid viewers skipping the soldering part? 😂 Btw, be careful with those heatsink fins, they are at different voltages as they are connected directly to the collector of the transistor they belong to, and they seem they could touch easily.
In relation to your comments about microphone choice for TH-cam. I used to record orchestras and choirs. Today, with the availability of low cost microphones, there is no reason to have bad audio on a channel. I can (sort of) cope with a channel that has less than ideal video. But if the audio is flaky, I 'll stop watching and never come back. The lack of bass in your microphone is an advantage for youtube, so don't lament the lack of it on this mic.
@@IMSAIGuy story time. That’s an Ellis Island thing. Not related to any actual Carusos. Well, a tiny number but you will never meet another in any likelihood. :-)
The chinese power transistors aren't marked because they are made to order: Part number is printed to match customer order. Somehow you got them before that last step.
You're getting the same calls on the w/c as we over on the e/c. How do they know. Get the one about your vehicle warr. timing out? It's a good idea to check the components on those kits first before assembly. Have found defective transistors or wrong ones. Suggestion, add a cooling fan to output transistor section. Thanks for the look.
I'm 47 year Old :)Love your channel and Electronic.I find that you are a very genuine Person.Regards Antonio
Thanks for the story, I love hearing our folklore.
Young people don't ask questions because they already know it all.

you are right. Guess I screw them down first with out thinking now. be there, done that
It's fun to see and hear drilling holes when soud isn't synchronized to video.
Is it my system or everyone hav that?
Next time I'll use the drill to make big holes small.
The heatsinks on Q12 and Q14 look as if they're touching, so expecting sparks and/or magic smoke in part 2... :-)
I'm a bit late here obviously but just wanted to chime in at 73 years old
I hope I make it that long. thanks for being a viewer
I LOVE THE NATIVE STORY THANKS THAT MADE ME SMILE @IMSAI Guy
will be better first to assembling the internal then the external power transistor?
Better put fuses in line with the speakers. There is no protection circuit. Plus and negative rails for power.
potential future experiment: Replace R7 with a current source and measure the THD difference. Maybe use a Wilson current mirror...
At least those resistors aren’t those bloody blue bodied ones!

Maybe I'll do a soldering video with no sound. I'll see what my view rate is....

The piece of paper with writing on it were just a kid's homework(Chinese).
Great story- time for you to sell it on Audible. Nice amp too...
Now I have that Harry Belafonte version of Woman Smarter stuck in my head.
Now I have Enrico Caruso stuck in mine

Similar to Taco Bell. All the same 3 ingredients until you order the shape you want
hmm no degeneration on the output transistors
"let´s get it onto a tray" reference to steve1989MREinfo :D
the power transistor the luck like 2N3055
It sounded nothing like me. :)
Glad to know it wasn't you 😀
