I like the proactive approach and the thought behind it, but when it comes to "carbon" and such it's essentially useless, habitat wise it's great though, it'll give animals more space to live and it gets people thinking about the environment.

I remember first seeing Sudowoodo and thinking it's a grass type, before I realised it's Rock typing, its was already too late lmao. Got swept by a tree that's actually weak to watering cans. Best experience I ever had in the Battle Frontier.
Sudowoodo needs a new regional form that looks absolutely identical, but is actually a grass type, with physical and special stats swapped vs. standard. It will now be a true fake tree/ fake rock, and opponents will not know which one it is, and how to appropriately check it.
i like it, although not changing it at all i don't think would work. what if you gave it a grass type regional that does look significantly more tree-like, but give Sudowoodo a version of mimikyu's disguise that disguises it as the grass variant until it takes a hit.
Hidden abilities had such high potential for Sudowoodo... He could've gotten Sap Sipper as a Rock Type!!! It would lore-wise make sense that his "dream ability" would make him immune and even stronger by the typing that he longs to be :'(

I think a proper third evolution would do Sudowoodo's line a lot of good. A larger body with tree trunk 'cannon' arms, improved defenses and attack, with a Rock/Grass typing (to reflect the fact that he's turned into petrified wood). Call it something like 'Petreefied'.
There was actually a really cool doubles Shedinja strat that revolved around Sudowoodo. Sturdy Sudowoodo holding a custap berry would come out first with an entrainment pokemon. First turn the partner pokemon would use entrainment, and Sudowoodo would copy it with mimic. Second turn the entrainment pokemon would swap out for Shedinja, and Sudowoodo would use entrainment on it. With any luck Sudowoodo would take enough damage the first turn to activate custap berry and would get a priority entrainment, it was a really slick way of getting sturdy on Shedinja.
Awesome! I really, really liked Sudowoodo as a kid...but it was the first Pokemon I retired from my team in Silver. Even Raticate and GRAVELLER (now that I think about it) lasted longer in my team as a kid.
Question: In the video at around 1:30 why was sudowoodoo's strategy to beat snorlax to explode rather than use Low Kick? Surely low kick would be better?
Ah, thanks for the replies, I checked and you're both right: 1.) Low kick in gen 2 was fixed at only base 50 2.) Explosion was effectively base 500 since it was 250 base but also halved the enemy defenses upon calculation.
Sudowoodo may be bad competitively, but it carried me through my pokemon insurgence run (which is a great, really hard pokemon fangame with level caps). I didn't originally intend to take it with me the entire game, but with sturdy, counter, and sucker punch, it let me kill so many bosses and legendaries across the course of the game. Groudon, Rayquaza, armored Kyurem-white, Giratina, and many more all bowed down before the might of my underleveled fake tree. Sudowoodo proved it belonged when my other pokemon faltered, and it ultimately stayed as one of my final six pokemon that I beat the game with. It was wonderful. I will never forget your contribution to this run, may you be blessed with a buff in a future generation.
I know people give this month grief for not being a grass type, but sudowoodo name I think means, fake wood. And camouflaging into a tree to hid from predators is pretty smart in my opinion.
How about to end off the decade we cover all the past pokemon until now and see how they're doing in SwSh? I mean, the first pokemon covered came out before SuMo released.

If PU is supposed to be the "lowest" tier but excludes several dozen Pokemon then its definitely not the lowest tier and new ones should be made under it... Maybe just call them PU1, PU2, or even PU3 if necessary.
So Gen 7 is ending soon and the early videos didn’t cover gen 7 performance. It will be nice to make some videos to supplement the Gen 7 performance of pokemons introduced in early videos like charizard, salamence, gengar and garchomp.
Sudowoodo will get regional variant and an evolution if they ever do a region based on a country/location that has forests. Such as some countries in Africa, Brazil and other Amazon countries, and possibly even places like some areas in Canada.
Ahh Sudowoodo. My favorite partner on my first and future replays of HeartGold. Sure he isn't "good" but as someone who doesn't play competitive he's super good. Plus a rock type getting a grass move was just fun

I remember playing Pokemon crystal and that sudowoodo blocking the way. For some reason it was stupidly strong against my team and didn´t want to get captured. And then when he was in my team , it was so bad against anything that i only used it to give time to my other pokemons to heal. However, i was young, naive and dumb, i used to just use moves that deal damage and didn´t care about proper training, just hoping that the RNG favored me.

For starters, it freaks out when it's watered with a Squirt Bottle or a Wailmer Pail.

I'd say because Explosion is a base 500 power because it halves defenses rather than low kicks base 240 (120 max)

There's a Never Used tier which is NU so Zero Used would just be a repeat. I think NU is before PU but I think untiered is fine.
