Two things: 1) The fact that you drew the eyelashes on your math diagrams figuring out proportions sent me. 2) both me and my boyfriend audibly gasped when the good scissors were broken
Happy to hear that William Osman noticed your diabolical achievement! You have a delightful sense of humor and great skills with editing. I have a lot of respect for what went in to making something like this. Great work!
Holy shit!!!!! Yes!!!!! I love how this turned out and getting to see your process was amazing. I would bet on you in any kind of wild crafting competition!! 🎉❤
Oh my gawd! This is the most beautiful costume ive ever seen! 😍😍 I am in love! I would love to try to make my own furby costume but i fear it wont look as fabulous as this ! 💖😍
SHES SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I saw your furby in SwellEntertainment's OpenSauce B-roll and I RAN to see who made this incredible creation. I must say, i was not disappointed! Your energy is so amazing and positive, and your creativity knows no bounds.
Thank you so much for this video! I made one this week for an autistic child who saw a pic of yours and demanded she have one for her costume. She has very specific ideas and does not easily understand when reality can’t match her visions. She wanted a costume like yours but purple and pink. Just finished today thanks to the help of your tutorial, I can’t wait to see her in it!
Just created a channel so I could comment. I am in AWE. You are not only so talented and hilarious but how resourceful and innovative and tenacious! Obsessed.
I saw your reel of this costume on instagram and haven't stopped thinking about it since, I still have two classic 1998 furbies in my apartment and they're some of my most precious decorative items
I'm completely obsessed and have been since it first debuted! I'm in the process of making one for halloween (but really just because I want to do this as a project tbh) and I was wondering if you had the measurements for the faceplate and nose or if you had to just kind of wing it there?
I traced my eyes on paper (7.5inches wide), came up with the forehead sensor and mouth size, and really just drew around them to my liking, with the nose pretty much last 😃
I'm so inspired and in love with this! I want to make one, do you think it'd be possible to make arm holes? or is it too wide for them to be functional?
Love how it turned out!! I’m in the process of making one for Halloween and wondering how or what you did to hold it from the inside while wearing it? Did you do handles? Shoulder straps? I’ve tried shoulder straps but they keep breaking off because mine is a little too top heavy and I’m not sure what else to try. Any advice would be super appreciated!! 🙏🏻
I would just balance it on top of my head. You can use cardboard to create a little helmet and glue it inside so it stays in place. But yeahhh this is not very practical to be worn for extended periods of time! let me know if you have any other questions, I am more than happy to help
Omg in love with this! I'm guessing you see out of the black mesh bit on the forehead? My question is how does it actually stay situated on you -- is it balancing on your head? Are you holding it up while it's on you?
I actually cut up an old pair of black leggings for the the forehead sensor! You can see right through it but you can’t totally see in. At this point, Fay has added some handles on the inside, but the whole thing is pretty light and you’re right it does pretty much just balance on your head and you kinda have to hold it in place 😅
I work full time so construction took me about 5 months. Would have been a lot shorter with a simpler fur. Please go for it and tag me when you’re done so I can see!!!! 💖💖💖
@@JessicaCrafternoon OMG I wish I saw this comment thread before I planned a costume picnic just so I can wander about a state park with a tinsel furby costume 😅 I thought 4 weeks would be enough but with constant trial-and-error and how long it takes me to put together a tinsel part, I'm not sure I can meet my timeline hahahaha. I'm still determined to finish my tinsel furb before the summer is over and it starts raining again. This tinsel furby idea is freaking amazing!
@@christinem1458 thought for ya- just use the tinsel as an accent like on top of the head and behind the ears, on the tail and stomach and do the rest in a really nice fabric?
The whole thing is surprisingly lightweight. Honestly I meant to get handles in there but ran out of time. For the time being it’s just held up by the wearer’s arms and it’s not terribly uncomfortable for it to rest on the wearer’s head. I hope to figure out something better though
@@JessicaCrafternoon Thank you! I wanted to start off with some sense of scale/proportions. Your Furby seems like the perfect size! Like it didn’t turn out too tall or too squat compared to the proportions of the toy version. ✨🧡🩷✨
@@victoriacervantes9239 awesome to hear!!! 💞What I did initially was find the measurements of the 1999 first online and scaled it up so the costume would just show my legs
God the way the tinsel flows and shimmers in the wind- magical ✨
Tinsel Furby is beyond amazing.
Omg my immediate reaction was to ask how you were going to ship it, but glad you went over it 😆 this is so cool!!!!
it was such a headache to figure it it out 😂

Now I want to make something like that myself!
It was great to see this Furby in person at Open Sauce Live! :)

Very surreal to see in person. It’s so big. That’s what she said.

Omg exciting!! I just bought an actual furby, they are so cute to have around :)
And now I’m tempted to put other projects on hold to make my own Furby costume, it use crocheted fabric instead of tinsel 🤔
PLEASE do that and PLEASE tag me if and when you do!
I definitely want to see that!!
Here from Willie's video on OpenSauce. This is the TH-cam energy I crave. Subscribed!

halloween costume unlocked, thank you so much for this detailed tutorial!!

I would definitely do it! Not a ton of functionality but my denim furby costume had arm holes
thank you!!

We're popping off this Halloween 💅💅
BIG FURBY! Nice meeting you today!
You too!
I AM MAKING THIS FOR HALLOWEEN AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME!
YES please do!! start now so you can do it slowly instead of rushing hahaha
I love this so much! What size foam balls did you use? The 8 inch?
I am pretty sure these are 7 or 7.5. I have bought 8 inch flat back styrofoam balls for my next one that look great!
Incredible work! I’m trying to do one for Halloween! Really struggling with scale. Do you know roughly how big you made the irises of the eye?
on an 8 inch diamater eye, the iris is 5.5 inches across and the pupil is 1.75 inches across
the one in this video is a 7 inch eye
Awesome! Thanks so much!
How many months did you spend by making this furby costume?!? I'M AMAZED!! I LOVE IT! I want to try and replicate it with your full permission! ❤❤❤

The world is a better place because of Tinsel Furby 🤩
I'm gonna try this ❤ thanks!!! Can in time perfect for Halloween
good luck!!
Saw this at LiB!!!!
Is the body a single layer of cardboard all around, or is it double layered?
pretty much single layered, but taped thoroughly on both sides. although there are a few layers of cardboard up top when creating the curve
RIP to the good scissors 😭
very cool!
thank u mr Jonas love ur music
Just found you on instagram, amazing stuff! Haha really good! 😀
My family: Tinsel furby isn’t real. It can’t hurt you
Tinsel furby: 👁️ 👁️

Tinsel furby is watching
Does the furby costume just rest on your head as you’re wearing it?
@@goldfish1871 for this one: yep. Nowadays, I create a helmet shaped basket and tape it in there to keep it in one spot a little better
Ok….this is AMAZING! How many curtains of tinsel did you need?
Fairly sure it was less than $40 worth. I had to keep buying more but then had tons left over at the end haha
Where did you end up buying the tinsel?
just the regular old bezos machine
That's going to enter in the masked singer season 10
That would be amazing!!

hi!! you're amazing!! what size eyeballs--8" or 10" diameter?
Hi Katybeth! I think these were 7inches. I’ll check
7.5!
Do you happen to remember the circumferences of either of your Furbys? Lol
This one has a circumference of about 90 inches around the belly
