I purchase my first pair on a whim because it was on sale. On one of my purchases, they shipped me the wrong shoes. When I contacted customer service, they simply told me they will re-ship out a new shipment on express shipping, and all of this at no cost to me. They also said that with the wrong shoes that I received, I can simply, “keep them, ship them back, or donate them”. This is why I will continue to purchase crocs in the future, because of the excellent customer service (and lightweight shoes).
In some cases the knockoffs were actually around first... like here in Jamaica where they did not appear until around 2003 but we had Chinese versions being sold since 1985
I never thought they were that ugly. And I never stopped wearing them. They are just so practical. They mold to your feet and I have foot problems so its great. They don't give blisters. They dry fast. They are easy to clean. I adore them.

I'm a chef and used to wear the Walmart non slip shoes because they were "cool". After 2 years in the business I no longer cared and my feet were starting to hurt. I've had Culinary instructors and chefs tell me, "the most important thing you invest in isn't good knives at first, it's good shoes.. and I wear crocs." So i caved in and bought a pair. Now 8 years later with crocs, I've never complained ONCE. I'll be buying them forever! They usually last 1 year and it's mostly due to the tread wearing out. Everyone slips in the dish pit, on the fryer oil, down the stairs etc. But not me... thanks to crocs. After a long service of making a mess, I just toss em in the dishwasher and they are back to new

I wore a pair of Crocs as a bartender back in 2006. Super comfy. At the end of the night, I hosed em off, good as new. Enlisted in the Army, wore them in Iraq in 2011. Still wearing the same pair today as a volunteer for a small animal shelter, walking the doggos who are waiting for their furever homes. I honestly don't know what it would take to wear out a pair of these things!
Alot of people wear them where I live... especially all the older kids and teens... smh but not me I'm a grown up and just can't get myself to put my foot in a pair haha no way actually! Now I'll do socks and slides😁

So now I have 3 pair Crocs after trying a “faux” pair i bought on vacay. We all have jibbitz too. I bought jeweled bling charms for my daughter for Christmas and new Crocs. She loves them. I got myself some too lol. Toddlers like Crocs too. The fake Crocs don’t feel as comfortable as real Crocs brand.
I may be in the minority, but I love crocs. They're comfortable, easy to slip on and off; and come in a bunch of different colors. I have to get me some more, dog chewed up the last pair I had.

@@firethylacine1976 That's just my experience with regular heely's, you know, with laces that can adjust the tightness of the shoe so you don't roll your ankle. With crocs it would be a nightmare unless you glued your feet in or just never had to turn. If you're trying to look good, you want to have more control. I suppose with crocs you already throw looking good out the window.

I made fun of these shoes for years then someone gave me a pair to try. It is liking walking on air and has helped me with some back injuries I have. I wear them regularly now.
j Noah I have multiple discs damaged from sports which eventually required some surgeries. The soft crocs have helped alleviate the impact on my spine.
Yeah , I used to talk down on them too until I found out they made regular looking shoes. I went to my nearest outlet and picked-up a pair of their slip on shoes and a pair of Chukka boots with the triple Crocs comfort and have been a fan ever since.
These where huuuuuuuge in healthcare for awhile but then after six months of 8-12-16hr days I started noticing severe back pain. I consulted a doctor i met in the break room and after poking and squeezing my back he looked down and told me in no uncertain terms to stop wearing those crocs. It was years ago and can't remember how he termed it but basically they provide no support and it's like walking miles a day with no shoes on. After giving them up I noticed the back pain started to decrease then one day noticed it was gone entirely. Mine are pretty old but in excellent shape! I went all out and bought the ones with the removable shag insert. After watching this I dug them out and noticed mine stated "made in bolder Colorado"👍🏿 Needless to say I will keep these until I die since this country doesn't manufacture anything anymore and they now have a nostalgia element to them. You rarely see these in healthcare now ,I work in Massachusetts and for various other reasons then the one I stated these fell off the map but then they were made for boating....who knew.

Now, I see them all over my university campus, so i def agree with you. If they had a clever twitter/ SM team like wendys, for example, they could connect with people ages 18-23ish who saw them and maybe even owned pairs of crocs 12ish years ago who are now still interested in the brand
I feel like this video would do even better being released now in 2021, They’ve reached even higher peaks this year. Now there aren’t many people who don’t own a pair, they’re like iPhones. And there definitely isn’t a single kid under 18 that doesn’t have some. Go to any elementary, middle, or high school in the country and be witness to a croc warehouse.

I have a pair of crocs that I've used for a while, and I love them. They're terrible everyday shoes (especially since I wore some holes in them after walking over gravel and whatnot a few dozen/hundred times too many), but they work pretty well as both sandals and slippers. (Not great for keeping feet warm, but I have socks for those.) I wouldn't wear them all day every day, but I have enough uses for them that I'll probably buy another pair once I decide my current pair is trash.
Yeah, I figure if you want somethign as convenient as a flip-flop for certain tasks but way more versatile and useful, Crocs are where it's at. leaving the strap up, they're perfect for running garbage out to the dumpster or taking the dog for a quick walk. flip it down for more security while you do yardwork/gardening. They're not that socially stigmatizing to wear so long as you wear them in a strictly "these shoes are serving a practical purpose" capacity.
I really want you to talk about LPS (Littlest Pet Shop). They were such a big deal in mid-late 2000s. I know for a fact they were gigantic in Europe, because I live here, specifically in Poland. Everybody knows about them and I'm pretty sure every girl around my age used to collect them or have at least some of them. Now they're going for a lot of money. Right now, because Hasbro changed their look around 2012, everybody stopped buying them and now they tried to make the hype as big as it was before with releasing similar looking figurines as before, but it didn't really work out well. Some people, even today, are willing to pay a lot for some of these, sometimes because they are desirable because of looks only and not actual rarity (this includes 5 specific shapes of pets that became popular through TH-cam series where these starred in), sometimes it is because of small quantities released and sometimes because some pets are mysterious, by that I mean these pets were never seen in packaging and pretty much nobody knows where they came from, some of these were featured in toy fairs, advertisements and some of them were somehow aquired by sellers on chinese websites such as Taobao. Sometimes these pets are prototypes of arleady existing ones. Some pets can be worth a lot because they were country or continent exclusive, sometimes because they were bonus figures to existing pets, sometimes both (bonus pets that are country exclusives), sometimes because they are rare variants of existing pets that also came out of knowhere. The market for them is kinda hidden and not a lot of people even know that people can still buy them and pay A LOT for them, which I find fascinating. People sometimes dont even realise how rare the pets they owned as a child could be worth right know. Even though the market for them isn't very big, it still exists. I really got carried away
My husband and I both have them - they’re specifically used for walking in our garden/yard and can get dirty and clean up very easily. Mine are fluorescent green which I think is much more fashionable 😉
In Brazil they retail at BRL120 to BRL260! To put in perspective that ranges between 11% to 24% of the minimum monthly wage of a Brazilian worker. It is classy? No! Also very few people use them outdoors, specially because they are friggin’ hot to our weather. My kids love their CROCS, but they don’t hit big on adults around here. Of course some rich kids shows their off, but I don’t recall seeing the Funkeiros down here wearing them, and boy, they like flashy!

Yes, they are ugly AF but comfortable if you have to stand for long times. They are easy to take on and off and, because I teach sewing (no real sewer sews with shoes on), I can kick one off in a moment and slip it back on when I have to walk around.
In 2008 or so I was a wee lad and refused to wear anything expect for checkered vans and crocs. I treated the Crocs like a friend(imaginary friend sorta thing). My dear friend betrayed me after it made me trip over a hose and skin my knee quite badly. I remember sitting in the tub forever waiting for the bleeding to stop. In weeks following I was reduced to a limp for a good month. After that I wished farewell to my dear friend, the basic red Crocs. I believe their falls in sales are clearly from me abandoning my pair of Crocs.
I think if Crocs specialized into practical purposes they'd go a long way. I can see a slip resistant shoe that is pleasant to walk in be very popular among those who work in the restaurant industry. Get rid of the styleized holes in it and make them sealed up and yeah I can see it being a brand used by all kinds of restaurant staff from your 5 star sous chef to your burger flipper at a fast food chain.
Definitely, their specialty is comfort and practicality. Not style. They need to buckle down on occupational and hobby foot wear like a fully covered steel cap boot option for Kitchen, factory, butchers, bakers, fishermen, gardeners etc. And then a slightly more stylized range for nurses, doctors, supermarket workers, servers, bar staff etc. They could make a lot of money in uniformed industries, working in a factory now I wish my gumboots had the comfort of crocs. And work places like mine that supply footwear buy hundreds of pairs at a time, it's a big market. And oh I wish there were more slip resistant, covered and waterproof shoes that were comfy from my bar days, the amount of times I had walked on wet, glass covered floors, drinks be spilled on me, and just the long hours. I couldn't tell you how many pairs of even Doc Martins I went through in the time I did bar and supermarket work. And Docs where i live come in at $200-$300 a pair.
I have tried the cheaper generics, they go flat in like 3 months. Where with the real Crocs the sole gets too slick. So now I buy the models with a dedicated sole.

When i was a little kid my crocs were my favorite pair of shoes. I wore them everywhere and i still think they are the best shoes when you go to the beach or a river/lake so you dont step on any sharp rocks but can still swim! They are also good for waterparks because of the hot cement!
That's the opposite for me, I had a girlfriend, but then once I bought my first pair of Crocs and started wearing them, I became single again. But for a completely unrelated reason as she's cheated on me.
I love Crocs! My dad bought me a pair for my 30th birthday back in Aug of 2008. They were perfect for exactly what you said, boating at his lake condo. I immediately discovered how comfortable they were. I wear them in the house mostly, but occasionally wear them to make a fashion statement at Walmart along with socks. (I intentionally do wear Crocs with socks because my kids tell me it’s a major fashion faux pas). To this day, those same Crocs from 2008 still adorn my feet and are still in excellent condition and I wear them everyday after I get home from work! Perhaps part of the problem is that Crocs needs to implement more planned obsolescence. I would’ve purchased a new pair had they only fallen apart. Crocs took off during the winter of 2019. I remember seeing ppl wearing them during the winter and couldn't understand why they would wear them that time if the year. I have been wearing crocs fur lined suede clogs for years. They are 🔥 and very underrated.
I LOVE CROCS!!!! Been wearing them for years. My chiropractor even approves of me wearing them but he does keep watch of the wear on the tread. I have about 20 pair and looking for more. Always buy the classic and I mix and match the colors to match what I’m wearing. Lovin’ all the new prints. They are all I wear in warm weather.

I've never owned a pair, but then I don't hang out by the water or on boats much. I had the opinion that they were a cheap kids shoe that grownups adopted as an alternative to flip-flops. I didn't know they were actually designed for a purpose. I do wear sandals when I'm not wearing work boots and some of the non-croc crocs looked pretty decent. I might check them out next time I need a pair of casual shoes.
I use them for kayaking. I used to use flip flops but they kept getting stuck in the mud and i lost a few. The crocks with the canvas top and canvas strap have performed really well and have never slipped off my foot in mud even when i was hip deep in sucking mud.
Watching this video wearing my corcs. They great "house slippers" even during the winter. Also keep a pair at work for when I shower. I otta say though, they are durable. I have had em for at least 7 years lol. (Same pair)
I love my Crocs. Really comfy casual shoes. My original slip ons are great for outside messy chores. Modern wooden clogs like the Dutch wore in for their muddy chores.
I used to have a pair of Crocs. I loved them. They were great for locker rooms and such because they were more comfortable than a flip flop but could get wet and come on and off quickly. I have ugg Chelsea boots and honestly they're excellent. They don't look like ugg boots with the fur, you can't tell they're uggs, but they are really comfy and hardwearing

I’ve owned both name brand crocs and Walmart brand crocs and I’ve always found name brand to be of higher quality. They just feel better and the material is much better than the Walmart brand ones, they don’t look and feel like they’re always about to fall apart like the Walmart ones do

Brand New crocs have such a good smell, and they are really reliable and there are many colours, so you can use them in many situations, black for interviws/job meetings, yellow for normal events, blue for hanging out in peace at home etc
I wear Crocs because I have wide feet and stand for a long time at my job sometimes. Crocs allow my feet to spread and I can stand for a long time without my feet hurting. If I do that with sneakers, my feet will hurt. Also, Crocs are just easy to wear. And I also wear my Crocs year round, even when it's freezing outside.

Used to work for Crocs retail. It was an awful experience, and I say that working from 2010-2014. I would constantly get questions about the future of the company, and I'm kinda surprised CM didn't mention their partnership with Blackstone sometime in 2013 (been a minute). Also, Crocs, unless you buy certain styles, are not slip resistant. Back at college, I can't tell you how many times I almost slipped and died wearing this things to walk to the dining hall.
A year after this video and I've found they're on a surprising turn upward, which is weird because a lot of people still consider them ugly, tacky, and a fad. I honestly think they're pretty tacky, too, and I can't even wear them because my feet are too narrow and I don't like showing my feet either. I lived in Florida as a kid and these were perfect for walking down the street to the beach. Flip flops can be kinda annoying especially when that toe thing snaps off but even if the strap in the back broke crocs always fit. They were sturdy enough to walk down the street on concrete, and they were waterproof for the beach while still breathable so they dried quicker than a water shoe

Yeah I got those knock offs for $5.5 in my country and looked up in amazon.com and it was like $20.
In my country the knockoffs are being sold at less than $4. Not as comfortable but the looks are almost identical.
Hurt them in the kid market for sure. Kids rarely wear shoes for more than a year. A $5 pair of knock-offs will usually last them that long.

With crocs it would be a nightmare unless you glued your feet in or just never had to turn. If you're trying to look good, you want to have more control. These where huuuuuuuge in healthcare for awhile but then after six months of 8-12-16hr days I started noticing severe back pain.
I consulted a doctor i met in the break room and after poking and squeezing my back he looked down and told me in no uncertain terms to stop wearing those crocs.
It was years ago and can't remember how he termed it but basically they provide no support and it's like walking miles a day with no shoes on.
After giving them up I noticed the back pain started to decrease then one day noticed it was gone entirely.
Mine are pretty old but in excellent shape!
I went all out and bought the ones with the removable shag insert.
After watching this I dug them out and noticed mine stated "made in bolder Colorado"👍🏿
Needless to say I will keep these until I die since this country doesn't manufacture anything anymore and they now have a nostalgia element to them.
You rarely see these in healthcare now ,I work in Massachusetts and for various other reasons then the one I stated these fell off the map but then they were made for boating....who knew.

I have a pair of crocs that I've used for a while, and I love them. They're terrible everyday shoes (especially since I wore some holes in them after walking over gravel and whatnot a few dozen/hundred times too many), but they work pretty well as both sandals and slippers. (Not great for keeping feet warm, but I have socks for those.) I wouldn't wear them all day every day, but I have enough uses for them that I'll probably buy another pair once I decide my current pair is trash.
Yeah, I figure if you want somethign as convenient as a flip-flop for certain tasks but way more versatile and useful, Crocs are where it's at. leaving the strap up, they're perfect for running garbage out to the dumpster or taking the dog for a quick walk. flip it down for more security while you do yardwork/gardening.
They're not that socially stigmatizing to wear so long as you wear them in a strictly "these shoes are serving a practical purpose" capacity.
They're also the best beach shoes possible. Thongs are just no match for the comfort of crocs.
I really want you to talk about LPS (Littlest Pet Shop). They were such a big deal in mid-late 2000s. I know for a fact they were gigantic in Europe, because I live here, specifically in Poland. Everybody knows about them and I'm pretty sure every girl around my age used to collect them or have at least some of them. Now they're going for a lot of money. Right now, because Hasbro changed their look around 2012, everybody stopped buying them and now they tried to make the hype as big as it was before with releasing similar looking figurines as before, but it didn't really work out well. Some people, even today, are willing to pay a lot for some of these, sometimes because they are desirable because of looks only and not actual rarity (this includes 5 specific shapes of pets that became popular through TH-cam series where these starred in), sometimes it is because of small quantities released and sometimes because some pets are mysterious, by that I mean these pets were never seen in packaging and pretty much nobody knows where they came from, some of these were featured in toy fairs, advertisements and some of them were somehow aquired by sellers on chinese websites such as Taobao. Sometimes these pets are prototypes of arleady existing ones. Some pets can be worth a lot because they were country or continent exclusive, sometimes because they were bonus figures to existing pets, sometimes both (bonus pets that are country exclusives), sometimes because they are rare variants of existing pets that also came out of knowhere. The market for them is kinda hidden and not a lot of people even know that people can still buy them and pay A LOT for them, which I find fascinating. People sometimes dont even realise how rare the pets they owned as a child could be worth right know. Even though the market for them isn't very big, it still exists.

In Brazil they retail at BRL120 to BRL260! To put in perspective that ranges between 11% to 24% of the minimum monthly wage of a Brazilian worker. It is classy? No! Also very few people use them outdoors, specially because they are friggin’ hot to our weather. My kids love their CROCS, but they don’t hit big on adults around here. Of course some rich kids shows their off, but I don’t recall seeing the Funkeiros down here wearing them, and boy, they like flashy!

In 2008 or so I was a wee lad and refused to wear anything expect for checkered vans and crocs. I treated the Crocs like a friend(imaginary friend sorta thing). My dear friend betrayed me after it made me trip over a hose and skin my knee quite badly. I remember sitting in the tub forever waiting for the bleeding to stop. In weeks following I was reduced to a limp for a good month. After that I wished farewell to my dear friend, the basic red Crocs. I believe their falls in sales are clearly from me abandoning my pair of Crocs.

I think if Crocs specialized into practical purposes they'd go a long way. I can see a slip resistant shoe that is pleasant to walk in be very popular among those who work in the restaurant industry. Get rid of the styleized holes in it and make them sealed up and yeah I can see it being a brand used by all kinds of restaurant staff from your 5 star sous chef to your burger flipper at a fast food chain.

Definitely, their specialty is comfort and practicality. Not style. They need to buckle down on occupational and hobby foot wear like a fully covered steel cap boot option for Kitchen, factory, butchers, bakers, fishermen, gardeners etc. And then a slightly more stylized range for nurses, doctors, supermarket workers, servers, bar staff etc. They could make a lot of money in uniformed industries, working in a factory now I wish my gumboots had the comfort of crocs. And work places like mine that supply footwear buy hundreds of pairs at a time, it's a big market. And oh I wish there were more slip resistant, covered and waterproof shoes that were comfy from my bar days, the amount of times I had walked on wet, glass covered floors, drinks be spilled on me, and just the long hours. I couldn't tell you how many pairs of even Doc Martins I went through in the time I did bar and supermarket work. And Docs where i live come in at $200-$300 a pair.

When i was a little kid my crocs were my favorite pair of shoes. I wore them everywhere and i still think they are the best shoes when you go to the beach or a river/lake so you dont step on any sharp rocks but can still swim! They are also good for waterparks because of the hot cement!

I love Crocs! My dad bought me a pair for my 30th birthday back in Aug of 2008. They were perfect for exactly what you said, boating at his lake condo. I immediately discovered how comfortable they were. I wear them in the house mostly, but occasionally wear them to make a fashion statement at Walmart along with socks. (I intentionally do wear Crocs with socks because my kids tell me it’s a major fashion faux pas). To this day, those same Crocs from 2008 still adorn my feet and are still in excellent condition and I wear them everyday after I get home from work! Perhaps part of the problem is that Crocs needs to implement more planned obsolescence. I would’ve purchased a new pair had they only fallen apart.

I've never owned a pair, but then I don't hang out by the water or on boats much. I had the opinion that they were a cheap kids shoe that grownups adopted as an alternative to flip-flops. I didn't know they were actually designed for a purpose. I do wear sandals when I'm not wearing work boots and some of the non-croc crocs looked pretty decent. I might check them out next time I need a pair of casual shoes.

I use them for kayaking. I used to use flip flops but they kept getting stuck in the mud and i lost a few. The crocks with the canvas top and canvas strap have performed really well and have never slipped off my foot in mud even when i was hip deep in sucking mud.

I used to have a pair of Crocs. I loved them. They were great for locker rooms and such because they were more comfortable than a flip flop but could get wet and come on and off quickly. Other than that I may have worn them on a quick trip to the grocery store but I would never have worn them anywhere that I cared about my appearance.

I wear Crocs because I have wide feet and stand for a long time at my job sometimes. Crocs allow my feet to spread and I can stand for a long time without my feet hurting. If I do that with sneakers, my feet will hurt.
Also, Crocs are just easy to wear. And I also wear my Crocs year round, even when it's freezing outside.

Used to work for Crocs retail. It was an awful experience, and I say that working from 2010-2014. I would constantly get questions about the future of the company, and I'm kinda surprised CM didn't mention their partnership with Blackstone sometime in 2013 (been a minute). Also, Crocs, unless you buy certain styles, are not slip resistant. Back at college, I can't tell you how many times I almost slipped and died wearing this things to walk to the dining hall.

A year after this video and I've found they're on a surprising turn upward, which is weird because a lot of people still consider them ugly, tacky, and a fad. I honestly think they're pretty tacky, too, and I can't even wear them because my feet are too narrow and I don't like showing my feet either. And yet, as I've seen from a Journeys employee perspective, more people are buying than you would expect.

I lived in Florida as a kid and these were perfect for walking down the street to the beach. Flip flops can be kinda annoying especially when that toe thing snaps off but even if the strap in the back broke crocs always fit. They were sturdy enough to walk down the street on concrete, and they were waterproof for the beach while still breathable so they dried quicker than a water shoe
