Considering some of the packs Farfa got all hinged on one card I'm surprised he wanted to implement a rule of dismantling one card. Gotta love that Doug opened a great Generaider hand Game 1 and then after boss stage is dismantled he opens a full hand of Subterrors.
Fortune Ladies are yet another example of a cool archetype for sealed play stuck in a dogshit pack
needs 3 cards to make Every + draw 2. Every does literally nothing except in YOUR standby phase.
fortune ladies are garnets, and fortune fairies miss their timings. the deck instantly dies to imperm, ash and droll.
i love this deck to hell and back. but you literally can't play the game to save your god damned life, except playing with floodgates.
@@Wargulf2838 Well, you only need two cards to summon Every, assuming you pulled FLPast and FLCalling. Because then you just summon Earth, you have a 1 and a 6. But yeah, still, only good in Duel Links.
so... the easiest way to combo off and not have the worst open board ever is:
open FL lvl 1 (either light or past), calling or vision to add calling and a third spellcaster which we'll call [nondescript fodder]
-normal summon FLlvl1
-calling to summon the second lvl 1 of the deck. (if you get book of moon or ash'd, game 2)
-effect of past targeting itself, banish 2 spellcasters to increase level by two. light from field and [nondescript fodder] from hand (if you get imperm'd, Ogre'd or book'd, again, game 2.)
-Light effect, summon water. draw 2 (again, book on Past, game 2, you know the drill.)
-Synch-off water and past for Every (4+3=7)
you have Every and have drawn 2. is it good? no. you went -1 for a 2800 atk synchro that dies if you so much as frown at it too hard, that becomes 0 atk/def if you negate it. it could summon itself back though if you live long enough, that is, which, even in duel links is not enough, at all.
it gets beaten by blue eyes, by dark magician, by mayakashi, by cydra, even by skull servants.
but it's the most advantage this thing can muster if you're not playing floodgates or dipping into weird archetypes.
dude, what are you guys saying? everyone knows the only the combo that should be done is FLPast, FLCalling for FLLight activate skill Time Passage, banish Light for Water, draw 2, make Every
this is the only combo that should be done with Fortune Ladies /s
ps as a former DL Fortune Lady player, it is sad that even this hasn't been enough even for Duel Links for around 2-3 years
I miss fortune ladies . They never were good though lol. Deck needs a whole new wave of support
I pogged when farfa pulled double advanced, then realized he probably wouldn't read it, then pogged again when I saw it in the deck.
After the abuse he suffered from the card in Saga, seeing Doug open with the one-of Lighting Storm against Farfa was incredibly satisfying.
And then Farfa never saw his copy or that solemn he pulled

Like YU-GI-OH Master League? Each week, winners from week before play and losers play but with similar rules to master saga as far as collection/life lines goes. It'd be sweet. Then for the finale have 4 man tournament where seeding is determined by final record. It would be a hell of a project but would be sick to watch.

Farfa had his win contidion in rotation the entire time, if only he had read Fortune Lady Fire and Light before cycling mindlessly through them
The main reason I like MBT the most when it comes to Sealed formats is he doesnt just scream "bad deck", and doesnt complain when he didnt pull constructed but instead adapts and atleast tries to understand his decks
Are Fortune Ladies good? Absolutely not
Can they be playable and accomplish way more if farfa read a card? Absolutely yes
@@nbassasin8092THANK YOU. Someone finally says it. You cannot believe how many times I internally yelled through my screen telling Farfa to read a single card in his deck. Say what you will about either, but MBT is the better fit in this environment.
@@nbassasin8092 Funny thing fortune ladies are good. The problem is they are spellcasters which doesn't get good support at all. You can look at every spellcaster deck and they all suck. The reason is because they can't work together at all. You have dragons, earth monster, winged beasts and even warriors. It is a lot of different monsters that can work together. All expect spellcasters. They are the weakest and can't do anything outside their own cards. Just konami never really helping the deck reach it's top potential.

and even if they have potential, they are still bad currently, theres no deniying that
@@Pikapuff30 Yeah theres a reason MBT has that big of a lead in this series, he doesnt look at secret pack and says "well if I take it it doesnt have the 30 other cards from other packs that are used in constructed so its bad", or "it was never meta so it must be bad". Instead he looks at how the cards tick as a standalone deck, how many SR/UR cards he needs for a deck to be playable (not high ceiling but just playable on base level), and then he makes a decision
there are many mid decks that are some of the best if you take their pack alone, Ancient Gears for example, and he knows how to see that

biggest problem of Farfa vs MBT on roulette is that MBT at least knows most of the archetypes and what they do (because of TMT and Duel Links and stuff)...
Farfa always seems better on Saga since he has a tendency to want to build one deck forever _coughs in CL1 Cir target Dante noises_

38:00 could farfa have summoned dark and attacked over breaker to summon fire and pop jorm and burn for game?
That is a line that works I think. However I am pretty sure that Dzeeff can negate the summon of fire with Nidhogg.
Farfa played well and I hoped that Every could carry a game, but Dzeeff pulled pretty well in a much better deck.
@@burokkori8684 Nidhogg's effect cannot be chained to an effect that Special Summons. It is activated in response to an inherent Special Summon attempt.
So it would work, I wasn’t sure about Nids effect

Doug i LOVE your series, best on yugitube! But one request, a win tracker or some way of keepijg track of win/loss would be so nice! I know this is just for fun, but tracking wins is fun too!

Watching Doug try to hack together a Fortune Lady/Exodia FTK deck was the first stream of his I ever saw. I think it was from an MBT raid.
Doug's deck should be the most bricky deck with all the high level cards and he just draws two best god hands back to back. He is just built different.
I don't like the dismantle rule due to the fact that this is sealed format.
You already have limited resources. Why would You limit it more?

Frankly, I always was under the impression that the Royals were carrying over for the boys per person so farfa would be taking it with him back to Saga

I would love if for Master Saga 5 It involves MBT or Farfa playing like usual but at the halfway point of the series the account has to be passed to the other with whatever cards they pulled and has to adapt to the decks already built
Doug got banned from Steam for a while for trying to do an account switching thing in Saga a while ago. So I doubt he'd try anything with that again.
