I'm still SO in love with that collab. Everyone did an AMAZING job. Plus, it's actually one of my top favorite songs ever. Matchbox Twenty is kinda my favorite band, I've been saying that for years, and there's just something about this song that makes it one of my absolute faves.
I adore Drew so much, as Supsi85 knew when she made this wishlist gift for me:

(talking to Seth, Drew's father, about herself & her boyfriend, Mark)
Sarah: We're trying to have a baby.
Seth: Wow. Do the kids know?
Sarah: Just Drew. And... he got really upset.
Seth: I bet you he's taking it hard, huh?
Sarah: Yeah. You know him!
Mark: I see him smiling, and he's talking, and he's just really coming out of his shell.
Drew: Amber, he's our dad!
Amber: He's some crazy drug addict.
Drew: He's changed.
Amber: We'll always have each other.
Drew: Yeah.
Amber: I know that it was important to you to have a relationship with him.
Sarah: All Drew has done his whole life is sit around and wait for his father to show up. Wait for him at school. Wait for him after soccer. Wait for him on whole weekends that were his weekends to take them and he would never show up!
Sarah: Oh, honey. I'm really sorry. For what it's worth, you have me. I'm not going anywhere.
Sarah: You were... devastated when Amy broke up with you.
(Drew's college roommate) Berto: What's your deal with Natalie? Look, it's just that last night, I saw her macking on some other dude.
Sarah: What's wrong?
Drew: Everything! Holly! She- I tried to kiss her, okay? And she... totally rejected me.
Drew: I'm the laughing stock right now, so... thanks.
Sarah: Wait, why? Come here. Talk to me. What happened?
Drew: Because there's a picture of you guys making out going around school, so...
(Sarah's co-worker) Hank: You're never gonna understand women. [Drew chuckles.] And it's okay to be sad!
Drew: Okay, basically there's a school dance coming up, and I'm really nervous about it, because...
Uncle Adam: Right.
Drew: ...I don't know how to dance. That's basically why I'm here.
Drew: Do you have any idea what you put us through? What if you had died?!
Amy: I'm pregnant.
Amy: Drew, it's not gonna be okay!
Mark: Listen, you can talk to me about anything. (Lol and check out my fic: archiveofourown.org/works/1409... )
Drew: I ended up talking to my mom.
Amy: You told your mom about the abortion?
Drew: Yes, I told my mom. I'm sorry. Okay?
Amy: Drew.
Drew: But... it was so helpful. It just feels so good to talk to someone... who's not involved in it the same way.
Drew: Hey, I got... I heard from Berkeley. Yeah, I... I got in.
Drew: It feels like she's just gonna go off and start some new family with you or something, you know? And it hurts.
Mark: Okay, Drew, I... she's not trying to start a new family, alright?
Drew: That's what it feels like, so...
Mark: Drew!
Mark: He's a really incredible kid.
Sarah: Why Dad?
(referring to his dad getting through rehab for his addictions that season) Drew: I thought that maybe... when Dad got better, you guys would get together or something. And... I know it's stupid, but-
Sarah: It's not stupid!
(After his sister Amber asks Drew to be her special witness at a courthouse wedding.)
Drew: You can't get married without Mom there, Amber.
Amber: I'm gonna tell her, like right after, we'll have like a thing or something. It's fine.
Drew: She'd be... devastated.
Amber: It's not about her, you know? It's about what I want.
Drew: I know, it's... I know it's not, it's definitely not.
Amber: What? What's your problem?
Drew: I'm... I'm here for you. I just... I can't do that.
Drew: Enough bad stuff has happened to me, I'm pretty much used to it at this point, so...
Amy: Why? What do you mean?
Drew: We found out my aunt has cancer...
Amy: What?
Drew: Yeah, my Aunt Kristina. She has cancer, so... and it's serious.
Zeek: You know, Grandson, let me tell you something. You... are an extraordinary young man. There's a depth to you that's just... truly remarkable for someone of your age. I'm here for you if you need me, you know.
Drew: Yeah. Yeah.
Zeek: Okay.
[Zeek ruffles his hair]
Zeek: I can still do that, can't I?
Drew: Go for it.
[Zeek chuckles]
Amber: What is wrong with you?
Drew: I don't know, I wanted to...
Amber: How could you ever think I would be anything other than the proudest person in the entire universe!

Yeah, I didn't bother to watch this video, I just wanted to come in here to vent about how much I FUCKING HATE DREW BRAVERMAN!!!!! I'm in the middle of the 3rd season and I want him dead. He's a shitty and annoying character which should never have existed. He's a weak, whiney little bitch that is constantly crying (literally crying) about the tiniest of things. So all I can say is that I hope he gets pushed into a wood chipper.
Miles Heizer and Mae Whitman were the heart of the show for me. Those actors are legendary.

Oh, how I love [and relate to] the character of Drew so much. I wish he got more in the series written for him....not just more(he was in season 5 quite a bit which was great), but had better, more layered, deeper story lines and arcs that last more than 1 episode. Miles portrays Drew so well, getting the right emotion, how ever subtle or deep.----He deserves more than what he gets in the series.

I just want to say this is amazing. This really shows drew as a character and it’s edited beautifully. I first watched this edit a few weeks ago without ever seeing the show, I just knew Miles from 13rw. Since then I found this show on Amazon prime and I’m currently binge watching on season 5. Drew is my favourite character and great edit!!

This is lovely. Sweet little Drew :) It's one of the characters that manages to get tears in my eyes, a lot! This video did that too! You've used some of Drew's most emotional moments, his bond with his family was very well shown and I love the ending.

Miles was 15 years old when season 1 was filmed. That's still really young. On TV 15 year olds play 12 or 13 yes. They usually cast older actors
I know how much you love this character and we can totally see it here. It's a beautiful character study, and it reminded me of moments I had forgotten, tbh. Our Drew has come a long way, and you pictured that perfectly. :D I didn't enjoy the scenes with Natalie this season but his moments with Amber were amazing overall. Anyway, thanks for making flawless tributes like this one for undervidded characters like Drew. Amazing job!

I kind of found Drew's storylines all kind of not the best this season (season 5) - stupid drama with Natalie that I never liked much, him suddenly going to Crosby for advice with no explanation of when they became close and Crosby giving him bad advice and that never being addressed... him smoking pot with Amber felt kind of out-of-character to me, the storyline they involved him in with babysitting Victor & Sydney bothered me a bit but more on the side of how Victor and Sydney were acting and Amber acting like it was the same as what she and Drew went through, because um, it's not lol... idk. But... I still have an irrational love for Drew so I was extra happy every time he had a storyline and I enjoyed the Drew/Amy stuff they brought into this season, including Amy being crazy and living in his dorm room for a while there... :P I love seeing Drew and I was happy to vid him here. Thank you SO much for the amazing comment. It means a ton to me. ;)
Yeah the smoking pot thing was weird, I admit, but I liked that he turned to his sister to go through this rough year in college. Btw if you want to see Miles playing a younger character, he appeared in a Shark episode, as an 11 year-old kidnapped for 4 years. He was incredible in this episode. ;)
I do kinda want to watch Shark just because you love the father/daughter relationship so much. ;) Also I kinda was thinking of re-watching the ER multi-episode storyline with Miles. One of the eps had Miles & Mae Whitman in the same episode! (Although, granted, not the same storyline/not interacting with each other.)
luvtheheaven5 even if they didn't interact, it's so funny that they were in the same episode, out of the 15 seasons! :P That's so sweet of you to consider watching Shark cause I enjoy Julie's relationship with her Dad. :D There's also Sarah Carter in this show, and Sam Page in season 1 (the lawyer who kinda flirted with Kathryn in SaB), or Kevin Alejandro playing mayor Blood in Arrow. There were many guests that you know too, like Paul Wesley, Arielle Kebbel, Leighton Meester, Shaun Sipos, Romy Rosemont, Kari Matchett, Gary Cole... and a lot more lol
Yeah, I'm not surprised, most shows end up having many actors I recognize in them but that's cool. :P Thanks for letting me know! I am curious. I'll continue to think about checking it out. I told you I just watched The Good Wife, and Saving Hope. After that, I watched all of The Fosters so far, and now I'm working on Orphan Black. ;)
Wow that was such a great overview of his character! I think I remember pretty much every moment, and you found tons of emotional ones and some undervidded scenes. what episode did drew tell sarah about the abortion???
Well, we never see him actually tell her, if that's what you're asking. But in the same episode as Drew finding out that Amy is pregnant and then Amy having the abortion, at the very end of the ep, so in 4x13 "Small Victories", Drew comes to the guest house where Sarah was busy reading a book and he's crying profusely and it is implied that Drew told her about it then, off screen, right after she hugs him/comforts him. In episode 5x15 "Just Like at Home", that is the first episode where it is confirmed that Drew told his mother anything at all about the abortion. Before that ep, all we knew was that he cried and was comforted in her arms at the end of 4x13. Now we can assume he actually told her. 5x15 is when Drew tells Amy "I talked to my mom about it" and all of that stuff.

I hated what they did with his character in the last two seasons. Drew was so interesting the first few years but by the end he was just wasted on dumb relationship drama. I get that they wanted to show a college storyline but they did a terrible job. There’s way more to college than hooking up; not to mention Natalie, Amy, and Drew’s roommate were all really annoying lol. I skip all of those scenes when I rewatch.
I also don’t get why they didn’t show him interacting with the family as much other than Amber and Zeke. It’s not like he was that far away.
He had a cute relationship with Uncle Adam too but yeah you're right. Not sure he ever even talked to Crosby or Julia or Joel lol. I felt really sympathetic for Amy but the others were super annoying.

How did you get the scenes. I’ve been searching for parenthood scenes for a while and I can’t find them.
I never saw these comments from you. Do you still need Parenthood footage for something like vidding? I download full episodes not scenes. This video was made with lower quality episodes but now I have logoless HD episodes for the entire series.

For some reason at the beginning of the series I thought drew was going to be gay.
It's nice to show straight guys can be quiet and sensitive too, but I kinda wish they had let him turn out to be gay, it would've worked well and Miles would've played it well. I love Drew/Amy a lot as a ship as it turned out lol, but... Idk

I think Miles is likely gay in real life but I don't know for sure. His final season of 13 Reasons Why and parts of hours character on Love, Simon are finally letting him explore that in a way that Parenthood never did
The only thing that bothers me about this show is that the characters constantly talk over each other.
