Btw, I think the singer sings the one part wrong, "Slavory's our brother". It is supposed to be "for the slave he is our brother". And considering this tune was written in 1847 you can see why it is such a meaningful line: "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." ~Galatians 3:28
The singer doesn’t sing the song wrong, it’s Manchester Orchestra’s own spin on the song, there’s no way to do it wrong. O Holy night has been adapted many times since its creation. The lyric in this version is actually “for slave is our brother” the participant misheard and wrote the lyric incorrectly, an honest mistake.
