Bestie , this is another lovely story. In Ghana , we would say that Odion saw his daughters as his cocoa ( his investments if you see how long it takes to invest in a cocoa tree but the benefits you reap at the harvest.). Unfortunately, this is the mindset most African parents have when it comes to their children and it's sad , although it is an honour for children to take care of their parents. Even the Bible admonishes us to honour our parents. However there is a thin line between your children honouring you and extorting from your children. What Odion did was to extort from his children and give them bad advice. It's sad that Ose could not do much but I am glad that Ofure actually saw the wisdom with what her mother told her and that she had her Mum's support. She trained Ofure to be the Proverbs31 woman that she became and I'm glad she reaped the fruits of her labour😊. At the end Odion and his daughters got what they deserved ( the rape is a no no , but they brought it upon themselves in a way )but I can't blame the girls much eventhough they should have seen what their Father was doing to them.
