As for the vocal rendition of Khamboji (among many other ragams), Alathur Brothers are the ultimate. Mari Mari ninne and Koniyadina are evergreen and unbeatable. BTW, this rendition is sublime.

Most artistes of the last generation shape their alapana pertinent to the song that follows and that way any raga could be sang in different moods and emotions. Very few of today bother to show this difference and Mysore brothers rank the top!
