That’s what I’m talking about Ryan, I’ve been wanting to get one of these for a while. I saw a post on their website that he’s gonna go in a different mode of production for a while so better get one before they run out or it might be a while. Of course I have all winter to wait now. 👍
It’s really high quality. Glad i picked one up when I did. Don’t have to worry about breakage and it should stop the sloppy steering problems I was having. If you look at my stock handle there is a slight twist to the splines. I’m not sure how much longer it would have lasted
I’m a new titan 10.5 owner and my steering handle is unbelievably tight. I can barely turn it with one hand. I’ve tried a couple of tweaks that big adventures suggested to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks for the videos. Your noisy peddling episode was a cure all for my propel.
The tension in the set screw at the bottom is usually the key to the steering issues. You might also want to check the back end where the cables attach and make sure there isn't something impeding the rudder movement. Some native kayaks have had issues where the rudder makes contact with the bottom of the hull. I am glad to see my videos have helped and I hope this answer or suggestion helps!
Probably dumb question, but I was wondering if you put the string under the washer and screw or between the washer and the screw? I installed the handle on my slayer max, but i need to make some adjustments. If I put the screw too tight it made the handle hard to turn, but as I loosened it the handle was loose. I wondered if the string placement was affecting the issue as well. i do need to go back and add locktite...
Not a stupid question. Put the bolt through the washer then put the steering line loop... which then screws into the handle. The line will be sandwiched between the washer and the base of the handle. You might need to adjust how many washers you put on it if the screw tightness is impacting the tension for turning. Try adding one of the brass thin washers.
I stored mine on my floor of my garage flat on its bottom. There are a lot of people that have warped the hulls leaving them on the side or on cross bars like you might find on most trailers.
hey man appreciate your video. i reached out to him on insta, is that where he takes orders, or would you recommend that i reach out somewhere else? cheers.

I love mine. I wish this video came out before I got one. It was hard trying to figure out how to use those shims.
Yeah it took some trial and error to get the best way to set the “pre-load” on the handle! Thanks for the comment as I greatly appreciate it!
@@RhinoJoeOutdoors no problem. Your videos are great. Helped me more then once.

I got a used 2020 Slayer 12.5. I can't seem to find the spacer anywhere. Do you know if that can just be purchased?

Awesome, have mine laying flat on foam mats from harbor freight lol Thanks for the feedback!
@@thatdudeonyoutube glad to hear that. Seems to be the best way to keep them long-term.
Do you have the contact info for the handle? And how much was it?
You should be able to look him up on Instagram. Next_level_design (Ryan Garrett) and he can customize a quote for ya based on what ya need
Blingy bling!!
It’s really nice and the build quality is amazing

Yeah that’s where I would reach out to him. He is a busy guy so be patient. He’s also working on a baseplate too right now.
@@RhinoJoeOutdoors appreciate the response. Cheers my guy
