But gear five was the actual awakening of his fruit which made it quite different. Im not super sure if i want a gear six. Just food for thought on interesting theory I read the other day: There is a theory that Dragon is actually not Garp's son, and instead Luffy's mom is Garp's daughter. Theory suggests Dragon is Xebec's son. After fighting Xebec with Roger, they happen to save Xebec's son who was innocent and irrelevant from all this. So Garp decided to adopt him as his son, and gave him the name Monkey D Dragon publicly so that he can operate as a marine in his youth ( idk the exact source but I heard that Dragon used to be marine when he was young if i remember correctly). Luffy having Monkey D name in his name still makes sense because just like Ace, he got his last name from his mom (Garp's daughter). This theory stems off from the fact that when Garp tells Luffy about Dragon, it is stated (with correct translation) that the wording is very awkward and odd. It declares that Garp never directly states dragon is his son but rather "father of my grandchild", and we see instances he refers to luffy as "you are child of my child ". The theory goes on about how Silhouette for Xebec looks quite close to Dragon. This theory seemed convincing to me for three things: 1. Dragon has very, very different vibes then Luffy and Garp. Dragon hesitates and hides important detials about his son even from Ivankov by not being direct and giving 100% of the information - which is a trait Luffy and Garp doesn't possess and has been highlighted multiple times in the story of how direct and transparent they are. 2. We never see Dragon goofy like Garp or Luffy. 3. Maybe the reason why Roger decided to leave Ace to Garp is because he saw how he treated Dragon and felt safe doing the same with Ace. You stating about the possibility of reverse of the marine ford arc where Black Beard hosting an execution of Garp sounds like a very interesting idea. Blackbeard who is a replica of ideologies of Xebec vs Dragon - son of Xebec with justice educated by Garp Koby - Garp's prodigy Luffy - Mix of Garp's and Xebec's genes
That actually sounds plausible, especially considering his design - not just regarding visually: What would add to this theory is Dragon's nature compared to that of Luffy and Garp. He is exclusively shown in a stern and serious attitude, determined but always brooding. I don't think there has been a single instance without his no-nonsense attitude, has there? Much unlike them, rather than being openly joyous, he seems more restrained and moody.

Here is my theory. So the monkey god Hanuman ate the sun thinking it was a mango and became the sun god. What if luffy eats the mother flame and becomes the ultimate energy source, and then he gets a better form? His current gear 5 looks more like a white dwarf star than the sun. So maybe he eats the mother flame and becomes the actual sun god. Then there is my other theory. Sabo and luffy lead the rebellion against the WG. Sabo dies in the fight against imu. In his last breath, he tells luffy to do *whatever it was black beard did to WB to get his df* . Luffy does so, and defeats imu using his fiery sun god form. Luffy isn’t Blackbeard though, and he knows it. He explodes, and due to the vast power of the nika and flame fruits, it destroys the whole red line. the manga clearly stated that GEAR 5 is the peak of his strenght. and with oda setting up the IMPORTANCE of haki since wano and then also CONFIRMING that with JOYBOYS haki, if anything i dont see another fruit powerup but instead elbaf will be used to push him into aANOTHER power up in HAKI. it might even be another timeskip.

I agree, I think the last power up is better usage of Nika... like with the other gears being able to turn them on and off like the other gears. Avoiding the downsides. This would allow luffy to fight all day without crashing.
@@btech5652 this is just clickbait. There is nothing for devil fruits after awakening. As previously mentioned by multiple characters Haki is the key to everything. So Oda will have Luffy unlock new abilities through Haki mastering but there will not be a gear 6.

While I enjoy a good theory, this time I dont think it will Happen. Luffy even stated in his fight against Kaido and i quote „This is my Peak“. So i think he will just optimize his gear fifth and more importantly his HAKI.

I just remembered with you mentioning the mother flame/ eternal flame. In every single christian catholic church there is near the altar area a permanently lit candle whose flame is passed down and to never be let extinguished. It ties as another hint to the abrahamic links that you pointed out here. No idea where to go on from here, but I thought it's interesting enough to share.
In Jaya Oda already told us that Luffy is a monkey not just by family name as he was getting all along with the other primates Masira and Shoujou🙉🙊🙈 in a way that surprised everyone else.
It would be pointless to have another transformation. Luffy does point out that it was the peak. Now the power up that luffy will probably have is his conquerors haki. Theres 2 powerful conquerors haki left to master one is the one shanks used against greenbull this haki somehow resembles the haki unleashed by emmet which nullified the gorosei's transformation. law can use that sort of haki on a minimum tier to return to his gender. Luffy will be able to nullified a devil fruit user even if they are awakened or using the same dodging technique used by katakuri by just doing a barrage of punches onto his enemy.
I think his next "gear" or power up is when he gets his hands on the mother flame or a "fake" mother flame from vegapunk and that unlocks the next transformation of g5
I think there gonna give him different transformations because gear 5 is technically the only zoan transformation we've gotten from his fruit. Everything before gear five is basically (If Rob Lucci ate his fruit and could only transform his fingernails into claws and call it Claw Claw fruit😂😂) so he should have a zoan awakening and different forms other than turning into a giant, so there will probably be more than just a gear 6th. I feel like after they find the one piece they'll have to protect it from celestial dragons in space or something, I mean it's kinda obvious when they all wear suits that look so alien compared to everything else.

But what I always don't like about the thumbnails and portraitions of unknown OP characters is the artworks. :D They always look like sexy anime boys, while most of the OP chatacters look like absolute potatoes. My theory is that he goes into another variation of Gear 5 like how he goes into Bounce-Man to Snake-man, and even Tank-man in his Gear 4 depending on the circumstances like when he goes Snake-man for speed. In one little detail, going back post-land of wano, i don't accurately recall when was this exactly after wano, but there's this scene on when he was having fun with his crew and then suddenly gets mad (commedically). And in his state, he is seemingly angry, and in his Gear 5 (the garb-like smokes is formed like when goes into gear 4 and 5). I think that this hints that this is another variation of Gear 5. Gear 5 being all Joyful and everything, and there's this variation being complete opposite, being wrathful and maybe even switching to a demon-like form when he gets into a rage.
So with your last theory about him being the eternal flame or somehow needing sabo at the end to make said flame, definitely makes sense to me. Somehow luffy will need some sort of fire to fight off the five elders. If you look at the recent video that had just dropped with sabo fighting the elders, you’ll see his fire stopped them from progressing until it was put out and they moved in towards him and Cobra.
Luffy did say that gear 5 was his peak. I think he would be strange for Oda to include that statement and make a gear 6. I do think gear 5 will get at least one more form though like gear 4. Especially since it could be based off of his imagination. He could potentially just manifest Gear 5 Nightmare Man if he wanted.
Personal take: Nika is a combination of Son Wukong, Hanuman, the gnostic Satanael (in which he's the good guy, trying to free everyone from an imperfect material world made by a cruel false god) and Surtr, the fire giant destined to destroy Asgard during Ragnarok.

Hear me out. A personal theory on human human fruits. What if they're misnamed fruits of evolution. And chopper ate a blank one. It would explain why he doesn't have a full fledge human form. And when he eventually passes away (hopefully not for a long time) that fruit takes on a new form the Human human fruit model Deer. It loosely could also explain Luffy's fruit if the first person to eat it had an extremely active and flexible imagination. Each blank evolution fruit would take on the strongest characteristics of the one who ate it. And if all fruits were blanks when they first appeared then each one would take on characteristics of the first thing they came into contact with or the ones who ate them.
My theory for a gear 6th ability is that he'd gain a Katakuri like ability that almost makes him a Logia. I say this because of the theory's that BB gets all 3 types of fruit, and it'd be a cool parallel if Luffy also had all 3 with his 1 fruit.

I definitely like the idea of the next powerup being just Gear 5 but with a "power source" such as the mother flame to overcome the limits of the users own body. That could be what truely makes the users the SUN god, they get a Sun like flame behind them that is a massive power booster working similarly to the Sky races flame. What could make it most interesting is that Luffy needs to manifest that flame himself, which he only can do once he experiences the flame directly and thinks "if i had that, I could use Gear 5 forever" so he catches some and puts it on his back.
On an unrelated note. I just had an idea of wondering what if Eating 2 devils fruits doesn't explode you, but instead causes you to lose all strength... just like submerging in water does. What if the Water Water fruit user was dissolved into the water, and the more submerged you are the more essence of the devils fruit your body experiences, which does nothing to normal people but to devils fruit users causes them to act as if they are eating a 2nd fruit. The more submerged, the more essence they experience and the weaker they get. This then could offer a way to be able to swing as a devils fruit user, if you have a way to overcome having multiple devils fruits in one body. This also offers a way for the Gorosei to not be afraid of water, they may have the knowledge on how to overcome it or keep that essence out when they get submerged. This bit wouldn't apply if their powers are not devils fruits but is power given to them by Imu, though it could actually be that Imu extracted the Devil from Saturn and that is what the black flames were, so that Imu could force it into a fruit near them to give to Garling.
I had this predicted too. It will be Luffy's final FINAL form and it won't even have the "gear" naming scheme e.g. it'll be something like straight-up "Nika". Any fight with Blackbeard or Imu will nullify devil fruit powers I imagine, so this will definitely be what's needed. I still think a core part of Luffy will come through and be what ultimately wins, but yeah, Gear 5 will not be the end.
I do love the idea of Luffy absorbing the flame fruit! Like, if Blackbeard does it by killing those who love him, Luffy can do it when his loved ones sacrifice themselves for us. I know a lot of people see Sabo as mid, and a lot of people see Ace as mid. But if this direction bears out, then Oda will make us love them so much before rubbing their deaths in our faces once again.
Whatever "gear 6" is I think it will be called reverse gear, nightmare form or something like that. Because most automatic cars have 5 forward gears and one reverse gear. Then there is also the fact that the crew started their journey on the Grandline with reverse mountain. Then gear 5th is associated with dreams so the reverse of that would be nightmares and we have already seen a nightmare form of Luffy in thriller bark. This would very much work with the Lucifer imagery as well and the mink transformation.

One more link between the rumble ball, gear 5 and the Fishman energy pills, the new version of the rumble ball that Chopper used in Wano had the (temporary) side effect of giving him a weakened old man chibi form, very similar to Luffy after using gear 5, and the consequences that Hody Jones qnd his crew experienced for over using the energy pills!
I guess first time Luffy Sun Power used would be when he fights Akainu, saying "you're just magma, my sun can burn even you", payback to what akainu said to Ace in marineford. And it would be awesome if Luffy himself that will avenges Ace's death.

It in fact establishes a lot of that lore. So it makes way more sense to assume he carries a Nika bible, not a Christian one which would have no other standing to exist in the verse.
Be sorta funny if there was a connection between the theory that rumble balls change the wavelength of the devil fruit to give the different forms and the moon waves in Dragon Ball that make saiyans go Great Ape. So Garp decided to adopt him as his son, and gave him the name Monkey D Dragon publicly so that he can operate as a marine in his youth ( idk the exact source but I heard that Dragon used to be marine when he was young if i remember correctly).
Luffy having Monkey D name in his name still makes sense because just like Ace, he got his last name from his mom (Garp's daughter).
This theory stems off from the fact that when Garp tells Luffy about Dragon, it is stated (with correct translation) that the wording is very awkward and odd. It declares that Garp never directly states dragon is his son but rather "father of my grandchild", and we see instances he refers to luffy as "you are child of my child ".
The theory goes on about how Silhouette for Xebec looks quite close to Dragon.
This theory seemed convincing to me for three things:
1. Dragon has very, very different vibes then Luffy and Garp. Dragon hesitates and hides important detials about his son even from Ivankov by not being direct and giving 100% of the information - which is a trait Luffy and Garp doesn't possess and has been highlighted multiple times in the story of how direct and transparent they are.
2. We never see Dragon goofy like Garp or Luffy.
3. Maybe the reason why Roger decided to leave Ace to Garp is because he saw how he treated Dragon and felt safe doing the same with Ace.
You stating about the possibility of reverse of the marine ford arc where Black Beard hosting an execution of Garp sounds like a very interesting idea.

Here is my theory.
So the monkey god Hanuman ate the sun thinking it was a mango and became the sun god. What if luffy eats the mother flame and becomes the ultimate energy source, and then he gets a better form? His current gear 5 looks more like a white dwarf star than the sun. So maybe he eats the mother flame and becomes the actual sun god.
Then there is my other theory.
Sabo and luffy lead the rebellion against the WG. Sabo dies in the fight against imu. In his last breath, he tells luffy to do *whatever it was black beard did to WB to get his df* . Luffy does so, and defeats imu using his fiery sun god form. Luffy isn’t Blackbeard though, and he knows it. He explodes, and due to the vast power of the nika and flame fruits, it destroys the whole red line. Before exploding though, he uses his gum gum powers to get all his allies away. “TO BE CONTINUED IN TWO PIECE”

@@btech5652 this is just clickbait. There is nothing for devil fruits after awakening. As previously mentioned by multiple characters Haki is the key to everything. So Oda will have Luffy unlock new abilities through Haki mastering but there will not be a gear 6.

It would be pointless to have another transformation. Luffy does point out that it was the peak. Now the power up that luffy will probably have is his conquerors haki. Theres 2 powerful conquerors haki left to master one is the one shanks used against greenbull this haki somehow resembles the haki unleashed by emmet which nullified the gorosei's transformation. law can use that sort of haki on a minimum tier to return to his gender. Luffy will be able to nullified a devil fruit user even if they are awakened or using the same dodging technique used by katakuri by just doing a barrage of punches onto his enemy.

I think his next "gear" or power up is when he gets his hands on the mother flame or a "fake" mother flame from vegapunk and that unlocks the next transformation of g5
I think there gonna give him different transformations because gear 5 is technically the only zoan transformation we've gotten from his fruit. Everything before gear five is basically (If Rob Lucci ate his fruit and could only transform his fingernails into claws and call it Claw Claw fruit😂😂) so he should have a zoan awakening and different forms other than turning into a giant, so there will probably be more than just a gear 6th. I feel like after they find the one piece they'll have to protect it from celestial dragons in space or something, I mean it's kinda obvious when they all wear suits that look so alien compared to everything else.

My theory is that he goes into another variation of Gear 5 like how he goes into Bounce-Man to Snake-man, and even Tank-man in his Gear 4 depending on the circumstances like when he goes Snake-man for speed. In one little detail, going back post-land of wano, i don't accurately recall when was this exactly after wano, but there's this scene on when he was having fun with his crew and then suddenly gets mad (commedically). And in his state, he is seemingly angry, and in his Gear 5 (the garb-like smokes is formed like when goes into gear 4 and 5). I think that this hints that this is another variation of Gear 5. Gear 5 being all Joyful and everything, and there's this variation being complete opposite, being wrathful and maybe even switching to a demon-like form when he gets into a rage.

So with your last theory about him being the eternal flame or somehow needing sabo at the end to make said flame, definitely makes sense to me. Somehow luffy will need some sort of fire to fight off the five elders. If you look at the recent video that had just dropped with sabo fighting the elders, you’ll see his fire stopped them from progressing until it was put out and they moved in towards him and Cobra.
Luffy did say that gear 5 was his peak. I think he would be strange for Oda to include that statement and make a gear 6. I do think gear 5 will get at least one more form though like gear 4.
Especially since it could be based off of his imagination. He could potentially just manifest Gear 5 Nightmare Man if he wanted.

Hear me out. A personal theory on human human fruits. What if they're misnamed fruits of evolution. And chopper ate a blank one. It would explain why he doesn't have a full fledge human form. And when he eventually passes away (hopefully not for a long time) that fruit takes on a new form the Human human fruit model Deer. It loosely could also explain Luffy's fruit if the first person to eat it had an extremely active and flexible imagination. Each blank evolution fruit would take on the strongest characteristics of the one who ate it. And if all fruits were blanks when they first appeared then each one would take on characteristics of the first thing they came into contact with or the ones who ate them.

My theory for a gear 6th ability is that he'd gain a Katakuri like ability that almost makes him a Logia.
I say this because of the theory's that BB gets all 3 types of fruit, and it'd be a cool parallel if Luffy also had all 3 with his 1 fruit.

I definitely like the idea of the next powerup being just Gear 5 but with a "power source" such as the mother flame to overcome the limits of the users own body. That could be what truely makes the users the SUN god, they get a Sun like flame behind them that is a massive power booster working similarly to the Sky races flame. What could make it most interesting is that Luffy needs to manifest that flame himself, which he only can do once he experiences the flame directly and thinks "if i had that, I could use Gear 5 forever" so he catches some and puts it on his back.
On an unrelated note. I just had an idea of wondering what if Eating 2 devils fruits doesn't explode you, but instead causes you to lose all strength... just like submerging in water does. What if the Water Water fruit user was dissolved into the water, and the more submerged you are the more essence of the devils fruit your body experiences, which does nothing to normal people but to devils fruit users causes them to act as if they are eating a 2nd fruit. The more submerged, the more essence they experience and the weaker they get. This then could offer a way to be able to swing as a devils fruit user, if you have a way to overcome having multiple devils fruits in one body.
This also offers a way for the Gorosei to not be afraid of water, they may have the knowledge on how to overcome it or keep that essence out when they get submerged. This bit wouldn't apply if their powers are not devils fruits but is power given to them by Imu, though it could actually be that Imu extracted the Devil from Saturn and that is what the black flames were, so that Imu could force it into a fruit near them to give to Garling.
I personally feel like the added power-up will be called "Gear Overdrive", because the 6th gear is usually either that or Reverse🤷🏾♂️🤣
I had this predicted too. It will be Luffy's final FINAL form and it won't even have the "gear" naming scheme e.g. it'll be something like straight-up "Nika". Any fight with Blackbeard or Imu will nullify devil fruit powers I imagine, so this will definitely be what's needed. I still think a core part of Luffy will come through and be what ultimately wins, but yeah, Gear 5 will not be the end.

Whatever "gear 6" is I think it will be called reverse gear, nightmare form or something like that. Because most automatic cars have 5 forward gears and one reverse gear. Then there is also the fact that the crew started their journey on the Grandline with reverse mountain. Then gear 5th is associated with dreams so the reverse of that would be nightmares and we have already seen a nightmare form of Luffy in thriller bark. This would very much work with the Lucifer imagery as well and the mink transformation.

I guess first time Luffy Sun Power used would be when he fights Akainu, saying "you're just magma, my sun can burn even you", payback to what akainu said to Ace in marineford. And it would be awesome if Luffy himself that will avenges Ace's death.
