Great clip from the live Broadcast! Thank You.
Forever young Andy. Kelly, great as ever.
Sage! Kelly! two of my favorite surfers
How classy is Kelly! "Love all the memories"
One of the sport of surfings most talented and raw individuals gone far too soon... I will have a tribute surf for you today andy , rest in peace.
Sage, you rule!
This was a really cool video. Andy is my favorite surfer of all times. When you look at that ASP champion list from 2001-2011 it’s absolutely insane. On another note I’m not a huge Slater fan however his biggest mistake in his career was letting those trash firewire boards get under his feet. Had he stayed with Merrick in my opinion he would probably have another 2-3 world titles atleast. Andy would be the first one to tell him that firewire boards are pure garbage. It’s why no other pros are stupid enough to ride them.
rip in peace cuzzy
Kind words
i was just thinking that. kelly would be stood up!
yeah I think ur rite :)
does anyone know how Andy died??
As a recovering addict who sees and deals with bipolar addicts all the time, goes to their funerals, sees them jailed, etc, I can say it takes one to know one. Have you seen the coroners report? Medical commentary? Clearly it states that his medical condition was the result of years of drug abuse. Why not focus on mental disorders and drug abuse? Perhaps if we don't keep sweeping it under the rug, others will not die tragic, early, and ugly deaths, and will live up to their full potential.
Kelly only won two of his world titles without Andy there
What he was, was a drug addict, and bipolar. Drugs ended his life too early, and made him less of a surfer. One should discuss this so that everyone realizes that you cannot take drug abuse, addiction, and mental illness lightly. If he died surfing, we would say he died doing what he loved. But he died as a result of years of drug abuse.
Most people who suffer with mental illness or even people who are on the autism spectrum use drugs not for the high, but to feel normal. To switch of that mayhem going on in their heads
Uh, yeah they were friends.
cardiac arrest, as far as i've heard):
i love AI! but i'm so fucking sick of hawaii using another flag when it's a state of the usa!
they were not friends! also kelly got lucky cause he would not have as many world titles if andy was still alive!
