Thank you very much for the video!!! One question though, In the Windows Credential record, there is a checkbox called Use MID Server Service Account, do we set that to true ?(in your previous video on MID Server installation we created the MID Server Service Account, I thought we will be using that here)
Hello, what is the log in that you create at 2:09? Is it the windows login to the Host machine that is hosting AD? And the IP you specified is the AD Host IP address? thx
How did you define the reference variables for the user and group names in the add user to group catalog item? I have tried setting them as LDAP DB CMDB_CI_ad_controller but neither seems to work.
When entering user name in windows credentials. It is a domain account with local admin rights on mid server? Or a domain account with local admin rights on AD Domain Controller? When Testing Credentials, 10.0.04, is the ip address of the domain controller? Also, what AD credentials does the domain account need? Domain Admin?
@@servicenowtalks3085 When testing the credentials I get 'authentication failed'. The credentials are for a local admin on the AD. If I give it domain admin the test is successful. Do you know which permissions are necessary for the test to succeed, with least privilege in mind? Edit: The error was me creating a new local admin on the mid server. Deleted the created user and used the correct user from AD. Now the credentials are validated.
Hi...The credentials are working fine for me when I test..but when I tried to run the Disable Computer action it is showing an error saying like " Invalid Credentials for host"..What might be the reason for this?
Another beautiful video, thanks
This is awesome tutorial. No other place to go if you want to learn AD Spoke with ServiceNow.
What permission are required for the user on AD Server to get authenticated in Connection step?
It is so clearly explained. Appreciate it.
Thank you for such a simple and well demonstrated video. Really liked it.
Can you also help with workday Hr Spoke

Can we use it for on premises AD
Great video, any thoughts on adding multiple users to AD group in a single transaction. Thank you.
If the API is available within Microsoft Graph API, then you could built your own custom action spoke for it

I have created a user with local admin rights. The IP address is that of the mid server where I have setup an AD domain and server
