I have heard from Rita Gadi about this William Saunders Swiss accounts which according to her was opened in 1962 and another account under the name of a certain Ryan and under that name was the name of Imelda Marcos in 1965. These accounts were presented in the New York trial of the century but the PCGG has no evidence that this money came from the coffers of the Phil government or people. Imelda was acquitted. But the money in hundreds of million dollars still ended up in the hands of the Phil govt. But what actually happened to the money later on is not clear. But what is clear to me is that these accounts were opened before Marcos became president.

The Commission on Audit (COA) has questioned the failure of the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) to sell the ill-gotten properties that were sequestered from cronies of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos.
In the 2017 audit report, the COA said the expected sale would generate more than P336 million in funds, including revenue from other administered assets of the PCGG, for the government’s Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.

Imelda was acquitted. But the money in hundreds of million dollars still ended up in the hands of the Phil govt. But what actually happened to the money

COA flags PCGG over unsold properties of Marcos cronies

The Commission on Audit (COA) has questioned the failure of the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) to sell the ill-gotten properties that were sequestered from cronies of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos.
In the 2017 audit report, the COA said the expected sale would generate more than P336 million in funds, including revenue from other administered assets of the PCGG, for the government’s Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.
