Twenty-eight captivating and smart ladies have been chosen as the official candidates in the countrys most prestigious beauty pageant, the Binibining Pilipinas 2003. The coronation night will be held on March 15 at the Araneta Coliseum.
Pageant organizer, Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI), disclosed that the official candidates were the best of the over 150 aspirants who were screened by a panel of sponsors at the Foodome of the Araneta Center in Quezon City last Feb. 1, 2003.
Many of the contestants are based in the National Capital Region (NCR), but a good number come as far as Pampanga, Cebu, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan City, Bacolod, Zamboanga, Australia and the US.
The Official candidates are: Maria del Carmen Antigua, Anna Kathrina Ashby, Cherry May Bacarro, Aloha Crisostomo, Nilda Baliwag, Farrah Casilda Tuballa, Gladys Cruz, Ruth Faye Toribio, Jeramie Alagon, Carolyn Ramos, Penelope Grulla, Jhezarie Javier, Kate Sephora Baesa, Jacquelyne Inoferio, Anne Marie Falcon, Sanya Smith, Ariane Garcia, Angelina Corstorphan, Maria Rafaela Yunon, Noela Mae Evangelista, Angelica Sandel, Gretchen Malalad, Carla Gay Balingit, Diana Sadie, Maria Elena Andaya, Ma.
