Cam Akers was the best RB on the team last season. Bring him in if he's healthy and stop assuming Chandler is #2.

If Terry Allen can have a Pro-Bowl(ish) season on two bad wheels near 30, Akers can at 25.
Cam akers is an obvious rb2 of healthy. Additionally he didnt hurt his knee. His Achilles is now fiberwire. It cant rupture again, with what he did after the first. No reason he won’t this time. He’s a good rb2 with a high ceiling. Ty has some speed but inconsistent with blocks. Cam akers is winning that rb2 if he can come back

Anyone complaining about the lack of late picks next year needs to remember they can use a little of the cap space to sign a bunch of solid vet min guys to fill out the roster for 1 year. Obviously continuously doing that isn’t sustainable, but for one “stepping stone” year it might even be preferable to have a few extra vets over rooks in the locker room.
How about Top 10 Greatest Viking Catches: Off the top of my head (not in order): Kramer-Rashad (original Minneapolis Miracle), JJ catch against the Bills, any 3 or 4 of Randy Moss, Carter against the Eagles, Addison ripping his catch out of 49er defender's hands, KJ to start the greatest comeback...any more? Keep FLO for years please, I think B Flo appreciates the Vikings ownership and our facilities. And as far as Cam he was becoming our #1 till he got hurt so I’d say if he comes back healthy he’s head and shoulders the #3 if not the #2.

So, there aren't many gaps then, and some of the ones you mention could come off the list if some young players make progress this season, for example Brandel, Ingram, Roy, Khyree, Mekhi.

Vikings are 6th all time in playoff appearances, the 5 teams ahead of them all have multiple Super Bowl wins. Also the Vikings are the only team in the nfl with a championship game appearance in every decade since the 70s

What isn't mentioned often about Flores is he is another Belichick hard ass who grates on people. If the defense isnt top notch they will grow tired of his bullshit real quick...

Fact check - the Vikes comprehensively outrushed the Raiders and new Packers RB Josh Jacobs 132 vs 56 yards in Brandel's first start, and Ty also outrushed the Lions super duo Gibbs & Montgomery 89 vs 70 in Brandel's other start. Ingram can also definitely move folks. Jones is a definite upgrade over Mattison, and year 3 Ty should be an improvement on year 2. Only small margins separate the best from the rest. Maybe you're just an overly pessimistic glass half empty fan, or just overlooking the nuance.
I don’t view the 1998-99 as much of a missed opportunity as you guys. The Vikings were battered by the end of that game, with season-ending injuries to John Randle and others, and don’t forget, that Broncos team was 14-0 before they started resting their starters. If they had gone for 19-0, they probably could have done it.
But the opportunity that really hurts is the 1975-76 team, that lost to the Hail Mary (Pearson pushed off). That team was loaded for bear, and I think they would have won their rematch against the Steelers in Super Bowl X.

Why is everyone ignoring the Achilles heal of our team.... It's Turdbury. There's no way in hell we make a deep playoff run with him at center. I don't care if he's squeaked out some more average play. He's still absolutely terrible and routinely fails against good DTs and he makes our guards worse than they are. He literally caused the Giants playoff loss all on his own. Probably why Kirk wanted to leave. The guy is an absolute liability.

The 1975 Vikings, if it was not for the Hail Mary would’ve went to the Super Bowl in one Bud and Fran concurred that that was their best and most talented team of that era. The 1987 Vikings had they went to the Super Bowl would’ve also won because the Redskins destroyed the Broncos. It is my opinion that the 1998 team if they won against Atlanta, they probably would’ve lost the Super Bowl that Denver was talented and we had a lot of injuries at the end of that title game, we won the title game we would’ve won the Super Bowl then 2017 probably not had we won the NFC championship against the Eagles. I’m a fan of the Vikings since 1972.

The chances of Flores are staying are excellent if they make him the best-paid DC in the league and let it be known, by leaking the news, that he's #1 in salary.

I think B Flo is here for a while his kids are getting to that age where moving becomes more problematic and he is in a great situation for transparency and communication. The amount of BS he has put up with since Miami I am sure has to be considered, is a move worth it vs. being a highly paid and respected DC.
He'll go after the $$$, and the HC opportunity.... it's about legacy, not family.... and they are all the same in that regard

Kenny Clark is a beast but is he right for our 3-4 scheme? He seems to be a perfect 3-tech in a 4-3. I would like a Vince Wilfork-type at NT in our 3-4.
Kenny Clark is really strong for the position, and has played well as both NT and 3T in the 4-3 and as NT in the 3-4. He reminds me a bit of Linval Joseph. Dominant and good in any defensive scheme.
Would the Vikings consider having 4 qbs on the active roster? I feel like Jaren Hall will not get pass waivers and someone like the Rams could potentially pick him up
Having him on the practice squad might even be a waste at this point.
