TGCF Voice Actors | Japanese dub&Chinese

I'm sure many people wondered about the voice actors while watching donghua. Do you prefer to watch donghuas in their original language or Japanese dub?

As a long time seiyuu fan, I really respect Kamiya-san and FukuJun on their hardwork with the JP dub, I feel that since the og animation already have the CN voices in it, it was more of a challenge to match the mouthing while also acting as the characters. During S2 dangg I was so happy on FukuJun’s voice switch as Hua Cheng bc his deeper voice is just really good.
For the CN dub, truthfully speaking this is one of the shows (along with MDZS) that got me into CN voice actors lol. XL’s CN VA voice is honestly sooo good (sad about the recasting on S2 tho) 😭😭😭 and HC’s CN VA also became one of my instant faves.

I prefer the original one, even though I need english sub for both in original languange or japanese dub 😄 I like listening in their original language

I love the fact that both Japanese and Chinese VAs are wearing the similar color schemes as their respective characters, white for Xie Lian and red for Hua Cheng. 🥰

Coincidentally Fukuyama jun the Japanese VA of 😅hua Cheng currently has donghua hua cheng's length of hair 😅 .. It's kinda cute though

Thanks for mentioning this because I had completely forgotten about it! For those who don't know: there are allegations that he embezzled 2 million dollars and that's why he was caught by the police. Xie Lian's new voice actor is Deng Youxi.

I like the original Chinese version more!

I like the original Mandarin. Trouble is I don’t understand it and I think the subs are somewhat watered down and lose a lot in translation. The English dub is crazily funny. I will be interested to hear the Japanese dub.

I definitely prefer any language except English dub when it comes to asian related shows. Western dubbers kinda like detached and unfamiliar..
