We have a huge new barn that’s really a glorified garage where we keep all our vehicles in. It also has an upstairs where I keep over a hundred French styled chairs waiting to be disassembled and restyled. I call them “my ladies in waiting”. We also use part of our barn for tinkering on things where we have tons of new tools to work with. I’m telling you, this barn is huge!! LOL! This is where I disassemble my chairs. I was going to use a spacious storage room as my work space, but I find that most of the chairs I work on are really old and dirty! I just didn’t want to reupholster chairs using expensive fabrics in the same space. So, after watching your tour, I’ve made plans to build a She Shed/studio/greenhouse/hang out to reupholster. We have a farm with so many beautiful spots to build. I’m so excited about this new journey I’m on after being in education for 25 years and it’s all because of you Wendy!! Thank you so much for offering these courses and sharing your vision with us. I plan to take your Business Course too. I heard it’s a game changer! And, I hope to come to your retreat one of these days. I’m just trying to get myself and business in a great position to be successful. Thank you!!!

@@ChairWhimsy I am looking forward to getting there!! I was working on one chair I was able to find, more like what I wanted, and it has more staples and nails than I have ever seen on ANYTHING! It is an old chair that had springs in it with sack cloth and something I didn’t even know what it was stuffing it! I worked on it on the front porch in 30 degree temps! I really have never seen so many staples! I worked for 4 hours pulling staples and still not finished! Have you ever had a chair with so many staples and nails you wondered if it was worth it?

Your input would be very much appreciate as I need to purchase a new one. When you purchase fabric to keep on hand how much do you purchase? This also gave me an idea of where I could work at home-we have an old metal barn we are going to transform for a gathering space....just thinking. Many thanks
