Fact: The sample from the beginning (The Sherbs - We Ride Tonight) already appeared at the Astralwerks Party with Thomas Bangalter (the silver robot) with Stephane Queme (DJ Falcon) featuring Cassius back in 2002, when Cassius and Together made a tour. Dj Falcon was who found the sample for the song, that was one of the reasons why Daft Punk credited him on the song. Jesse Funk So I wasn't the only one who thought it was suspicious that someone who had "Sabres fan" in their username also had a Capitals logo as their profile picture?
Was listening to Daft Punk's complete discography for a week now. Heard in the right order. Hearing this track at the last will purely send some sort of ticklish waves into your brain. (Just try hearing RAM's songs in order)
The NASA sample features a recording of Eugene Cernan from the Apollo 17 mission, in which he observes a flashing object from a window of his capsule.[6][2] It was later surmised that the particle was a discarded rocket stage.[7] Bangalter emphasized the choice of Cernan, the last man to leave the surface of the moon on the final Apollo mission, being used to end the album.[8]
Sampling is like an organ transplant. When done properly, the donor is a perfect match for the recipient, and it feels virtually seamless. When done poorly, it can completely kill a song. Daft Punk are like Derek Stiles from the Trauma Center games.
MLG Cthulhu I think an example of a sample killing the song would be when Kanye West sampled Harder Better Faster Stronger. All that did was remind me of something I'd rather be listening to.
I had a dream recently about how scary it would be to get stranded somewhere like space with no way of communicating with other life, knowing you would die alone, and this song gives me chills now.
When I listen to this, I picture someone falling from the sky in slow motion, a slow but inevitable descent to their demise. And in those final moments before they cease to exist anymore, their life flashes before their eyes in movie montage style with this playing as the soundtrack to their life. Moments that brought light and love and moments that devastated and destroyed all intertwined in perfect harmony to bring peace and finality to a life truly lived.
If you’re listening to this because of Daft Punks breakup, you’re a legend. And let me just say, Thank you for being a part of my life Daft Punk 1993-2021
When I first heard this song it gave me hope for the future and what was daft punk going to be coming up with it next.Little did I know that this song was meant to be a finale to their saga. Daft punk will always be with us, their music will be in our hearts and our memories. Long live the kings, you’ll be missed but never forgotten.
I was literally listening to them last night, and this last week. I honestly can't believe that this would happen, especially with all that they've done together. I even remember when they released "Get Lucky" on my birthday on TH-cam and me always jamming too it even last night. Truly iconic, and legendary. A duo that will always be remembered for its memorable iconic and legendary moments which in my opinion were one of the best duos ever. Thank you for everything, Daft Punk, you will truly be missed. I honestly didn't expect this to happen so early, but like they always say every great thing always has a start and then an end. Truly missed and one of the best artists in history. Glad to have been able to exprience them throughout all these years & to hear them. All the best to the future for the both of them. 😭🤧👏💫👑🔝🙏👑💙🐐🌍♾

Without question the greatest album ending... EVER.
This is quite fitting for a last track.
You can also hear this recording with it: th-cam.com/video/as4NwIFVxCc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xS6bo9G1VfUW3uYD&t=12912
In this same tour you also can find sets where you can listen to the "Original Version" of Call On Me: th-cam.com/video/WbAzss8TACc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BCMKzBHQpCIezyXi&t=3222
Daft punk and Hans zimmer ..please do a collab!!...
AnimatorLinden Wrong.... That would be sensational ;)
Anuraag Nandagiri you're completely right man
Anuraag Nandagiri I'm pretty sure he had something to do with the Tron soundtrack they created, I can't remember the details though.
Anuraag Nandagiri I almost shit my pants after reading these words
Christian Maier Yeah Daft Punk composed the soundtrack.
One of my favorite Daft Punk songs and one of my favorite song of all time!
same
Hey mister sauce, could you help me with the first daft punk CD that my dj played for me when I was a dancer?
This is the most powerful track Daft Punk ever made.
Welcome to Valencia, Esteban.

hello, fellow degenerate
We know where he came from but we don’t know where ogone?
the end freaked out my dog...

I *LOVE* the noises in this one.
Best song on this album!
Sabres fan with a Caps avatar, very odd.
Totally agree. I can't belive that something so AMAZING exists.
Jesse Funk So I wasn't the only one who thought it was suspicious that someone who had "Sabres fan" in their username also had a Capitals logo as their profile picture?
"I don't know if that does you any good, but there is something out there." Life is bigger than we can ever know.
This song makes me want to ask my therapist if she's ok.
Hahahaha
Te mamaste jaja 😂
jaajajajajajjajjaaj

When I go to space I will be listening to Daft Punk
kllyjrd why will you never listen to daft punk?
such a shame
Filip Djordjevic Bad joke. Plus, this comment is two years old.
kllyjrd jokes on u
U mean when the computers /AI go to space they will be jamming to daft punk.
Absolutely agree. We will be there together as bros
Good choice. Check out 'The Midnight' or 'Locke' by PYLOT
I feel like the whole Synthwave genre is too unknown.
Was listening to Daft Punk's complete discography for a week now. Heard in the right order. Hearing this track at the last will purely send some sort of ticklish waves into your brain. (Just try hearing RAM's songs in order)
even there old acid techno stuff?
+Thorbius Everything from Daftendirekt to Contact. Yeah.. Pretty much every song of theirs'.
Finally someone who has amazing taste in music.
The buildup almost makes me want to scream its so perfect.
Warning do not play this while driving
I don't think I'll listen to that warning
True ,im driving to fast
Warning: it's even "worse" When you're a pilot

The NASA sample features a recording of Eugene Cernan from the Apollo 17 mission, in which he observes a flashing object from a window of his capsule.[6][2] It was later surmised that the particle was a discarded rocket stage.[7] Bangalter emphasized the choice of Cernan, the last man to leave the surface of the moon on the final Apollo mission, being used to end the album.[8]
Aman Ag *Don't* believe everything NASA or the Internet tells you! ✌
RIP
Aman Ag thanks
Daniel D'Angelo Okay, I won't believe you.
Love that you didn't remove the Wikipedia source links.
Sampling is like an organ transplant. When done properly, the donor is a perfect match for the recipient, and it feels virtually seamless. When done poorly, it can completely kill a song. Daft Punk are like Derek Stiles from the Trauma Center games.
I've never seen it kill a song
MLG Cthulhu it's an entertaining analogy but neither have I.
Dean444ful I guess I've never really heard any samples used except for Daft Punk though, so that explains it.
MLG Cthulhu I think an example of a sample killing the song would be when Kanye West sampled Harder Better Faster Stronger. All that did was remind me of something I'd rather be listening to.
R.J. Beasley I guess I agree with that, It's not as bad as "killing" the song but it might make it less enjoyable.
We might did not want to admit it, but this always has been a goodbye. Now I really realize but never wanted to accept that
Thanks Danny, this song is awesome indeed.
TehDarkrai XD
Lol same
yepp
TehDarkrai You haven't heard this before?
gamegrumps suggestions are always awesome...
song makes me think of my dad and how I wanted my dad to fight to live, but he passed, but it makes me live and fight every day and never give up
never give up!
Yes we never give up
michael clark Keep fighting, brother! we're not here on this earth forever ~ you'll see pops on the other side!! ✌✌
yes, indeed! indeed!
Keep fighting Michael!
Who said Daft Punk is no more, their music is eternal
And let me just say,
Thank you for being a part of my life
Daft Punk 1993-2021
Gracias por hacer este discazo!
Si! epico!
SI
When I first heard this song it gave me hope for the future and what was daft punk going to be coming up with it next.Little did I know that this song was meant to be a finale to their saga. Daft punk will always be with us, their music will be in our hearts and our memories. Long live the kings, you’ll be missed but never forgotten.
This song goes harder than any other electronic music Ive ever heard. Uncontested masterpiece.
This is what speed of light sounds like.

The last song of one of the best groups ever. Daft punk is inmortal! ✊🏼
Thanks Daft Punk. You will always be present in our lives 🙏
The drum fills on this one 🔥 Easily one of the best-engineered and produced records of the ‘10s
Song beginning just gives me goosebumps
Love this track hadn't had a space like feel in a while since Daft Punks Voyager damn I love this
Why do I see you everywhere?
Awesome Piewolf I dunno....
In hindsight, Random Access Memories is actually a very fitting conclusion album for the duo. I would’ve loved to see more from them, but I’m happy with what we got.
Don't be sad because it ended, be happy because it happened...
Wise words, Thank you.
Please shut up, I've heard this same sentence everywhere. You're not original
I’m tired of ppl saying Daft Punk retired. WE KNOW! Just enjoy the fucking music
Just gonna add on… shut up man. Seeing the same quote for a hundredth time is annoying to say the least.
This is a masterpiece in musical storytelling.
My God.. It's full of Stars!
Goosebumps, every time when it drops. Never gets old.
@Phoenix 𝙾𝚙𝚎𝚗 𝙼𝚢 PROFILE For me too. It's just so solemn somehow.
To whoever is here from the MKBHD video about the 2400$ headphones, chances are you'll never be able to figure out how much of a difference it is, unless you do a direct comparison with that one in hand. That being said, the mid section of this song.. ufff. Fkin amazing!
Lakshminarayanan Krishnan so you have the 2400 dollars headphones?
TechMate HD nope and so I will never know.
I really doubt you'd get a huge difference than with a 200-400$ headphones.
You won't, unless you the rest of the hardware is superior as well. You'd have to listen it from a better source too, not from TH-cam. :)
@@pouaichh6099 you've never heard a high end headphone.. I don't know about hd820 specifically, but trust me.. the stax sr009 is breathtaking..
Daft Punk sin duda son uno de los mejores artistas en la historia de musica. Genios
