I was recommended by someone to watch a cover of this song by Enna Aloulette and I was so desperately wishing this song to be added in project sekai, but didn't know it was already recently added in jp! And it's covered by N25 just as I expected. Dreams do come true!
Given all that happened with Nijisanji I couldn't stomach following Enna as a streamer or anything else she did moving forward. And yet when this song came out in Global recently I still couldn't help myself but think "Damn, Enna honestly slayed tf out of this song". That cover of hers is indeed insane, by far my favorite. N25 did a pretty good job too, this song honestly is a banger either way, the amount of people that have made covers of this speaks on its own.
i’m honestly not sure who sung “gott ist tot”, but i like to think it’s Mafuyu, and here’s why (first of all, “gott ist tot” is german for “god is dead”.): I know God-ish was sung after the “saying goodbye to my masked self” event. Even though I haven’t really read the event yet, I would assume Mafuyu is free from her mom and can finally be herself and not have to put up a “good girl” facade. Since “gott ist tot” translates to “god is dead”, I like to think “god” in the sentence really means Mafuyu’s facade. I feel like it’s Mafuyu acknowledging that her facade is now “dead”, so I like to think of “gott ist tot/god is dead” as a metaphor for her facade being broken/gone. (i really hope this makes sense 😭)
