As a kid in the '70's I didn't really care for ELO. Now having rediscovered them at 58 years old I'm like "what the hell was I thinking". Amazingly beautiful. 👍👍👍

I have Hyperparathyroidism, which means that my thyroid glands are working overtime in the extreme, and I eat 5 meals a day, but still burn it off. My metabolism is not compromised but enhanced in the extreme. My body is the same size, dimensions, volume, mass, weight, waist/inseam, neck/arm length….everything except my shoe size has remained the same as when I was 17 years old, and my shoe size went from 12 to 13 to now .,..it’s 14. I’ve been listening to ELO the entire time. I’ve never seemed to be interested in the band leader or its exceptional members ….. I just know that I like the music, the sound, the lyrics, and sometime the innovative instrumental/the electronica calisthenics, State Of The Art usage of audio sampling tricks candy sauce applied to the latest new album recording debuts (back in the day and at that previous era of good current times, as we waited….champing at the bit drooling for the next installment album to magically appear at out favorite music records and tapes store outlet) ….the premier warehouse retail sales record music outlet at that time would be the one and only TOWER RECORDS, on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, California. When I heard this album’s playlist single track, Mister Blue Sky, I just about lost my ‘lil monkey mind there for several seconds. Saw ELO in '77 and was one of the best concerts ever. The laser light show was incredible but, nothing compared to the performance of the band. What a great group of musicians led by one of the best talents in music, Jeff Lynne. I was blessed to have had that opportunity and treasure the memory.

I saw ELO when I was in the Army in Germany in 77, and every song they sang sounded exactly like the album. Jeff Lynne is a perfectionist when it comes to music. It was one of the best concerts I had ever seen. And of course since it was in Germany Status Quo was one of the acts also. What a concert!!!

I remember getting the 45 Rpm vinyl of this. Loved it and was such an effort to buy as I was at a boarding school in Singapore. I didn't have a record player too! I remember searching for one in the school facility on the weekend. That was not allowed. I had to listen to it and managed to find one. I sat there and played it once. The next time I heard it by chance was some 40 yrs after in 2014. So many yrs after those memorable 70's summer afternoon.
I did see Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra in New York 2016 Toronto in 2018 and 2019. They were voted the best live classic Rock Band in the world 🌎 and after seeing about more than 200 concerts in my life I totally agree. Let’s hope they tour one more time in 2022-2023. I will go wherever they play.🙏❤️👍

I saw ELO when I was in the Army in Germany in 77, and every song they sang sounded exactly like the album. Jeff Lynne is a perfectionist when it comes to music. It was one of the best concerts I had ever seen. And of course since it was in Germany Status Quo was one of the acts also. What a concert!!!

I remember getting the 45 Rpm vinyl of this. Loved it and was such an effort to buy as I was at a boarding school in Singapore. I didn't have a record player too! I remember searching for one in the school facility on the weekend. That was not allowed. I had to listen to it and managed to find one. I sat there and played it once. The next time I heard it by chance was some 40 yrs after in 2014. So many yrs after those memorable 70's summer afternoon.

I did see Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra in New York 2016 Toronto in 2018 and 2019. They were voted the best live classic Rock Band in the world 🌎 and after seeing about more than 200 concerts in my life I totally agree. Let’s hope they tour one more time in 2022-2023. I will go wherever they play.🙏❤️👍
