- While scrolling through the Amazon Seller Central forums, I came across this new post by a new seller; they were looking for advice in regard to Selling on Amazon with Retail Arbitrage. You’ll come to quickly find out that “RA” or “Retail Arbitrage” is the almighty devil to these other sellers, who are selling the “correct way” on Amazon. I've been doing FBA over 10 years and I have never went to the forums. And rarely go to the internet. If I do, I do it skeptically. So many scary stores and misinformation. If you read the forums it sounds like every seller is going to be banned overnight for their business model lo.
Hello everybody, there is a channel with 2 ladies, all they talk about is how bad and how they just can't find items to sell anymore and that amazon and selling have changed so much that it is so discouraging, I had to stop watching those amazon videos, be careful with people like this, they're trying to push you away

@Bluegrass Profits hey thanks man,I rather not say ,but its an amzon FBA related channel these ladies have blog about how they can't sell but the strange thing is that I see they keep selling and sending their items on other videos, so I unsubscribe and stopped watching them

It’s a great way to discourage new sellers.. I’ve seen this posted also and have ignored it and keep going.
This is the best mentality to have! we know it works, just be smart with what your selling and if it seems sketchy, just avoid it.
Looks like you removed your comment.... I've had 1,462 orders so far this year which puts me at $41K. I currently have 121 active SKU's, I think at one point I had 259 skus. Usually all just 1 or 2 of an item. The more you can afford to send in, the more you will grow. Feed the Beast as most people say.

Absolutely! It is always comical reading the seller forums. And 100%! It is no walk in the park, it takes work and time, but it does work!

If RA pays my utility bills for the month, I'm a happy camper. I own a painting business, so I have no interest in being full-time on Amazon. I do have future plans for a couple of private label products, but they'll have to wait until I have more time to dump into the research.
RA takes time, patience, and discipline. Some of that time can be fun, but a great deal of it might be peeling sale labels with a Scotty, getting products prepped to ship, then finding out your 85 boxes of granola bars have to go to three different warehouses, etc.
Stick with it, save your profits for the first few months for more buying power, and scan, scan, scan.

They are comical! While it is all competitive, my growth with selling has grown a significant amount my talking and sharing items with other resellers. Definitely worthwhile!

Receipts don't always work even when the upc on the receipt matches the item.....speaking from experience
But sometimes they do work. If its a high cost item I will usually take pictures of the item's UPC and have it next to the receipt.

Hi, thank you for all of your videos! I have a question for you. Do you use an app like Jungle scout or Amz Base, etc. If so, which one do you recommend? Also, when you buy items, do you immediately send them in or do you wait until someone buys it? Thank you

I use Keepa and Scoutify 2, I’ve heard of jungle scout but have never used it and I’ve never heard of Amz Base, unfortunately I can’t recommend either for those reasons.
More often than not, I send it all in relatively quickly. I atleast like to get a decent sized shipment together first so I save on shipping

Jungle Scout is not for the RA/OA biz model. Its geared towards Private Label sellers.
Hi! Thanks for the useful video! But do you remove store clearance labels (when you buy items on clearance) before sending them to Amazon FBA? If yes, How do you do that? sometimes it is hard to remove these stickers.

How did you get ungated in cosmetic
My seller app says nothing about buy box price, its says featured price, is that an updated thing in the app?
Usually If it doesn’t say anything about the BB price then the box is suppressed

Hi, I just got my account deactivated on amazon because they state section 3 and that I need to provide proof that the items im selling are authentic and not fraudulent. It involves Google nest, gopro and Philips. I sent them my appeal and receipts showing the valid barcodes/ upcs and they told me those are not valid proofs and need to be invoices from wholesalers or distributors. I am stuck and have over $5000 of product at amazon right now and no sales this whole week. Can you instruct me on what I did wrong or how I can get reactivated, please thank you.
Hi there, I’m sorry to hear this has happened to you. I’m not sure on Google and Philips, but GoPro is huge on protecting their brand and hit sellers with IP complaints very often.
I’ve never had to use my receipts to prove authenticity but just for proof of purchase.
Sometimes it’s all about resubmitting until you find someone to approve it.

@@underratedasmr7052 I’m not too sure on the appeals. I know I’ve submitted to get ungated like 7x before they finally accepted it. My thought was they’ll just me “no.” Not sure that’s the right philosophy or not

The people commenting on that forum act like it isn’t smart to have multiple income streams 😂 “if they were making so much money they wouldn’t need monetized videos” um why not? Even rich people keep building income streams so they can put in work once and make money from that.
Exactly! The more income streams the better! I’ve now made it to monetized videos but it’s not enough to live off of by any means. Doesn’t help I haven’t made a video on a little while either though lol
Pay attention as he is keeping it 💯 with you all. The process works just not gonna get rich overnight. RA does pay the bills even though the 2020 pandemic. Great videos and info. Richie does make money from TH-cam but It’s pennies in comparison to RA. You break things down and make it very clear and easy to understand. Aka MileHighHustlers on TH-cam.

Will a invoice work from a distributor to get ungated ?
This should get you ungated. The invoice needs to have your name and address (needs to match your amazon name/address on file), the distributors name and their address, it also should say "Invoice," however I have had luck with packing slips in the past to work.

I opened my professional amazon seller account a month ago. Haven't listed a thing yet. I go to different stores and everything I scan needs approval: toys, clothing, food, beauty etc.
Then I found info that you can not submit receipts from stores only invoices from distributors to get approved. Is it true? Should I buy those ten items from a store and just submit store receipt? I sell on poshmark and mercari not for a living but just to get rid of old stuff I have. So far amazon is the most confusing and intimidating platform.

Hi 👋🏼, yes mostly everything needs approval to list on amazon out the gate but then gets easier after that.
Store receipts will not work for ungating but they can be used to provide authenticity with items when problems arise.
You don’t need an invoice from a distributor to get ungated, sometimes packing slips work when buying online, just depends on the amazon rep on the other side clicking whether or not you get approval. I have a couple videos of what I’ve used to get ungated. But to make things easier, Eastbay, BSN sports, Kohls, WeinersLTD, frontier co-op and EE Distribution are what I’ve used to ungate many brands as well health & beauty, grocery & gourmet, toys, OTC, and a lot of apparel.
