I have an etrex 10. When I go to the Waypoint Manager, it only shows me a list of 19 Waypoints. I know that the device has the rest of the Waypoints saved, but I can only access by searching them manually. Do you know if there is a way for the device to show me the complete list of Waypoints?
My etrex 10 is likely a bit older than yours and I don't have a dedicated Waypoint Manager like on newer/more expensive models. But, if you go to Find and then select Waypoints, all of the stored waypoints should be listed. I think these models only store 20 tracks, too.
Interesting, I got 1 but couldn't use it. Question is if I want to navigate to my missing existing boundary but my coordinates were in different formats, will I need to convert my coordinates into WGS84?
If you know the datum from which the coordinates were derived, you can usually select that in your GPS settings. For example, if the boundary was based on an old topo map, you might need to change the WGS84 to North American 1927 (NAD 27). The GPS software should then convert your actual X,Y coordinates (whether you are using lat/on or UTM).
Really helpful. Buying one of these before I go hiking out in Olympic.
