FG, thanks for the instructional how to-very helpful and useful. So am I correct in understanding that the flight mode for flap/elevator trim you’ve done is a “second” flight mode setup than the “regular” flight mode we always set up (I.e., using 3-position switch position 1: Safe, position 2: AS3R+, position 3: no gyro or safe)? and this second flight mode setup is associated with just your flap switch?

I have the same question. I would like to see what the Flight Mode screen looks when you have multiple switches enabled outlined above.

I finally got it to work. I needed to ensure that each possible combination of swith positions was noted as its own mode in the flight mode setup screen. As an example Switch B is my flight mode and Switch D are my flaps so Acrobatic Mode + Flaps up is flight mode 1, Acrobatic Mode + Takeoff Flaps is flight mode 2, Acrobatic Mode + Landing Flaps is flight mode 3, ASX Mode + Flaps up is flight mode 4... so fourth and so on. Once I had this set, it recorded adjustemtns to elevator for each mode correctly. Not sure if this is the proper way to do it, but it works so far. With this setup, you need to ensure you have 9 flight modes. Hopefully that makes sense. If there is a better way to do it, please let me know. I love the idea of setting this up in flight and not having to worry about it again.

Well think of a mix , in a mix you have one action to happen with another action is happen automatically, ( example the elevator goes up five clicks when landing flaps are deployed)however to arrive at the CORRECT amount of mix takes a lot of test to find that perfect balance. What A flight mode does is allows you to set up the perfect balance in one attempt instead of a long drawn out series of testing. Think of flight modes as preset mixes you can adjust while in flight! I hope this did not make it as clear as mud! ...lol

@@lelzie The receiver's flight modes don't have anything to do with the transmitter's flight modes. To control the receiver's flight modes, all you have to do is assign a switch to the receiver's flight modes channel. The transmitter's flight modes are only used for the flaps.
